Do you plan to take back carrier bags again for recycling?
We will resume charging for, and buying back, carrier bags from 22nd September.
Will I be refunded when I return my saved bags?
Yes, you will; however, please note that our drivers can only collect one filled bag per delivery.

- Our drivers will bring your delivery to your door.
- You need to bag up your bags in one outer Ocado carrier bag.
- The driver will take just one bagful per delivery to be recycled.
- The bags are recycled as part of our closed-loop process.
Don’t worry if you have a few other brands’ bags mixed in there. We won’t judge! If you’ve got more than just one single bagful, we’ll pick up another bagful to be recycled during each delivery to your home.
Have I been charged for my bags and will I get refunded?
We haven’t charged for the bags we gave you between 21st March – 21st September, so the refund for bags collected will be capped at the number of bags you were last charged for. In other words, if you had a delivery on 20th March and were charged for 12 bags, we’ll then refund you the cost of those 12 bags. After 22nd September, we’ll continue to cap the refund at the number of bags you received in each of your previous orders.
How will my refund be calculated?
The refund for bags collected will be capped at the number of bags you were charged for in the last order prior to 21st March. In other words, if you had a delivery on 20th March and were charged for 12 bags, we’ll then refund you the cost of those 12 bags. We haven’t charged you for any bags between 21st March and 21st September.
