Can’t see any map on Gov.uk
BBC postcode search does not include tier update.
Can anyone help me find the map?

@melodypondisasuperhero

Just looked at the map *@unmarkedbythat* posted, what's with the "illegal raves" bit???
Strange. Illegal raves are already banned - clue in the word 'illegal'.
Pelleas · 12/10/2020 18:23

Usual mess and confusion from dickhead Boris.

Sophiesdog2020 · 12/10/2020 18:25

@CaptainMyCaptain

It’s decided by your local authority not postcode.

We are in Cheshire but a Stoke on Trent postcode, as far as I am aware we come under the Cheshire guidelines.

Although we spend a lot of time in Stoke/staffs area and still will go there and eat.

Usual mess and confusion from dickhead Boris.

Boris was clear.

It's the local authorities and local media who are confusing

BaldricksCoffee · 12/10/2020 18:26

@Rafflesway

Totally unacceptable!

This information should have gone "Live" within minutes of the PM's announcement. 😡

The PM said that it is to take effect from Wednesday. If they had put the information live now it could have caused confusion.

There is an interactive map on the Times website.
ChaChaCha2012 · 12/10/2020 18:29

@Flaxmeadow MPs are stating which tier their constituencies are under. Given that you don't understand the information that has been published, can we agree that the Prime Minister has not been clear?

Flaxmeadow · 12/10/2020 18:30

My friend in a currently unrestrained part of the North East has sent me a post from her MP stating they will now be Tier 2. So obviously something has been decided

Same here and my local council are also telling people, but it hasn't been decided yet in London/ parliament. We won't know anything for sure until Wednesday.

Out of the areas in the north affected, only Liverpool has agreed so far. That's why it keeps getting mentioned but other areas could be in tier 3 on Wednesday

The BBC have lists.

I know they are but ultimately central government can override them.

The relevant parties are in talks until Wednesday

Listen to what he said today

Lolaloveslemonade · 12/10/2020 18:33

DumplingsAndStew

Impatient much

Maybe wait for the announcement?

I watched his announcement at 3.30pm.

It's on the COVID nhs app

www.gov.uk/government/news/prime-minister-announces-new-local-covid-alert-levels

CaptainMyCaptain · 12/10/2020 18:35

I've just seen on BBC Look North we are in Tier 1.

EachPeachPearSums · 12/10/2020 18:37

I'm really surprised to see no change at all for any part of london

Bowerbird5 · 12/10/2020 18:37

Listen and watch your local news.

Ours stated it clearly.

PhilCornwall1 · 12/10/2020 18:40

Presenter on Sky has just said they have a list of news.Sky.com

Not sure if they have, but might be worth a look.

ChaChaCha2012 · 12/10/2020 18:41

Flax, you're making yourself look stupid now. We all heard what he said, as did the various journalists and MPs who are passing this information on. If you didn't understand, then either Johnson wasn't clear, or you couldn't understand his (in your words) clear message.

user1471439240 · 12/10/2020 18:41

What time does Johnson go to the Country?

AlfieandAnnieRose · 12/10/2020 18:43

@user1471439240 at 7pm

ChaChaCha2012 · 12/10/2020 18:43

@Flaxmeadow Quoting directly from Hansard:

The high alert level reflects the interventions in many local areas at the moment. This primarily aims to reduce household-to-household transmission, by preventing all mixing between different households or support bubbles indoors. In these areas, the rule of six will continue to apply outdoors, where it is harder for the virus to spread, in public spaces as well as private gardens. Most areas which are already subject to local restrictions will automatically move into the high alert level. As a result of rising infection rates, Nottinghamshire, east and west Cheshire and a small area of High Peak will also move into the high alert level.

Sophiesdog2020 · 12/10/2020 18:46

I'm really surprised to see no change at all for any part of london

According to the list I have seen on the web, nowhere south of Birmingham is Tier 2 or 3, but yet Exeter has very high numbers I believe?

Can someone explain why London and other high number areas in south are not included?

user1471439240 · 12/10/2020 18:47

@AlfieandAnnieRose
Thank you

DanaScully53 · 12/10/2020 18:48

It's all on www.gov.uk/coronavirus now. Tier 1 for us.
