Carrying on from the last Ocado thread that is about to fill up. Still haven’t been given a toblerone yet.

Thanks shallwethree, I have had them check once, will go back again

And sorry if my earlier post about future slots read as smug or boastful to anyone, wasn't intended to, just for info as some delivery areas must be experiencing different demand/supply capabilities to others.

Some things out of stock that really shouldn't be though.

I have tried to make my orders as final as possible just in case they stop letting us edit them again which was hard as I am a serial trolley fiddler

Ceara · 22/09/2020 16:55

I was able to book slots on any day until a week or so ago. Then lots of days were suddenly greyed out and it looked as though I was being restricted to one every 5 days again. Now I can only see one day every 7 (Tuesdays). All with no comms from Ocado apart from the generic "slots are booking up faster than usual, book ahead" email. Yet again, Ocado seem to have a customer communication fail as well as a delivery slots issue...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/09/2020 17:22

I think the lack of comms is what is most irking and the going from having total choice a week ago to nothing. It implies that they didn't see this coming and start managing the issuing of slots.

Whydoyouthinkthatthen · 22/09/2020 17:31

I don't really understand the bag email. I get that they will cap your first refund at the number of bags you had in the last delivery before they stopped charging. I presume that they charge for bags in deliveries after 21 September.

If I have 10 bags on 25 September, and another delivery on 6 October, and another delivery on 11th October, if I hand no bags back on 6th October can I hand all the bags from 25th September and 6th October back on 11th October and get a full refund? Or am I capped at the 6th Oct delivery number?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/09/2020 17:33

I have 60 bazillion bags to return, but joined when bags were free, so I guess I won't get a refund. Which is fair enough!

Wolfcub · 23/09/2020 14:34

Five items missing and three others substituted. Some of the subs are stupid

Also struggle to understand how they can't find a sub for bagged salad (although I guess I should be glad it's not a tonne of beetroot this time)

Will have to go to the shops now as essential bits for packed lunches are missing

goldensummerhouse · 23/09/2020 16:16

I handed back 99 bags yesterday, and had 65p deducted from my order. It's nice to have the grey plastic mountain halved.

I've tried a few of the M&S ready meals while DP is away and honestly they're a bit blah, I expected better quality than other supermarkets but it's a similar standard really...

goldensummerhouse · 23/09/2020 16:21

Sheerluxe article on their Ocado M&S picks. Not a lot of effort expended. They usually put a face to these articles to tell us what they're "obsessed" with and what they "can't live without out" and what's always in their fridge for those hummus/pesto/bresaola emergencies. This just looks like a copy and paste from the Ocado PR team Grin

By the way, what happened to the "posh cheese on toast" everyone was crazy for a few years back? I was going to try it. Discontinued?

LittleRen · 23/09/2020 18:16

I’m becoming very disappointed with the shelf life of products. Particularly bread products - pitta and wraps would have lasted me the week, now they go out of date within 2 days. I will have to try and buy more Ocado branded items but they are always oos. Sigh.

Houseplanted · 24/09/2020 09:40

www.whtimes.co.uk/news/ocado-call-centre-in-hatfield-closes-and-moves-to-sunderland-1-6852361 I was happy with Ocado during lockdown, happy with the change to M&S but not happy about how they are treating the staff who worked so very hard over the last few months.

PersephonePromotesEquanimity · 24/09/2020 13:34

Every single thing arrived this morning.

(But I didn't order any fresh fruit or vegetables, frozen food, ready meals or snacks.)

Fascinated to see I could now order pyjamas with my milk and eggs ... (Though I didn't.)

Declined the Percy Pigs - don't know anyone who'd want them.

But still back to only a single day in the week available in the calendar. Stupidly it does make me inclined to buy ahead - which must translate to more, though that's not my intention.

Fuss · 24/09/2020 14:35

half an hour early and just missing fresh sprouts husband is celebrating
But, most of the M&S stuff I wanted to order was OOS anyway.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/09/2020 09:30

Bang on time. No subs. Huge bag of bags taken, small refund given based on number of bags I had for my last delivery before lockdown (as per website).

One missing item. I was ordering Ocado cherries every week for months, but for the last few weeks they've been either out of stock on the website or notified as OOS at the point of delivery. So I was delighted to see they were in today's order, but not hugely surprised when yet again they were not actually delivered. The M&S cherries are always out of stock. Teething problems, I suppose. I wonder how they're going to cope at Christmas.

Noflora · 25/09/2020 21:55

Today's delivery still not up to past standard. 2 subs, 1 missing item and fresh stuff shorter dates than I like.

Onceuponatimethen · 25/09/2020 22:10

Mine was good today - offered an early delivery, polite driver, no subs at all. It was my big stockpile order with loo roll etc

deflationexasperation · 25/09/2020 22:12

How far in advance can you book?
I managed to get two slots in October no other months are showing.
I normally get one once a week. When do new slots come available?

Aurorie11 · 25/09/2020 22:13

Six missing items, incl a whole chicken not subbed obviously not a chicken in stock at all!!!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/09/2020 22:40

I can book four weeks ahead (28 days). Anytime Smart Pass, priority customer (if that's still running).

OhYouBadBadKitten · 25/09/2020 23:19

nothing for me beyond the 7th oct.

GaryUnicorn · 25/09/2020 23:24

I have slots booked for the 3rd and then 9th October. I can get nothing else. Oh well, back to Amazon Fresh, who are cheaper a lot of the time.

PickAChew · 25/09/2020 23:53

Still no availability for me. Not seen a van for a few days, either. Beginning to wonder if they have given up on the northeast.

StanfordPines · 26/09/2020 08:06

Nothing missing for me yesterday but I seem I’m now only allowed a delivery a week again.

I wouldn’t mind if I had been told. It’s the lack of communication that is annoying.

Mirrorxx · 26/09/2020 08:09

Until last week I could book a month ahead but now I can’t see anything pst 7th October, and only 2 days a week before then. I’m quite annoyed there has been no email to explain that there has obviously been a change in the rules again

AChickenCalledDaal · 26/09/2020 08:25

Missing cheddar. Last week missing tinned sweetcorn. I've moaned along the lines of "seriously? You're telling me there's no cheddar available in the entire warehouse?"

Got a response saying that is down to suppliers "letting them down" too late for a substitution to be processed. Which I read as "the cheese delivery was late and we're packing your order much too late to organise a substitution so you'll have to go without".

CrunchyCarrot · 26/09/2020 08:36

Interesting re bags. I haven't had an email about that subject. I have dozens stashed in my shed! Why on earth would they cap the number you can get a refund for? That won't encourage folk to return bags.

Speaking of bags, I am now getting the odd delivery from Waitrose as I miss some of the things I bought from their lines, and am not so keen on the M&S stuff. I thought my delivery would be in bags (website said so) but the young man delivering said that as of now they are no longer using bags, even for frozen items. Which meant he had to laboriously unload all the items of my shopping by hand!
