Oh poor you, have a comfortable night 💐@toothfairy73.

mumto3little · 30/04/2020 20:10

Hi all, I want to be positive.

Day 46. I had chest tightness, itchy eyes, fever, breathless, cough, chest pain etc. I had very good one week but then, symptoms returned and now I have tight throat and tight chest. I cried alone in my bedroom when symptoms returned. My GP thinks that my coronavirus infection might had been over but possibly I caught bacteria infection because my body is weaken. I take steroid tablets and antibiotics and feel it helps and I have no chest tightness today!

But just got a call from a friend and she warns me that it is still possible that I fall into serious condition, and other very very negative article about covid 19. I had better day but now depressed a lot. I want to be positive but I don't know how... I am in tears now.

godhelpusall · 30/04/2020 20:24

@mumto3little what evidence does your friend have? I think it was very unhelpful of your friend to tell you that and my understanding is that it's not true. By this stage you have antibodies which will prevent you from getting severe breathing problems etc.

stayathomegardener · 30/04/2020 20:29

@mumto3little I would also dispute that information and trust me if it's out there I've likely read it and would be panicking. More than normal.

Doesn't sound like a good friend to me.

SimpleKindofLife · 30/04/2020 20:32

That's really scary @CanIdoItLater Sad

@emoojoo I have had many days like that I am currently day 53/54

Meercatmama · 30/04/2020 20:45

@mumto3little
I am on day 46 and I had a bad yesterday and feel better today. This week I have spoken to my GP explained my symptoms and was told I was post viral. I was tearful and sad he spoke to me and reassured me that I was through the worst and it will get better slowly. He also gave me some antidepressants and said it was a distressing time for all especially if you have had covid and better to admit and get help. At no time did he did he say I was in danger just it can take some a long time to recover.

To reassure you more Husband on Day 32 spoke to his GP as he has underlying health problems and she was just as reassuring to him and also said for some it takes a long time to recover.
Your friend has not been very helpful and I would rather take the opinion of medical professionals and the people on this thread who are with you on the journey. It may be longer than we want but we will get there just at our own pace. Take heart and if you think you need help contact your doctor there is no shame. My doctor said anxiety will only make your symptoms worse and hinder recovery.

canadacalling · 30/04/2020 21:03

Hello group, just had this group warmly recommended by s.o. on a FB group I'm in. Have been battling what may (?) be covid 19, since beginning of March. Not tested. Worst symptom has been chest pains, various types. Looking forward to reading about your experiences and approaches.

Crayfishforyou · 30/04/2020 21:25

Hello @canadacalling welcome to the thread. All support and ears for fears offered here. It's not a club you want to join but it will provide some solace.

I've had a really good day 30. Chest pain diminished today, pulse hasn't been scary. I think inflammation has caused a lot of my pain. I was worried whether I was starting something to do with my heart but I think its swelling internally.
I'm going to start ibuprofen I think for when it starts again. I had some last week and it did help.
My blood pressure has also gone back down to normal today.
Fatigue is beginning to hit, I'm wondering whether I'm going post viral. I hope so.

Dd has complained of her tummy hurting, she said it didn't hurt when she lay down, and she went to sleep happily enough. Last week she was going to sleep on me on the sofa downstairs.
She's a better colour today, even though her hands have felt cold.
I told her one more day finished is one more day nearer to getting better.
I am going to hold on to that thought for when it all shoots to shit in a few days.
I've taken my CBD, I really feel mellow after about 15 minutes of having it, and nytols. I'm going to attempt sleep propped up on four pillows.
Good night everyone, I hope you all have good ones.

Hi all, sorry I haven’t been around lately, so not really caught up with everyone’s news.

I’m on day 46 and on my second week of feeling okay. The big news this week is that I have stopped coughing! Hooray. I’m not feeling so tired in the evenings either, although I am still make sure I’m don’t overdo it.

pinkoneblueone · 30/04/2020 21:41

@notangelinajolie. I am from the first lungs thread too but i have mainly been a lurker until recently I got sick on the 8th of March and have just had the most horrific few days. I have had chest pain (around the heart) sore and achey arms that it hurt to lift, pain mostly in my left arm, shoulder neck, ear, down my sides of my rib cage, 0 energy, brain fog, back pain, very emotional and teary, breathlessness the lot lasting 3 days its been awful the pain is still lingering but its honestly the worst I have felt (days roughly 53/54). I am taking ibuprofen, paracetamol, gavisgon, omeprazole, Vit C (1000mg) Vit D3, Iron tablets and have just been in the last couple of days diagnosed as B12 deficient and have my 1st injections tomorrow. I wanted you to know that you are not alone and I am suffering too. I hope that this reassures you that It will get better in a few days, sadly my hubby is 3 days behind me in symptoms and having the same trouble. (I'm also asthmatic and potentially celiac (tested today for that)- forgot to add that).

I hope you start to feel better soon.

Lougle · 30/04/2020 21:44

Can I check how it started for all of you? DD3 (11) complained of having a 'hot throat' just before 6 PM tonight. Then she had mildly achy legs and didn't want dinner. She had paracetamol at 18.10, then I took her temperature (I'd been to the shops before this, so DH gave her paracetamol) at about 18.25 - 38.6. At 19.10 (1 hour post paracetamol) her temperature was 39.2.

It sounds vaguely familiar, but she has no cough.

Standrewsschool · 30/04/2020 21:46

I had a temperature (40) and headache. Was mildly achey. Had a slight cough, which actually went after the temperature came.

pinkoneblueone · 30/04/2020 21:51

@godhelpusall I've also had pain in the back of my left leg, can't feel anything and its intermittent, I think its another of the virus's wonderful treats :(

Tangledyarn · 30/04/2020 22:00

@mumto3little I think it would be very unusual and really unlikely that you would become seriously unwell at this stage. I'm sure you are well into recovery, although I know it doesnt always feel like that x

Moodgie · 30/04/2020 22:04

@Tangledyarn How are you today? How’s the throat? Mine has been better today but instead I feel like my breathing is not 100%. Anyone else’s breathing not 100% in day 50 odd?

Tangledyarn · 30/04/2020 22:11

@moodgie Its been a bit better today actually! Will see what tomorrow brings! My breathing is still not great, am still quite breathless if I do much (have not tried anything more than a walk to the end of the road) am quite wheezy and my chest feels very heavy and tight on the left side still..

Moodgie · 30/04/2020 22:13

@Tangledyarn Glad you’re better.
My breathing doesn’t seem to be triggered by anything. It just happens when I’m sitting.

Tangledyarn · 30/04/2020 22:34

@moodgie My breathlessness is mostly triggered my moving around although I do get breathless after eating too, but the chest feelings and wheezyness are just constant (am asthmatic but not normally like this) although seem to have days when they are worse than others. Has seemed particularly bad today, but the fatigue has also been really bad and the symptoms seem to tie into each other sometimes I think.

Egghead68 · 30/04/2020 22:50

@mamato3little I am sitting here crying too because I think I will never get better. To think only last Friday I couldn’t stop smiling because I felt so well.

Being rational, we will both improve. We will be better than we are today. Keep the faith FlowersWineCakeGin

Moodgie · 30/04/2020 23:04

@Egghead68 Got to be positive, I know what you’re feeling. In the same please as you. We have to positive, there are always stories about people recovering from things through their positive state of mind (or am I making this up?)

mumto3little · 30/04/2020 23:17

Thank you very much for your warm advise. Each one cheers me up.

The friend says she warns me because she worries me. But her advise is always negative and I feel much worse after I talk with her. She says I should be very careful all the time because who knows when I fall into critical condition although I want to be relaxed for recovery.

But now I feel better. I do not have any close friends who had covid 19, but I am glad to find here. I would love to reply all of you tomorrow. Hopefully we can have good sleep tonightThanksThanksThanks

onlinelinda · 30/04/2020 23:29

@egghead68 I had my absolute worst times ever I felt I'd finally got better but hadn't. I'm well now, 14 days of being well now with a 28 hour interlude a week ago, at week 6.

You really really will get better soon. Don't take too much exercise, but take a little when you can.

Moodgie · 30/04/2020 23:40

@onelinda Great to hear this! What did your interlude involve?
