I haven't really had a fever since the beginning. I have felt hot though...

OP posts:
KatySun · 06/06/2020 19:14

I had a temperature today - I do still get one now and then, and last night it was chills.

Interested to hear that your GP said viral arthritis Moodgie - my lower legs and feet have been painful in the same kind of way as when I had growing pains when I was little, and a couple of days this week past, I noticed they were really tingly as well. You know the feeling when you have been standing on your feet too long? Except I had barely moved.

Keepdistance · 06/06/2020 19:46

I had been feeling better but like a few of you now have SOB and starting period...
Also i was running about chasing dc a few days ago then couldnt breath well and had a bit of phlegm.
Before getting ill i only had mild asthma.
I also get cold feet now.
Im concerned now what i'll be like over winter with other illnessess.
Period is progesterone dropping.
Is anyone on the progresterone only pill?

Keepdistance · 06/06/2020 19:52

Also could the period symptoms be partly increased temperature from period so maybe dehydration. I felt ok till i had a hot bath

AndsLee · 06/06/2020 19:56

I'm definitely effected by external temperatures...

godhelpusall · 06/06/2020 20:16

Some interesting speculation on slack about post viral Dysautonomia which is probably temporary. Does explain a lot of symptoms

Frankiefree · 06/06/2020 22:33

I’m not on the pill. I do get hot for a couple of days before my period so I wonder if that affects my symptoms in some way? I’m definitely dehydrated, but I do find that I’m having to eat more as it makes my general dizziness and lightheadedness a bit better.

Keepdistance · 06/06/2020 23:58

Dizziness could be ear problems?

Fishflakes · 07/06/2020 02:13

Oesophageal reflux here not heartburn. Keeping me awake. Veins on backs of legs more prominent too. Never noticed them actually protruding, always been flat before.
Tingly hot entire soles of feet, Itching quite often at night. Also peeling a bit on balls of feet/toe soles despite barely wearing socks or shoes for months now. Had that a while back on fingertips.

Fishflakes · 07/06/2020 02:14

Finger pads I should say, not finger tips.

Egghead68 · 07/06/2020 06:44

Morning! Day 78/79. Did my first outdoor exercise walk. Was a bit disheartened to be so breathless walking a route I last ran with ease less than 3 months ago but at least I got round. Reading about Derek Draper puts my problems into perspective.

Hope everyone has an OK day.

AndsLee · 07/06/2020 07:07

@Fishflakes
I have had skin peeling on my hands. Still got this rash/sunburn type thing on my hands too. Arthritis feeling in my hip, but had that for a while.

So what do we think folks? All this to me feels post viral?

OP posts:
AndsLee · 07/06/2020 07:34

Also, have a theory on earache/jaw ache... I think it might be from teeth grinding. What do you think?

OP posts:
Monty6 · 07/06/2020 07:50

@AndsLee - i am not sure. Both me and my husband have had odd days with soreness where the jaw meets on one side. I don’t think i grind my teeth. It often happened close in days to when i was getting headaches. My husband also had a few days early on with fairly bad pain near the parotid gland on the cheek.

AndsLee · 07/06/2020 08:04

I'm gonna see if I can find my old gumshield... See if it makes a difference. I have always been a teeth grinder, and am aware it's caused me weird problems in the past...

OP posts:
KatySun · 07/06/2020 08:17

That is interesting, as DD was complaining of pain at the edge of her jaw yesterday and the day before. She had it more mildly end March/early April but is still suffering post-viral symptoms, mainly fatigue.

I am so tired this morning that I don’t want to get up. I think the fatigue is post-viral but I am less convinced by the on-going chest and upper back pain - I felt like someone stabbed me between my shoulder blades last night.

I also woke up with my pulse absolutely racing - our cat is having nightly altercations with another cat (our cat from inside the window, other cat on the patio) so the noise woke me up, and I am not sure if that then set my pulse racing. But I was having palpitations before I fell asleep as well.

I am going to have to get up and do some stuff today, though. Let’s see how that goes.

All good wishes to everyone Flowers

AndsLee · 07/06/2020 09:42

Anyone else utterly starving?? Confused

OP posts:
MillStone · 07/06/2020 09:55

@KatySun

Interesting you mention that. Same here. 2 nights this past week my heart rate’s shoot up from about 50 to 90. It woke me up both times.

During the day my resting rate starts a bit high and also races when standing.

At about 3-4pm everything settles down, the pounding reduces to almost nothing and my resting rate stabilises. Everyday I see the same wedge shaped graph curve.

I’ve attached a nighttime graph. The first 2 peaks were toilet trips Blush so please ignore them... the 3rd small peak and 4th large peak were for no apparent reason and I awoke during the 4th very alarmed.

Lightsabre · 07/06/2020 10:03

My resting heart rate has been 85-95 throughout this but can go up to 120 on activity still. One day, about 10 days ago it went down to a normal 65 for a few hours and I felt so much better (I even took a photo of my oximeter I was so delighted!). Back to normal high now. GP not concerned unless it's 100 at rest consistently but it makes me feel jittery and shaky when it spikes.

Lightsabre · 07/06/2020 10:16

@Toptottie24, hope you are doing ok?

@MillStone, @Kitcat122 and @Moodgie - how are you all getting on? Has the shortness of breath improved?

My shortness of breath is still here, worsened yesterday by a very sore throat and windpipe. Not sure whether to go back on the Omeprazole or take the Doxycycline the GP gave me as a precautionary measure a few weeks ago. Totally dry throat - no mucus but a feeling of having a deep cough if that makes sense. Petrified of getting a real cough with everything else going on.

Will be making some enquiries this week about paying for a pulmonary/respiratory consultation as my GP seems to have given up on me getting any further tests altogether.

Toptottie24 · 07/06/2020 10:37

@Lightsabre
Hi hun,

I’m doing ok thx, still battling on with the lingering Covid symptoms!! 😡
Got my hospital appointment on Wednesday with the breast consultant.
Keeping everything crossed.
Hope you are doing ok.

AndsLee · 07/06/2020 10:44

@Lightsabre
Bloomin' GPs. Mine is the same. I have an appointment with a CPN to help me 'manage my symptoms'. I've had standard bloods and a D-dimer. Can't see me getting any more, despite the bulge on the right side of my abdomen. Having said that...this is day 8 of relatively mild symptoms...excuse me while I hide behind the sofa now for being brave enough to say that out loud. I'll wait here for a while to see if I can avoid the usual Covid cricket bat clobber. I am sooo hungry though.

OP posts:
Moodgie · 07/06/2020 10:52

@Lightsabre It is on and off still, but it hasn’t been as bad the last few days. I do get a raw/scratchy windpipe and the other day was worried I was getting a cough which I haven’t had at all - similar to you, it just feels dry I supposed. Breathing in ‘dust’ at times too I think. It’s all so up and down. Yesterday I was sooo fatigued. The nausea and toilet rush in the morning continues.

WotnoPasta · 07/06/2020 11:05

Day 16 for me. I was feeling fairly good yesterday and did some housework which was tiring but good.
Today I feel dreadful again, dizzy and exhausted, bad stomach, cramps.
It’s interesting reading this thread as the skin on my hands is also peeling off. @AndsLee I have been starving all the way through this, if it was normal flu I would have lost weight at least!

fedupofbed · 07/06/2020 11:08

@AndsLee ha I know what you mean about being too scared to voice optimism. Now I don't want to further jinx it but maybe the hunger is a sign of your body getting back to normal responses?? (Again hiding behind sofa on your behalf).

Just out of interest, how many people in real life do you know in our situation? Just wondering, as from the Covid tracker app it looks far more common, ie 1 in 10. I barely know anyone who's actually had Covid at all, but have recently been put in touch with 2 friends of friends with long term effects. This is why this thread has been such a huge support for me.
