Carrying on from the old thread....

Still no email about the Christmas slots.

It's ridiculous. They have clearly stuck us all into tiers again, but this time they are not even bothering with the courtesy of telling us what limits they've stuck on our accounts - how often we can book and how far ahead, or whether we have been dumped completely. And just spewing out template responses blaming high customer demand for slots and telling us to keep checking back. Treating customers with utter arrogance and contempt. (Other supermarkets appear to have delivery slot availability, so I think they protest too much.)
If they weren't the only people who sell a couple of things my fussy eater lives on, I would flounce.

CoteFolie · 09/11/2020 19:54

I can't wait to flounce! After 9 years I feel Ocado have let me down at a time when I needed them. They don't deserve my ongoing custom.

I can picture it now as soon as this is all over and we all flounce. I can't wait either if I'm honest.

I had an email from Amazon earlier as well offering me Morrisons deliveries through them. Free over £40 and I can get a delivery in the morning.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 09/11/2020 20:42

I have no idea what they are doing. I've been able to book 3 weeks in advance but that seems to have stopped. I've got a delivery for 20th November but nothing after that. I understand deliveries have to be prioritised but at least have the decency to inform customers what's happening!

I've booked a delivery with Tesco and will probably try Morrison's after seeing Bailey's for £12 a bottle!

SavoyCabbage · 09/11/2020 21:19

I'm also going to flounce to Morrison's.

It's taking me longer to try and get a slot and deal with the lack of products and substitutions than it would to a go to the shops.

Not having the app is driving me crazy as you can't just add one thing when you remember as it takes about three minutes and you can't just leave something in your basket without checking out as there is absolutely no chance it will still be in stock.

Obviously as I don't have a slot that doesn't matter anymore!

mummabear74 · 09/11/2020 23:22

@Standrewsschool ooh we had the chocolate swiss roll last week on the meal deal and it was lovely. It's with keeping an eye out to make sure the meal deal offer comes off. I had ordered the gastro chicken pie three weeks before as part of the meal deal and they had removed it from the offer so I got charged full price for all 4 items instead of £12. They were very quick to rectify when I got in touch via the online chat.

Morrisons are delivered by Ocado
Ceara · 10/11/2020 05:07

Morrisons and Ocado divorced a while back, they have their own delivery vans now :-) But it means orders and picked and delivered from stores so the stock control is a bit wobbly sometimes. I order from them when I can't get Ocado, and they have been good to us with slot availability. Through gritted teeth, I have to admit Ocado are more reliable - fewer missing items or subs, and the order as delivered always matches the receipt whereas with Morrisons there are often random unrecorded subs, or items I've been charged for which don't turn up. They are cheaper, though. And they're not Ocado :-)

lurkingattheback · 10/11/2020 06:46

I bought a Sainsburys pass, they seem to release slots a week ahead, so you know when to book one. No constant checking and they have an app (and nectar points). Think I'm done with Ocado.

SavoyCabbage · 10/11/2020 10:42

Morrisons are delivered by Ocado

I've registered just now and there are a few slots tomorrow for £2.50 and then there are loads for every other day after that. I can't get any for Ocado at any time.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 10/11/2020 10:47

Has anyone used Morrisons through Amazon? (Apologies if this has already been discussed, I admit to not reading all 22 pages!)

Ceara · 10/11/2020 11:14

So having got today's order I can now see slots in a fortnight's time. I deduce that my ration is now 1 slot every 7 days, up to 2 weeks ahead. I was able to book up to 3 weeks ahead previously, if that helps anyone trying to guess what their allocation is. Beats me why Ocado won't tell us what the algorithm has allotted us so we can get on with life. I can deal with rationing if I know when to log in and book. It's the porkies they are telling everyone, about customer demand blah blah new slots released daily witter witter no guarantees piffle waffle blah (but btw here's how to hand in your smart pass, now off you fuck and make way for some better customers)... to create an impression that there are no available slots because other customers already snapped them up but if we keep hovering then eventually we will be the lucky ones, that particularly rile me.

CarlaH · 10/11/2020 11:21

Amazingly, after many attempts, I just spotted that I can have a delivery for tomorrow and quite cheaply at £2.99.

I have had a basket full of items just waiting to get a slot but when I selected it loads of things in my basket are unavailable.

So many in fact that it isn't worth my while bothering to continue.

Madcats · 10/11/2020 11:31

I can see slots for tomorrow and Thursday (early evening) for £4.99.
My local Waitrose has no slots for delivery OR Click and Collect and the one 6 miles away just has one Click and Collect in the next fortnight.

Either people are cancelling their Ocado slots or round here they are releasing new ones the day before. I suppose another explanation would be that people are ordering less than they were last lockdown, so they can fit more orders in each van?

Aurorie11 · 10/11/2020 14:35

@PinkSparklyPussyCat I've used Amazon prime now supplied by Morrisons, but just for small top up shops. It's delivered in brown bags by a man in a car, I tend to use for non-pershables

Alchemilla55 · 10/11/2020 15:28

My latest Ocado order had only one missing item, and no substitutions. It was 2 hours late but they did keep me informed via text, and it wasn't as if I was going anywhere. I can still get deliveries easily so I have no complaints on that score. I am 50/50 with the M&S products - I love some of them, but others are not impressive. I'm sticking with Ocado but I preferred their partnership with Waitrose.

ByebyeOcado · 10/11/2020 16:35

Love my Waitrose deliveries. I have free gifts every week! This week it was yoghurt drink, cat treats and yoghurt!

Shellingbynight · 10/11/2020 16:55

I've had a few Waitrose deliveries over the summer (and I have one tomorrow) and I've never had a free gift. I've found Waitrose have more out of stock / missing items than Ocado, but they seem to be resolving that - everything on tomorrow's order was in stock on the website, although of course it may not actually all turn up.

Wisteria1979 · 10/11/2020 17:44

How do you get free gifts with waitrose? I’ve started ordering from them but not had a free gift 🙁

DobbyTheHouseElk · 10/11/2020 19:38

I’m seriously concerned about my Christmas delivery. I can’t put any actual food in for Christmas. It’s all OOS. How can it be, they know I’m booked for December. Fish fingers for Christmas anyone?

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 10/11/2020 20:26

I've got my Christmas delivery booked with Ocado but I'm beginning to wonder if it'll come! It's due on Christmas Eve so I'm going to make sure we've got dinner long before that!

ByebyeOcado · 11/11/2020 00:45

They just included the gifts with my shopping. They had stickers on saying free sample!

GinAtMerlottes · 11/11/2020 07:51

I am slowly getting my Xmas shopping sorted. Managed to add parsnips today. Think I have all the absolute must haves except sprouts and a Yule log!

Wolfcub · 11/11/2020 09:55

Annoying subs today but less than last week and decent dates on things so that's an improvement. I'm conciously staying away from M&S stuff though wherever I can
