I think the slides have been replaced with this:

coronavirus-staging.data.gov.uk

It gives lots of information, particularly if you click through for more detail.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 02/07/2020 17:28

The daily figures have never been this late before!

torydeathdrug · 02/07/2020 17:57

UK total for hospital only is 45, no all settings yet.

boys3 · 02/07/2020 18:01

hmmm dashboard still not updated

These are side by side (ish) the six weekly cases maps from the PHE surveillance reports up to and including today.

Asking for a worried friend in the USA
is there a good portal of the German Data
showing deaths by age / comorbidity / gender
and if possible the proportion of cases that end up very ill
I've sent them the UK data but German testing has been much MUCH better

US data is utterly useless because of the private healthcare system

@TheCountessofFitzdotterel

Puts me on edge - either there’s been a significant increase or decrease. That’s just my own speculation of course.
hopefulhalf · 02/07/2020 18:30

That would make sense, double checking. Lots more testing in Leicester

PumpkinPie2016 · 02/07/2020 18:32

Just seen a message on the new gov data dashboard saying 'from today, data for cases will include all positive tests from both pillars in all settings' or words to that effect.

But, each day, the figure is the total cases in all settings including pillar 2??

hopefulhalf · 02/07/2020 18:36
Confused
PatriciaHolm · 02/07/2020 18:39

Maybe that means they are going to split them out? The totals there at the moment are all.

PumpkinPie2016 · 02/07/2020 18:43

Maybe @PatriciaHolm

PatriciaHolm · 02/07/2020 18:49

oh and they have finally updated the hospital admissions, well England and Wales up to 29th. England have really dropped off - Wales had an increase on 29th. Will have to see where that goes but probably related to the identified clusters.

Gizlotsmum · 02/07/2020 19:03

No update on the 7 day average since Sunday?

boogiebogie · 02/07/2020 19:10

@PatriciaHolm where so i view hosi admission?

FurForksSake · 02/07/2020 19:13

The daily figures are so late, all the indicators show there shouldn't be a massive leap unless it is a hyper-local one.

FurForksSake · 02/07/2020 19:14

coronavirus-staging.data.gov.uk/ has it

I'm assuming this means for the UTLA data as well which has been Pillar 1 up to now?

Just came here because no data for today! Perhaps they are having problems adding in the p2 data?

Jenasaurus · 02/07/2020 19:25

just popped on to see if todays figures have been announced as the Govt site is still showing 1st July as the last update. Anyone know why the delay?

CaptainMerica · 02/07/2020 19:30

I came here too because no numbers. Maybe they are trying to wean us off them.

If they were particularly high, then surely they would have announced them with some spin at the earlier briefing?

I remember another day they were really late, around the peak, and everyone on this thread thought they would be awful, and they were actually lower than expected, and there was some mundane reason.

That said, if they have been doing extra testing in Leicester then they will be finding more cases.

whatsnext2 · 02/07/2020 19:36

Covid Zoe app now asking about blood group.

FurForksSake · 02/07/2020 19:44

I'm assuming the delay is them breaking the pillar two tests down for the first time.

I am a little confused as to the note, I thought daily figures at a national level were always all pillar? Is it that usually the pillar two results are delayed but that the delay is now such that it doesn't matter when looking at patterns?

"Number of people with a lab-confirmed positive test newly reported on Wednesday, 1 July 2020.

Data published from 2 July 2020 onwards for all areas include cases identified through pillars 1 and 2 of the government's mass testing programme (see below).

COVID-19 cases are identified by taking specimens from people and sending these specimens to laboratories around the UK to be tested. If the test is positive, this is a referred to as a lab-confirmed case. If a person has had more than one positive test they are only counted as one case."

Cornettoninja · 02/07/2020 19:45

I had that too - not a scooby. I vaguely recall seeing it in my notes when I was pregnant and being slightly disappointed it was so boring (not rare and not universal) and that’s it!

I think cases might have gone up. There’s a couple of larger patches developed on the Zoe app today.

Jenasaurus · 02/07/2020 19:58

Zoe App has asked me to have a test, It asked me how I was feeling, ticked all OK and just listed a blocked nose...then I get the text asking me to have a test (I know its an allergy!)

CornishYarg · 02/07/2020 20:06

Just seen Zoe app is saying 1445 daily cases today. Think it was saying around 2400 yesterday?
