Carrying on from the last Ocado thread that is about to fill up. Still haven’t been given a toblerone yet.

@Yellowbutterfly1 As far as I know, Reserved is still not working.

What used to happen for me was that after a delivery, it would generate the next order about 5 days before it was due, so there was only ever 1 order that was editable if that makes sense? But the dates delivery were due would be shown.

But there was a button you could click to generate it early, so under Reserved it would have the next three weeks dates, but next to them it would say something like “this order will be generated on x date” Then there was also a button you could click that said something like create now, so you could do it earlier if that makes sense?

The week before lockdown, I had a feeling we were heading for lockdown so generated orders for the next 3 weeks - they honoured them, but then wouldn’t create any new orders as they turned off Reserve when lockdown started.

Actually ignore me!

Just looked and they seem to have turned it back on again!

I’ve just cancelled my smartpass. I had an email informing me that it was being increased from £3.99 to £6.99 last week. After the utter shit show of trying to get an Ocado delivery in March, I feel I’d rather chance it elsewhere. Luckily I’m able to get deliveries with Sainsburys and Morrisons at the moment instead.

Sunny360 · 18/07/2020 18:39

Ive been an Ocado customer for about 10 years and spend around £150-£200 a week. Have been paying £5.99 a month for a long time now and about a month ago I was allowed to go from one delivery a week to one every 2 days. I’m finding this week that i can often see delivery slots even for the next day and all the days beyond (which is better than it seemed to be even before coronavirus!). Before I was booking them 3 weeks in advance to make sure i got them.

It’s also strange that i can book them for the next day and place an order but i still have to edit my future orders by 2 days before. I only just yesterday got given access to the app again.

I have had no free toblerone though!! I am looking forward to them converting to M and S. I’ve wanted to be able to shop M and S online for years. It is interesting reading the differences in payments and what everyone is offered...

What is going on with Ocado?
They've run out of granulated sugar now!
They haven't had any John Smith's bitter for weeks and haven't got any Guinness or any other bitter either.
I'm using Morrisons for my main delivery shop now. (Shielding)
They have the same ordering system (like Ocado, it comes from a warehouse) and it's much better than Ocado.
I recommend that everyone hacked off with Ocado to give Morrisons a try.

bruffin · 19/07/2020 10:24

Morrisons is delivered by ocado!

ElizabethMainwaring · 19/07/2020 10:31

@bruffin

Morrisons is delivered by ocado!
Really? Confused How come they have different stock, availability, vans etc?
Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/07/2020 10:38

I assume Ocado runs it for Morrisons, using the same software but on a separate website and out of stores or separate warehouses. Morrisons branded vans.

@bruffin
Thank you very much. Very interesting.

Saffronesque · 19/07/2020 12:23

@Bruffin

I had no idea, thanks. I have experience of limited Morrisons products via Amazon fresh, and, whilst they were perfectly fine & well priced, I would still miss my Waitrose duchy wholemilk & other organic & essential products too much to switch.

M&S organic wholemilk used to be unhomogenised like Waitrose. But then they used to have a policy of no GMO foods too, which vanished around the same time as they brought in other brands.
Though the two are likely unconnected. I liked going to M& S for top up high quality produce to supplement my weekly Ocado order, & popped into waitrose for other favourites, free newspaper. So probably split my weekly shop 40% each to Waitrose & Ocado, 20% to M&S. Always ended up buying from M&S as it was so expensive!

Even now, I am alternating between Waitrose & Ocado online shopping on a weekly basis; no M&S because shielding. I suspect that I will continue to do this in September, but that my waitrose shopping basket may be heavier with all my essential products, & that the m&s part of ocado basket will be getting some favourites & trying out some new products. They are promising loads!

I won't be going mad on convenience foods! I've got too used to cooking everything & only buy stuff for a night 'off' rather than going on a night out.

Well I just tried to sign up for Ocado Reserved but whenever it gets to the payment stage it says Opps something went wrong.

That’s Ocado all over!

FlamingoAndJohn · 19/07/2020 15:59

Ocado reserved isn’t running at the moment.

I did think though that I’m booking deliveries about 5 weeks in advance at the moment, does that mean that when I get to booking the 1st of September I’ll be able to add M&S?

GiantKitten · 19/07/2020 16:39

@Saffronesque no idea if this is any use to you, but Asda sell free range unhomogenised milk. Not organic like Duchy, but the cows are outside at least half the year.
(I prefer homogenised so I get Yeo Valley)

I thought 3 weeks in advance was the most you could book.

FlamingoAndJohn · 19/07/2020 21:27

My latest delivery is the 14th of August

FredAstaireAteMyHamSandwich · 19/07/2020 22:17

I have been using Iceland to buy all my veg frozen. Briilliant quality, and value. I’m never buying tinned sweet corn again after I discovered frozen at £1 for 1kg. Tastes 100 x better than canned.

No toblerone for us but only paying £1.99 a month for Anytime. We aren't high spenders either, only £80-100 a week.

FlamingoAndJohn · 19/07/2020 22:37

We discussed the Toblerone issue last night with friends. One out of the four households had received them. One.
We’ve all been shopping with them for a similar length of time.

Yellowbutterfly1 · 20/07/2020 08:01

Response from Ocado about Ocado Reserved.
We are rolling this out for a select few customers.

Yellowbutterfly1 · 20/07/2020 08:03

I’ve not been selected For that or a Toblerone.

bruffin · 20/07/2020 11:58

i can get reserved but its only midweek
