Carrying on from the last Ocado thread that is about to fill up. Still haven’t been given a toblerone yet.

Nope. Not for me. It opens but then tells me they're closed. And spends the rest of the day trying to log me out.

Hmm ...

Megan2018 · 30/06/2020 10:06

2 free toblerones here! DH likes them.

We get a weekly delivery but can get one every 3 days if we like now. Our spend is pretty high though usually £150 - £200 a week in lockdown.

We have the anytime pass.

We intend going back to Waitrose once M&S replaces them though.

Yellowbutterfly1 · 30/06/2020 10:11

Just tried the app again and still not working for me.

FredAstaireAteMyHamSandwich · 30/06/2020 10:16

Whenever anything has been missing/damaged they have always refunded the purchase.

BentBastard · 30/06/2020 12:51

Maybe they're rolling it out gradually to see how it copes Confused

PerditaProvokesEnmity · 30/06/2020 13:38

Yes, that seems probable.

Does it look any different?

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 30/06/2020 13:44

I can't log in to the app but some functionality is now working... I can browse, look at recipes etc but not shop ...

BentBastard · 30/06/2020 14:04

Looks just the same and was able to access favourites, place a new order and edit an existing one.

Didn't try one click though so don't know about that....

Have to say I'm getting pissed off with them a bit now.

Still no free Toblerone, I'm apparently a priority but only being offered 7 day slots so clearly not that much of a priority and two weeks running I've had to throw an in date, rancid Ocado branded chicken in the bin.

Lesson now learned to shop elsewhere for fresh meat I think.

My local Waitrose has delivery slots but they are too hit and miss for me to move over to yet but as soon as some kind of normality has resumed I'm going there.

Noflora · 02/07/2020 12:29

Fuss I wish I could get off the priority list, before I went on it I was a loyal customer with more frequent slots now it is so rigidly one every 7 days only able to book 14 days before. I keep having top-ups with the much more flexible Waitrose which at £60 min order means I'm spending min with Ocado too. They're shooting themselves in the foot .

Yellowbutterfly1 · 02/07/2020 13:04

I’m the same as you Fuss rigidly once every 7 days. I hate the dictatorship feel of it.

I’m shocked at the number of items I’m receiving with poor packaging, ripped bread bag, cracker packaging looking like it was never sealed properly in the factory with quite big openings.

I will be going a away for a week and have felt that I have to book a delivery for the week I’m away and the following couple of weeks after when I’m allowed and then will cancel the one I don’t need as late as possible.
I don’t like doing it this way but I’m worried if I don’t at least get a couple of slots booked afterwards they will start playing silly beggars again with allowing a delivery.

My annoyance is probably petty, but normally I'll shop every Thursday. Some weeks I find I don't need much so shift to a ten day delivery but I'm only seeing an option for Thursdays, weekly. Like you I daren't cancel in case it triggers some algorithm or something daft.

Fortunately I'm shopping for MIL as well so her goods can form the majority and I'll end up adding a bag of dog food or something to get me over the £40.

I've not had a pack of brioche buns for weeks that weren't flat, this week arriving underneath a string of large Spanish onions, I said up thread last week was 2 big tubs of cream over an entire bag of goods. Oh, and he was late today so a sign things are perhaps returning to normal.

DopamineHits · 02/07/2020 17:30

I'm in Kent too, and no Toblerones here, maybe it's related to the fire recently? Don't know...

We are being overtaken by Ocado carrier bags. They're bursting out of every cupboard. I don't see how they're going to take them all back unless they start very soon.. You could fill half a van with ours. But they won't be able to say "just chuck them out" so we'll probably get an email suggesting handy uses for spare bags.

DopamineHits · 02/07/2020 17:32

I probably won't leave when M&S comes in September. Our nearest M&S is in a neighbouring village and parking is horrible. At least I'll stay till the New Year because I love M&S Christmas range.

Ontheboardwalk · 02/07/2020 22:37

I’ve been lucky enough to have a weekly delivery since lockdown started

I’ve now been offered 3 times a week orders. I’m even getting offers for buy one get one half price sparkling water. I, wrongly, assumed everything was getting back to normal. I’m shocked people still aren’t getting deliveries

Even though offered I’m not ordering bottled water, cat litter or other bulky goods in the hope it’s getting more people deliveries. I’m shocked it’s not

I did get a Tolberone with a ‘Thanks’ sleeve on it sorry, not sorry

bruffin · 02/07/2020 23:13

Im on my 5th tobleroneShock

PowerslidePanda · 03/07/2020 08:39

I thought I was finally getting a Toblerone today. Was checking out a new order and I could see the Free Gift section had appeared at the bottom of the screen. Clicked through, and it turned out to be an Ocado magazine instead Hmm

I would have thought things will be back to normal by the time M&S comes in. They'll see that as an opportunity to get new customers, but if existing customers are still complaining about their limitations, that will put them off.

CarlaH · 03/07/2020 08:45

Ontheboardwalk

Not only are people not getting deliveries they aren't even allowed to look at anything on the site.

Completely locked out.

AdaColeman · 03/07/2020 08:55

I was promised a Toblerone but it failed to materialise. Someone who is getting multiple Toblerones is getting mine! Confused Confused

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 03/07/2020 08:56

Hello, folks. Didn't realise this thread was still going on! I was last moaning about Ocado a million years ago back in March or early April before they got things sorted out (for me, she says selfishly).

I'm afraid we got a free Toblerone a few weeks back, and are also getting priority delivery slots. This is what comes of not shopping around, I suppose. We have no car, so getting stuff delivered is incredibly useful and I've got most of our food, wine and household stuff from Ocado for Shock 16 years (I checked back to the sign up email, which I still have for some reason). I don't think we're huge spenders, but what we do spend must have been enough to trigger the priority status email.

Bags! We too have bags bursting out of the cupboard under the stairs. I've used some as bin bags. There are still dozens and dozens of the blighters, though.

Definitely more expensive at present. Not at all sure what we will do on the dread day when Waitrose and Ocado part company for good. It's already clear that many Waitrose own brands are no longer in stock. I wish the Waitrose online site was better.

Wolfcub · 03/07/2020 09:51

I'm back to weekly deliveries and have had two toblerones. Agree with others that things are definitely more expensive and I've had more subs in the last few weeks than in the last few years combined

PerditaProvokesEnmity · 03/07/2020 10:10

I don't understand the rationale of specifically offering customers 3 times a week deliveries. (I could have weekly but only need alternate weeks so not bitter!)

I mean, in normal times, with a SmartPass one could order every day, presumably. But at a time when they clearly still can't cope with new/random/occasional shoppers it doesn't seem to make sense.

Still no return of the app here ...

Mominatrix · 03/07/2020 10:15

Someone else can have my Toblerones - I cant abide them. Next weeks delivery has masses of things on discount which I regularly order so perhaps they are getting rid of overstock they were holding onto during strict lockdown?
