Can’t see any map on Gov.uk
BBC postcode search does not include tier update.
Can anyone help me find the map?

Apart from Liverpool, It hasn't been decided yet what tier places will be in.

Nottinghamshire plus all the areas currently with restrictions (except Liverpool) are in tier 2.

Lola, if you want to say where you (and your parents) are we might know the answer?

CrappleUmble · 12/10/2020 17:34

@Devlesko

We are tier 2 but our MP wasn't even invited to the briefing and all the others were. Shadow home sec too, it's abysmal. She heard on twitter.
I suppose it makes a change from the government notifying the north about what's next via The Times.
JaceLancs · 12/10/2020 17:36

The fate of Lancashire is undecided as yet
Local councillors are still in talks with ministers

ChaChaCha2012 · 12/10/2020 17:38

@JaceLancs All of Lancs is under tier 2.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 12/10/2020 17:38

Anyone know about Newcastle?

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 12/10/2020 17:40

@Itsabeautifuldayheyhey

Try your local newspaper. Mine has said we are in tier 2 but it is a major city and may have been brought up in HOC.
Mine too (possibly the same one - MEN?) I only hope they got it right - we were all expecting worse
MayFayre · 12/10/2020 17:40

The Times, but I wonder how accurate it is. Parts of Nottinghamshire are medium not high on this.

ChaCha
Our hideous MP has just posted that we are in tier 2 on twitter.
I’ve asked him where this information has been published!

My thoughts:

  • if you're already under any kind of lockdown, you're in the High tier.
  • if you're in Liverpool, you're in the Very High tier.
  • if you're not in either of these, you're Medium.

And if you're on the border of an area, check your local press as I'm sure they'll be covering it Smile

Top half of the map. Could only do it as a screenshot because of the paywall.

Looks like everywhere is tier 2 apart from Liverpool/Lancs? (map above)

Anyone know about Newcastle?
The chronicle are saying tier 2...I don't believe everything they say though!
everythingthelighttouches · 12/10/2020 17:45

if you're already under any kind of lockdown, you're in the High tier.

So no change then.

if you're not in either of these, you're Medium

So no change then.

I think I’ve understood the same as you EggysMom, in which case it just feels like it wasn’t really an announcement.

ImSleepingBeauty · 12/10/2020 17:45

The Sun have published each individual region and their tier level down to individual London borough.
I won’t be relying on it but I wonder how they have the info to do this.

RelaisBlu · 12/10/2020 17:46

My daughter used the NHS covid app - it told us the tier for where we live. She had it on her phone while Boris was still on his feet in Parliament

NandosPeriometer · 12/10/2020 17:49

Boris said basically if you're currently in local lockdown then you're tier 2 apart from Liverpool which is tier 3.

DumplingsAndStew · 12/10/2020 17:49

Impatient much.

Maybe wait for the announcement?

ChristmasCantComeSoonEnough · 12/10/2020 17:50

Unless you’re in Cheshire which is not currently under any restrictions but will go into tier 2. Despite there being plenty of places with higher cases per 100k that will be in tier 3. Can anyone explain that to me?

Tfoot75 · 12/10/2020 17:51

Correct, except it has been mentioned that 4 areas are being added to tier 2: I think they were Nottinghamshire, East and West Cheshire and High Peak.
ChristmasCantComeSoonEnough · 12/10/2020 17:51

Sorry meant the places with more cases are only in tier 1.

AudTheDeepMinded · 12/10/2020 17:51

Why the fuck Exeter isn't classed as high risk I don't know. 345 cases per 100,000 currently.

RedComb · 12/10/2020 17:53

It is a disgrace that the tiers have been allocated according to how powerful your mayor is and his business ‘links’ and not the infection rate in your area. Greater Manchester should be in tier 3.

Thelongdarkteatime · 12/10/2020 17:54

Sky news have just published a list of areas.
