Do we think sunshine and vitamin d is helpful? I'm in bed at the moment but weighing up whether or not a trip outside ( just to sit for ten mins in the sun) is a good idea or whether just to rest. Can't believe going outside to sit has become such a big adventure and so exhausting but there you go

Sambucus · 12/04/2020 16:19

@Wrybread, @fedupofbed yes me, I’m still here with the temperature. Same pattern... up every afternoon despite 2 lots of different antibiotics and regular paracetamol. Day 26. Ugh. Thought I was starting to feel a bit better but palpitations again today. Additional symptoms in the last few days have been rib pain when I cough and move and twitchy muscles. Wish we were all better!

mumto3littles · 12/04/2020 16:47

Day 25 here. I had good three days but now went back to bed because of breathlessness. I hope I will not go to 30+ but who knows. How stressful it is!

longshot · 12/04/2020 16:55

@mumlurker yes to sunshine. I have just been for a 10 min stroll. I’ve had a bad day today but mentally it’s helped and to smell the flowers etc was amazing. I came home feeling ok, then tidied for 5 mins and my daughter came in crying and shouting and that has absolutely floored me again!! It’s so weird. But I will remember I managed a stroll and try again tomorrow! My lungs felt relatively good outside, the air helped. I’ve been in and out of the garden all week but it helped to be ‘moving’!

mumlurker · 12/04/2020 16:57

@longshot

Decided yes to sunshine I went and sat outside for 20 mins. Has cheered me up a lot. I'm finding it difficult to balance things that are good for mental health - phonecalls, going for a short walk on good days - with enforced rest. The smallest thing seems to land me back in bed. Hope you're having a better day!

Egghead68 · 12/04/2020 17:03

I’m on the shielding programme and not allowed of my flat but it is oh so tempting to go and sit in the communal gardens for 5 minutes, given I’ve got COVID-19 anyhow (and am likely no longer infectious). I’ll try to be good and resist although it’s hard to see the point.

fedupofbed · 12/04/2020 17:06

Aw @mumlurker I know, how life has changed. I'm sure 10 minutes of sunshine would be good for the body and soul, as long as you're listening to your body and definitely feel up to it. Do you tend to relapse a lot though, and if so is there any pattern to it?

fedupofbed · 12/04/2020 17:11

@mumlurker I posted too late, glad you enjoyed your sunshine!

mumlurker · 12/04/2020 17:13

I think there's been a few times where I've gone for a 20 minute walk and then had a relapse the next day, so long walks are definitely banned for the moment!

@Egghead68 I don't have my own garden and have been avoiding the communal one most of the time as there's always other people there, but I have worked out where the sun falls at different times of day (the joys of indoor life) and have been choosing an open window to sit at when I can't get out. I think i've turned completely translucent.

WorriesomeDad · 12/04/2020 17:54

@Kitcat122 sounds exactly the same as me, I feel stranded.

user34254356 · 12/04/2020 17:55

@kevintheorangecarrot i am feverish again too with 36.5. I hope it doesn't go up overnight but I will definitely be on the phone with the GP tomorrow if i don't deteriorate overnight. Cant blv on day 26 we are still going through this.

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 18:20

Hi all I have been watching for weeks but couldn't log in for some reason. After much faffing and back and forth to MN I am on! I have been experiencing this horror for over 30 days, 'mild' symptoms but it's never ending. So nice to talk to you all at last. You have been keeping me sane(ish)...

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 18:23

I have had a few good days but after a walk and a sit in the cold I came back feeling virusy again 😠

TheDrsWife46 · 12/04/2020 18:36

@mumlurker I wouldnt have been able yo manage without sitting outside. This week ive pretty much sat in a sun lounger to get as much vitamin d and fresh air as I could. Glad you got some fresh air too x

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 19:05

Mumlurker how many days are you again? I have a feeling you are the same as me- about 32?

mumlurker · 12/04/2020 19:11

@TheDrsWife46

I know, I realised today I'd only been outside for a few hours max over the last month. Would have been unthinkable a month ago! Hope you're feeling a bit better today x

@godhelpusall

I'm on day 30, but was feeling ill a few days before I took to my bed, so probably about where you are. Do you feel like you're improving at all?

I've been less bed ridden today (i.e. less fatigue/nausea/dizziness) but more breathless, blocked dry sinus pressure and horrible gastro pains. Lungs also feel sore/tight again. So every time one thing eases off another thing pops up!

TheDrsWife46 · 12/04/2020 19:20

@mumlurker very tight chest and the cough today but mostly very very tired. A better day 👍🏻

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 19:23

@Thedrswife I was doing much better, almost felt myself again but this afternoon I walked 2 miles and it was cold here. I got back and felt lousy again. I've even started sneezing again. I pray I'm not about to get a second round. My mental health has been precarious, particularly because my whole family have had it over the last 4 weeks. 😢

Bornlazy · 12/04/2020 19:26

So after I came on here feeling really pissed off this morning I perked up a little bit and as it was such a nice day I decided that I would try a walk to see how I felt. I didn’t go too far but I managed it ok, in fact I felt better today than I did yesterday. I still have the pain in my lung but I don’t have that heavy feeling of sickness (I’m sure you’re all familiar with that feeling) that I had last night and this morning.

My most troublesome symptom at the moment is burning diarrhoea 🙈 This virus definitely seems to increase acid production. I’m really surprised that more is not being said about that in the media. I’ve had burning eyes, burning throat, burning lungs, heartburn and now a burning bum. Wonder if Boris has the same 😉

Everyone with the high temperatures must feel miserable. I never had a high temperature even when I felt like I was burning up I would be hot and cold and feel sure I had a fever but temperature was never high.

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 19:36

What day are you @Bornlazy?

user34254356 · 12/04/2020 19:37

@bornlazy i am on day 26 and just got diarrhoea out of the blue! Too scared to eat anything now and feeling feverish post diarrhoea. Feeling so frustrated and no idea what symptoms to look out for if i need to be hospitalised apart from breathing difficulties.

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 19:46

@user34254356 that's the problem isn't it? I had a rash on my stomach the other day and spoke to gp who said there's no data about rashes and COVID. He didn't even look at it, so I rang the next day and a different dr did a video call and said it looked like a viral rash. Hmm

Bornlazy · 12/04/2020 19:47

I think I’m day 30. I get the diarrhoea whenever I feel the virus is winning if you like. The first time I had it I thought maybe my body was flushing it out but I’ve come to think it’s just sitting there in the bowel or lung or wherever waiting to flare up again. It all seems to flare up at the same time.

mumlurker · 12/04/2020 19:50

I've been getting it every morning for the last few days. Horrible to wake up to! Plus chills etc

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 19:53

Do you think we have sufficient antibodies by now to not be overwhelmed by it? I almost feel like it's starting again but surely after a month I have the antibodies to fighting?
