@Tangledyarn funny you mention the odd mark I checked my throat after seeing it suggested on here and noticed a bloody line on my throat.

everythingisginandroses · 28/04/2020 23:21

Good for you, @TheWooisStrong! Flowers Six weeks on from first symptoms today, I think I am most of the way there. I was a bit fed up today because I've been feeling a weird lung-tingling sensation, but maybe I am feeling my body heal, as @onlinelinda suggested earlier (god, I hope so!) Still feel tired and a bit warm at times, like my thermostat is malfunctioning, as other posters have said. Having said that, I kissed DH earlier and asked him "Am I warm?" for the 57,814th time since St Patrick's Day. DH: "No, you're not". He then pointed out that although getting over a virus is tiring, other stuff will tire us out too, like going to bed too late and being woken in the night by DS with a sore foot... Hmm Grin

Survey done thank you for creating it I created a petition a while ago that isn't doing too well if anyone would like to sign it? www.change.org/p/rt-hon-matt-hancock-mp-gov-to-update-the-symptoms-of-clovid-19-on-all-guidance-to-save-lives/dashboard

NewSummerNewMe · 28/04/2020 23:24

Day 43, I still haven't had one normal.day, chest worse these past 3 days.

Hospital & Community Therapist, with a DC at primary School.

Have filled in survey.

Moodgie · 28/04/2020 23:27

Signed.

pinkoneblueone · 28/04/2020 23:34

Thank you

Gunner30 · 28/04/2020 23:45

@TheWooisStrong glad you're feeling better.

@tangledyarn interesting about your sore throat. Mines been about 4.5 weeks and doesn't seem to be improving. Got a chest x-ray and bloods to see if they can identify anything from those.

Day 45 for I'm feeling pretty good except for the throat, although my breathing seems to get worse in the evenings for the last few nights. GP prescribed ppi medication yesterday for GERD, but did say it would take a while to have any effect, so I'll let you all know how that goes.

Gunner30 · 28/04/2020 23:47

@pinkoneblueone I can't seem to sign the petition, but think I'm locked out. I'll try again tomorrow 👍

LetsBeSensible · 28/04/2020 23:48

@pinkoneblueone I signed the petition
@Moominmamma33 I completed the survey

Well done to you both. Tomorrow is my 6 week anniversary of symptoms. I went out to the chemist today for thrush treatment. It wasn’t easy but I did it and wasn’t too floored afterwards.

I’ve accepted that I might be unwell until June. My sleep is messed up, but I live alone, have no job so really, what is the problem if I’m awake half the night. I will just slowly try to adjust it over a week or two.

I was fat before all of this and now I’m very fat indeed

LetsBeSensible · 29/04/2020 00:39

Just found another story here

Dorual · 29/04/2020 01:00

Scary he needed oxygen after a month.

I'm awake with tingling/ burning/ cold lung pain in 3 different areas. Fun.

pinkoneblueone · 29/04/2020 01:11

Reading that gave me mild shakes as I have been having a very bad day (yesterday) I have felt very unwell day 51/52 I had an asthma attack a week ago and it has set me right back. I have been so unwell with pain where my heart is muscular aches from arms through chest and back, pain and weakness. Currently feeling nauseous. I spoke to my doctor who suggested I have a blood test and X-ray. I had the blood test but I have to wait to be booked in for the X-ray which may be next week. My pain round my heart got worse so I have had to visit a&e they did my obs and ecg with where normal, checked my blood results from today on my records and they said asked me about my thyroid had I had any issues? Which I don't as far as I know and said my doctor would be in touch about my bloods.
This causes me to think I have a thyroid issue but non emergency for the hospital to deal with. So they sent me home. My whole household have been sick my husband is experiencing some chest pain and his gout has flared up and my son is experiencing involuntary muscle shakes, my daughter claims to be fine had has done the whole but has had a cough and I notice she looks pale from time to time.

I have had enough today I have felt so ill and so low I haven't been able to do much. The pain around my heart really concerns me and I feel as though I have been fobbed off as it is a sore raw pain and I have had pins and needles in my left arm and pain in my shoulder. Mild pain in the back of my left leg too. My left arm is still sore and uncomfortable though I managed to knock it the other day and I have a bruise on my shoulder area and bruises from my blood test are coming up.

I have had two sets of antibiotics and am in fact wondering if it has delayed my recovery at this point as I am on week 7 and I read someone earlier always experiencing the exact same on weeks 4/5.

I am really feeling so so fed up and low today. I can't wait until I feel more normal again what ever that may be.

pinkoneblueone · 29/04/2020 01:11

@Dorual I thought the same :(

baroqueandblue · 29/04/2020 01:26

Thank you so much @Moominmamma33, I've done the survey and thought it was beautifully presented and well thought out :)

I'm not in education but have my niece (7) and nephew (6) for 2 hours every weekday morning before walking them to school. Their mum is a full-time primary teacher and dad works in a restaurant in central London. My closeness to them may be how I caught it, but like teachers (and I've worked in education in the past) I get everything going anyway and was bound to catch it from someone at some point!

I'm day 44/65 - went back through some text messages yesterday and was able to pinpoint when the sore throat and virally symptoms started, but the agonising pain and lung stuff hit me just under 3 weeks later. So, over 2 months for me and still struggling. Today I took my recycling down to the bins and walked a few yards up the hill to post my mum's birthday card. When I got in I was exhausted. Yesterday I got washed and dressed and had everything together to go out for some groceries, but then collapsed in a heap before I could get over the doorstep. Nightmare. Course of doxycycline after being seen in A&E last Monday did nothing. Lungs feel better as of this afternoon but have been really burny again the last few days. Back and rib pain still there, shortness of breath and unsatisfying deep breaths, dry cough and a bit of wheezing. Legs very cold on and off and a bit sore. Thoroughly fed up. But it has to end at some point, right?

Tangledyarn · 29/04/2020 02:50

@pinkoneblueone Yeah the throat thing is weird!
The left side of my chest feels worse today than it has for a while, very heavy and restricted and have been quite wheezy and more breathless today (yesterday!) I havent done anything I can think to make it worse, so hoping it's just part of the natural up and down of this stupidly long recovery. I feel like I can cope with it much better than the fatigue which is totally debilitating.

baroqueandblue · 29/04/2020 03:05

Don't remember seeing this mentioned on the threads, but has anyone had the sensation of being horribly icy cold in their body with this? I've had it a couple of times recently but tonight has been the worst. It was mostly in my legs before but is in my arms and shoulders too tonight. I can't sleep either Sad Have made a hot water bottle and put a blanket over my duvet but just can't get warm. I'm not shivering though. Bit worried that lack of exercise might've affected my circulation.

KatySun · 29/04/2020 07:22

pinkoneblueone the doctor I saw the other night said that for cardiac issues the pain would be worse after exertion. With the covid chest pain, I have it even lying in bed or sitting on the sofa. Although I do notice it is worse after I do too much, it does not ease off when I rest, it just continues. It is around my heart/centre of chest, so cardiac issues were my main concern. I also have stabby pains at random around my chest and upper back.

SimpleKindofLife · 29/04/2020 07:49

@pinkoneblueone I have stabbing pains all around my heart and heart palpitations, which is why I went to A&E on Sunday but my ECG was fine.

My chest felt like it was swirling and churning last night?! All bubbling and moving about. Made me feel quite nauseous. I think I prefer the normal pain! My heart was hammering away too. Sad

What position is everyone sleeping in? Sleeping on my front makes my heart go crazy and sleeping on my side makes my chest go crazy! Too scared to sleep on my back so was sitting propped up on pillows all night. (In between heart palpitations and chest episodes!) Confused

SimpleKindofLife · 29/04/2020 07:50

@baroqueandblue I've had the icy feeling all across my back before but more recently in my lungs. Hot drinks helped.

Meercatmama · 29/04/2020 07:59

Well that was funny night. On and off sleep which was more like dozing than deep sleep. Chest one side feels heavy and like my breath is not getting to it but not really bad just weird. Took some Gaviscon at about 3pm and that seemed to help and I slept a bit. Cough still there and feel a bit bloated. I have not had the bloated feeling before. Just feel tired and a bit heavy possibly from the disturbed sleep. Don't feel really ill just a bit strange.

Moodgie · 29/04/2020 08:34

Still in bed, sore throat still there and here comes the morning nausea. Just waiting for the runny tummy to follow. I just want to wake up feeling normal.

mumlurker · 29/04/2020 09:01

Sigh. About a month into this, I made a sort of mental pact with myself to accept that it might take two months from first symptoms to feel back to normal and not to stress about it. That helped me get through a rough patch in weeks four and five. Now coming near the end of week seven - think I might have to revise this up to three months - had a bit of a dip in the last few days and still can barely imagine walking about outside, let alone going back to anything like my normal activity levels.

Moodgie · 29/04/2020 09:20

@mumlurker Same here. Week 8 here and thought by the end of week 8 it would all be back to normal. Now I don’t know what to think.

I am in week 3 day 23 to be precise. Had 2 really good days & bearable nights - a bit short of breath but managed to sleep. Feel like i have gone backwards after last night- large portion of the night I couldn’t sleep & sob & burning lungs & slight fever with me. I thought it was actually on its way out yesterday i felt quite normal again & was even pottering around the house... haven’t been able to do that for a while. Its so depressing
