Ocado priority, tips and hacks and Toblerone

Carrying on from the last Ocado thread that is about to fill up. Still haven’t been given a toblerone yet.

Well I cba. I know it's a business and loyalty and all that but not letting new people register and book slots/see available slots is crappy. I've just logged on to Waitrose and booked for Sunday instead.

I can get deliveries every 3 days and have had toblerone and the sorry voucher. We spend far too much there.

I am considering switching to waitrose shortly though because I’m missing all the waitrose products they’ve already dropped, I don’t find their replacements convincing, and am not looking forward to the M&S switch at all.

I've spent about £300-400 a week since lockdown. Offered toblerone. Never received it.

I've got a delivery tomorrow and have just had a text to say that they had to evacuate the warehouse today due to an incident in a nearby building, so my order might have more missing items and substitutions than usual.

Two Toblerones here , had email suggesting I might be able to get deliveries more than once a week but I can't!

I have noticed that more and more Waitrose stuff is now unavailable too.

Still no yeast or icing sugar.

Dh has made icing sugar by blending normal sugar. He’s very pleased with himself. Haven’t the heart to tell him I have a full box!

I got fresh yeast last week, and the week before.

I have never been offered a Toblerone! Is this a regional thing? My deliveries are to the Medway Towns, in Kent.

I've not been offered any Toblerone but I ordered 2 Ben and Jerrys on the 2 for £6 deal and 3 have showed up!

Looked at toberlones, pricey no sign of being free !

Two toblerones here. Been able to get a weekly delivery every week for the last 3 weeks but can't get on to edit my next delivery, cut-off tonight and I only completed half the order.

They appear when you’re checking out as an optional free gift like the Ocado magazine thing.

I got another toblerone today and yay marmite crisps and mini pork and pickle pork pies are back in stock.

No Toblerone here either.
I can now order once a week, thankfully on a weekday so it’s covered by my midweek delivery pass.

I think it was an IT glitch one day when after only allowing me a day that I had to pay for delivery on top of my monthly fee a Tuesday night slot appeared so I grabbed it as fast as I could.
Since then I can only have a Wednesday, I know I should be great full for it and I am, but I’m getting to the stage where I’m starting to get peeved off that it’s Only a Wednesday And only once a week. It’s feels like a dictatorship.

Dear God, I think I better have another G&T, it’s ridiculous how stupid things are annoying me with this lockdown.

@Yellowbutterfly1 - Are you booking your next slot at the earliest opportunity? If so, you might find that Thursday opens up if you wait another day, Friday if you wait 2 days, etc. I'm also allowed a slot every 7 days, but am actually booking them every 10 days.

I’ve been booking for the following week every Wednesday morning.
They only show me a Wednesday. After the huge issue I had with Ocado at the start of all of this only allowing me either a Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday (conveniently the only days I would have to pay extra for) I did try and wait extra days to see if a midweek slot ever appears like you have suggested but it never would.

That’s why I think it was a sudden IT glitch when after weeks, a sudden Tuesday night appeared.

I suppose I just desperately want normality back, back to booking my normal Tuesday morning slot with no issues but I doubt that will happen again for a long time.

Oh - yes, that does sound like a glitch Fingers crossed that they let you book more frequent slots soon and that resolves it!

If you click the change delivery thing under your order in your order list then go through the "are you Sure" and the address check then the calender offers me other slots around my allowed delivery date (the one I am possibly changing). If there is nothing I like better than my current one I just leave the page and my order stays the date and time it is.

Yay! This today from Ocado:

Your monthly membership fee will remain at £5.99 - lower than the standard monthly fee of £9.99.

I know lots of people are paying less, but I'm relieved it hasn't been increased, as I would have had to Take A View and Consider My Position.

Had a £5 voucher last week.
Only because the packing was so dire 500ml of cream was upended on half my shopping. Refunded all the bag (most of which I managed to salvage) and gave me a fiver.
Still no Toblerone. Bastards.

No Toblerone for me or offer of one.
I’ve noticed there are fewer Waitrose products available and more Ocado things. Especially fruit and veg.
I have a smart pass but I don’t want to stick around for the M&S change.
Do you think Waitrose will announce their delivery plans soon?

My mum received a random pack of bacon, and a 5kg bag of potatoes today in her shopping. She would have preferred a Toblerone...
