Do you think we’ll be able to see close family soon?

I don’t care about anything else! I just want to see my family. I know probably everyone wants this but I’m really hoping when they review restrictions 7th May they’ll look at us possibly being able to see close family. What do you think?

I know nobody knows for definite and everyone is probably sick and tired of seeing threads like this but just a glimmer of hope and positivity right now I need it.

Where is your evidence for that?

If you are not going to see it through there was no point starting

We knew at the start that China took nearly 3 months to unlock

We knew at the start that the shielding advice was for 3 months

But if we are not bothering properly it will go on for a lot longer OR you have a broken NHS and a huge death rate from both virus and all the other stuff the NHd won't be able to treat

Next door each side of me are seeing family. One side is having daily visits from DD and her DH and 4 young kids.
I try not to get wound up about it.

Italy are allowing family visits from May 4th with precautions - not sure what those are.

Patrick Vallance has always said with all viruses you can get it again BUT it would be far milder and a very low chance - Under 1%. Apparently that is normal with viruses and based on sars evidence. So please don’t panic about that.
