Go Crow! Go Crow! Imagine pompoms and somersaults and shit.

From what you've said about him so far it's not even that he wants you, he just wants you to want him.

He's shown his true colours more than once, he's shown where his priorities lie-his ego, and more importantly you've raised enough kids, and still have DD2 you don't need a temper tantruming, attention seeking, caught my willy in the zip man child.

Thanks princesses I'm having a sneaky 'yay go me!' takeaway.

Willow2017 · 16/06/2020 22:12

Good for you Crow the worst thing you can do is ignore him , poor wee attention seeking soul.
Everything you said is true. Stay strong you dont need that dipshit in your life.

GnomeDePlume · 17/06/2020 05:33

Good for you Crow!

By the way, what takeaway did you go for? Today was due to be DD2's wedding day and we are having a commiseratory takeaway tonight to mark the event and DD2 cant decide what she wants so could do with some inspiration.

CrowCat · 17/06/2020 10:45

Morning all, thanks for the support my lovelies, it's much appreciated. Gnome it must be a tough day for your DD2, have they been able to rebook yet? I had Chinese, a meal deal for 2 so there's some left for today 😆

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 17/06/2020 15:42

Oh Gnome she must be gutted. Hope she has a good day today. Has she rescheduled yet?

DD2 is okay, a bit sad but coping. Took the dog for a picnic which they both enjoyed. Managed to get home 30 minutes before the biblical floods started.

They were planning to marry in uni town but it was one of the hard hit places and apparently have a huge backlog of deaths to register (brings it home a bit).

The wedding they had planned was tiny so rebooking should be straightforward once restrictions get lifted.

We went for Chinese in the end, tried out a new takeaway and were very impressed. We have a huge quantity leftover which will make today's lunches and dinners.

What's the weather like with everyone else? It hasnt stopped raining here. DH is starting to look at his wood supplies mumbling something about an ark!

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 18/06/2020 07:50

It's normal to be sad, but at least it sounds pretty easy to reorganise when things are better.
It hasn't stopped raining here either, poor OH will be out working in it.

OP posts:
Willow2017 · 18/06/2020 09:29

Stopped raining here and not pea soup anymore but misty last pm.
Hope your dd can rebook soon Gnome.
Off for blood test hope they dont hit a nerve again! Then murdering countless millions at the post office. Had a bloody meltdown last night. Another pile of crap decended on me yesterday and it tipped me over the edge I think. Get the fecking schools open ffs! My ds is having nightmares and not sleeping over the mess that is online schooling. I am not a happy bunny. Had a good ol cry and pity party in bed.
Onwards and upwards today (can't go any freaking lower anyway)
Working later till late pm oh joy☹

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 18/06/2020 10:43

On no Willow what happened? Hope DD is feeling better soon. How old is she? Can she stuff the school work and do her own thing if better suited?

Princess
Ds changed teams as they started new term and they were told their assignments would be on view on iPad and stuff not for them would be in "hidden files". Except nobody told some teachers and assignments were put in there! So he missed a load of stuff. Now he has to catch up plus do weekly stuff. He is beyond stressed as he gets anxious about stuff. Its all sciency stuff so i am no help at all. He isnt sleeping till small hours so a nightmare to get up and on with school stuff now. He was doing well at school and i am thoroughly pissed off this will put him off for life.he is 15 and this is his exam year. Plus a power point he has tried to send twice but teachers email keeps coming up "email not recognised" and there have been other problems with iPad. He needs it for his nat 4. I have ordered printer ink and i will print the whole damm thing up and take it to school if i have to!
Grrrr.

CrowCat · 18/06/2020 11:28

Rain here. Pretty much constant. Meh. I was hoping to go on a murdering spree to pick up the last bits for DD1 and DD2s birthdays next week. Hm but then again everyone might stay at home and town might be queue-free. Hmm 🧐

110APiccadilly · 18/06/2020 12:49

Torrential rain here. At least I'm not where the floods are further south though. Work computer died on me suddenly so an unexpected day off - possibly more than one, depending how quickly they can get the replacement out to me. Annoying but could be worse - had it died this time yesterday it would have been a total nightmare due to deadlines.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 18/06/2020 16:16

Willow that does sound like a nightmare. Sorry work has been manic.

Have you talked to the school? A reasonable ,sensible teacher will say just do what you can an don't stress to this point, hopefully with enough conviction to reassure DS.

What's the sciency stuff? I'm not smart enough for secondary, but might be able to help.

What's the actual issue with the email? Is it wrong? Just not sending to it? Does the teacher receive emails from you?

Willow I too can help with science stuff. I have a biochemist and a chemical physicist in the house who are both good at explaining or guiding to good resources. If it is more mechanical or electrical I have the people to help with that as well (not an artist or humanities person amongst us)

If there are questions which can be sent I am sure that my house full of science nerds (their description) could help!

110APiccadilly · 18/06/2020 20:14

I might be able to help with science stuff, depending what it is. I'm good at maths and physics. Can't do chemistry or biology to save my life. Happy to help if I can.

110APiccadilly · 18/06/2020 20:18

(I do know maths is not a science, by the way.)

I have a post-grad in a mathematical branch of physics/engineering though!

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 18/06/2020 20:22

Maybe we should start our own school.Grin

OP posts:
GnomeDePlume · 18/06/2020 23:11

Princess I would worry that our curriculum might be a little limited: science and maths in all its wonderful forms but our humanities courses may be limited to 'well, let's take a look at Mumsnet'

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 18/06/2020 23:15

I can do some languages?
And I know a lot(actually less and less as I'm forgetting stuff)of random facts , about various things, that don't help in any way.Grin

Plus I've already proven my artistic side with the cocksock, the corona comic and the middle finger poster!

Come on Gnome, have some faith! We can do this.Grin

Willow2017 · 18/06/2020 23:40

Thanks everyone. You are all stars.

Ds2 is pretty good on his own with the chemistry and physics if he gets the damm assignments in the right place! Last chemistry assignment he got full marks.

Its the email that's not working for his old teacher, he isnt doing his subject now. i haven't tried it as never had to email a teacher except pastoral care before! He has emailed both teachers who put the stuff in the wrong place to.tell them he will get on it now and try to catch up.

He needs to keep up with stuff to get his nat 4s this year and some of the work is nat5 so they really need support as its more advanced stuff. He is pretty much screwed on his college course as obviously wont get there till August and even then who knows?
I will ask ds if he needs any extra resources thank you.
Work ridiculous. Left on my own with someone who started a week ago doing something i haven't done myself before! We just cleaned (and cleaned and cleaned) and thankfully didn't have to do it. They really need to step up and sort this out.

Apparently I have to phone hospital re bloods done this morning...nothing to worry about just a catch up...fingers crossed.

Willow2017 · 18/06/2020 23:46

(not an artist or humanities person amongst us)
I.am no artist thats for sure! But i.did do a diploma in European Humanities with O.U. years ago and loved it. Had to give up on degree due to health probs. Must get my act together and get back to it.

Trevsadick · 19/06/2020 06:23

Morning all. I have been MIA for a while. Really busy week at work.

I slept from 7pm to 6am last night. Absolutely exhausted.

I can offer some limited support for ds willow........biology (only certain aspects) and Microsoft Office and statistics analysis....thats about it 🤣🤣🤣

110APiccadilly · 19/06/2020 07:49

not an artist or humanities person amongst us

I'm bilingual. Does that count? (Admittedly not in a language for which there's much demand outside of Wales and a small patch of South America!)

Willow2017 · 19/06/2020 08:19

Trevsadick thanks but he isnt doing biology or computing😄 Hope work is easier today that's a long sleep you must have been knackered!
110APiccadilly 🤣 well its more than I am, but not really needed in this instance!!
