Hope work becomes less manic Trev. Sounds like you deffo needed that long sleep.

I'm bilingual too not that it's useful in any way.Grin

Willow maybe email the school or pastoral care end enquire about that teacher's email address?

Willow2017 · 19/06/2020 08:29

I did mention it to her on the phone Princess so she was going to speak to him.

GnomeDePlume · 19/06/2020 08:41

Trevsadick are you feeling better for the sleep? I hope so. Only today to go then we hit the weekend.

So The PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock Academy

It looks like we can offer a full curriculum. Sorry, Willow it looks like you will be teaching all the humanities.

All we need to do now is decide where to put the bike sheds!

Willow2017 · 19/06/2020 09:12

Ok i dont have room for you all I will have to rent somewhere😄
Will get the tea and biccies in.

Trevsadick · 19/06/2020 09:19

Ok so none of my skills are relevant.

I can teach him kick boxing and self defense? Probably not needed for his education but....still useful.

Yeah I feel loads better for the sleep. Can wait until today is over. Weekend!!!

Willow2017 · 19/06/2020 10:03

Ok you are on Trev he used to do martial arts so would enjoy that.

110APiccadilly · 19/06/2020 10:49

I'd very happily send my kid to a school where self defence was taught! Maybe as part of PE?

GnomeDePlume · 19/06/2020 10:54

Do we need a school uniform? I'm on the fence about this - either we go no school uniform or alternatively we opt for something totally impractical for the school day - Elizabethan court dress

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 19/06/2020 12:34

That's a bit of a mouthful Gnome Bananas Academy would work. Then they can say they graduated BA with honours.

Kick boxing and self defence should deffo be on the curriculum. Would love that for DD. She did MA for a bit and the sensei said she was really good but she hated the idea of "performing" for a belt or competing so she lost interest.

How's this for uniform?Grin

You guys need to read the Ozark thread. Grin

OP posts:
Willow2017 · 19/06/2020 15:36

Well seeing as my ds does most of his school work in bed in his pjs that could be the uniform😄

GnomeDePlume · 19/06/2020 16:09

Love the uniform idea. It could be used to set school houses as well. We will need strict rules on wearing the correct fruit themed clothing. Of course we will ensure that subsequent children are put in different houses. Detention for any student coming in looking like a fruit salad.

I thought that academies were supposed to have long winded names which then never got used?

I looked at the Ozark thread and realised I didnt understand a syllable so backed away quite quickly!

Trevsadick · 19/06/2020 16:10

The Ozark thread is insane. But at least ita not covid related insanity. That bit makes nice change Grin

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 19/06/2020 16:21

Ahhh i forgot about that. Silly me trying to find the easy sensible solution.Grin

How about the Partnership of Learning and Educating Bananas?

PLEB for short.

Someone needs to tell certain bigshots that a certain academy doesn't mean something smart/selective/ancient , but rather the word for market. That someone will never be me though.Grin

I told you people are fucking bonkers about 6 threads ago. 😂😂😂

OP posts:
Trevsadick · 19/06/2020 18:32

Bonkers is the word.

Have you seen that poster thata been around a good few years.

She doesn't let unexpected visitors in her house. If people pop round she makes them sit outside.

She once saw her neighbour struggling walking with her shopping as she drove passed. So she stopped and offered to help. But was upset the neighbour had assumed she was giving her a lift. She wasn't she was only offering to transport the neighbour. The neighbours reaction was wtf? So the poster went into her garden, later that day, and stole a lavender plant that she had given her.

There's been quite a few threads based of her bizarre behaviour and I am not convinced she is a troll.

Trevsadick · 19/06/2020 18:33

she was only offering to transport the shopping. Blush

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 19/06/2020 18:51

Oh I never got the refusal to answer the door/phone or hiding behind the sofa to make sure that no one thinks you're home. But then again I had this conversation with a door charity chugger.

Him: I'm sure, like all people you care about blind /deaf children.
Me: at this moment actually I don't bye!
Slam door.
In my defence i had stuff deep frying on the hob.

Or my other favourite.

Him: Hi miss bla bla bla. I thought you look friendly and approachable.

Me: what? Why?

Evening all, I've been floored by a migraine AGAIN. This is getting daft. Much better now but blimey I think I need a head transplant! GP gave me soluble codeine but it knocks me out which is no good when I'm on my own with a 9yo.

Trev hope you're feeling better after your long sleep! Yay for the weekend. I think it's going to be sunny?? Hope so!

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 19/06/2020 20:37

Oh Crow that is crap. I take it you've managed to get in touch with your GP then?

OP posts:
CrowCat · 19/06/2020 21:06

Princess I called them again this morning and got a callback around lunchtime. I've asked to be referred back to my neurologist but not a clue when that will happen! GP offered me soluble codeine and that was that.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 19/06/2020 22:02

Crow that sounds awful. I hope you get an appt soon. I have some proper painkillers, but with my luck I'd prolly end up arrested for drug dealing.Grin

Just hopping on to say solstice blessings to all my groovy chicks. It's a crazy night of watching Stonehenge live for your resident witchy woman.

And my migraine hasn't come back - yet! Yay! I might actually be able to celebrate summer solstice with a wee drinky 😁

Willow2017 · 20/06/2020 20:31

Have a great solstice Crowcat. That sounds good where/how do you watch it? TV is rubbish on Sat and a bit of positivity and good vibes never goes amiss.😊

CrowCat · 20/06/2020 22:06

Willow I'm watching it on fb, but I think it's streaming on YouTube too - English heritage/Stonehenge livestream 2020
