@user34254356 dont stop eating! Even more important w diarrhoea . At least have soup and crackers if you can't face anyything else, it'll help to dilute the acid.

kevintheorangecarrot · 12/04/2020 19:58

My head is pounding :( I am feeling quite unwell. Never felt like this when I had a week of breathlessness.

hollieberrie · 12/04/2020 20:01

Hello everyone and welcome to new joiners - so sorry we are all still in this, but this thread is helping a lot, we'll get through it!

I think its Day 32 for me. I'm still doing ok these last couple of days but quite tired, coughing and bouts of breathlessness ..my anxiety is also through the roof about having another relapse.

I'm very congested too but scared to use Sudafed tablets or spray incase it makes me worse for nay reason. Has anyone else used it?

Needsomegoodnews · 12/04/2020 20:03

@Wrybread @fedupofbed @Sambucus @JackJackIncredible ongoing low grade fever here too. Had it for most of the first 3 weeks, then 4/5 days without and back up again yesterday and today (Day 27). Only up to 37.9 and sometimes down to 37.7 but I feel flushed. No idea if it’s something secondary or still the damn virus/effects of virus. I worried much less when it seemed to be down and with ongoing breathlessness it’s making me anxious.

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 20:04

@hollieberrie I used Sudafed at the start when I thought I had sinus problems. It helped I think.

@kevintheorangecarrot have you checked your resting pulse?

mumlurker · 12/04/2020 20:04

I was just about to ask about sudafed. My ears feel totally blocked and lots of pressure in my sinuses, but their completely dry - nose is blocked but dry. I'm trying steam inhalation but wonder if a decongestant would be better

mumlurker · 12/04/2020 20:05

*they're not their

kevintheorangecarrot · 12/04/2020 20:09

@godhelpusall yes 55bpm at the moment. My heart rate is usually between 45-55bpm. Always has been. I'm not athletic in any way, but docs have always said that my heart rate is very good... I don't bloody feel it though :(

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 20:15

@kevintheorangecarrot that's very good. I'm really fearful of sepsis (I had it post partum) so I keep an eye on my heart rate. Not sure that's much help though! I hope you wake up tomorrow without the horrible headache.

TheDrsWife46 · 12/04/2020 20:25

@Bornlazy it was the diarrhoea that I started with that meant people assumed I just had norovirus. My mother in law said “do you think they havent publicised diarrhoea as a symptom in case it fuelled the stockpiling of loo roll?”

I think there’s something in that.

user34254356 · 12/04/2020 20:25

@godhelpusall i am now worried about sepsis but the signs are so similar to the infection so finding it difficult to say when it would clearly be a case to go to hospital for potential sepsis. My heart rate is really raised in late 80s and 90. I don't know what it was before the illness so I can't say. What are the signs to watch out for in your opinion?

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 20:31

I seem to remember feeling really poorly and having rigours (shaking with fever). I think heart rate over 100 is another sign. And a feeling of doom (but then that's pretty common with this thing!) But like you say it's all quite similar. I might add I have health anxiety as well, so I tend towards the catastrophic

TheDrsWife46 · 12/04/2020 20:34

@godhelpusall I am coming away from this whole experience with health anxiety! Do you get any support/medication for health anxiety before this happened?

Bornlazy · 12/04/2020 20:37

The anxiety caused by this virus is almost as bad as the physical symptoms. What other illness would have us second guessing every medication we took to deal with it? There is a genuine fear with me that I try very hard to keep a lid on that nobody is an expert on this. GPs have a very limited knowledge of it and from reading the experiences on here no two are saying the same thing. When I spoke to mine, to get a sick line when I dipped for the first time, I got the distinct impression that she thought it was two separate viruses rather than an exacerbation of the same one. When you are speaking over the phone rather than face to face so many things must get missed.

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 20:39

I had it as a consequence of PTSD over ten years ago and it was horrible. The physical symptoms that I was able to create was unreal. So This thing has left me not knowing how much is this and how much that. I have had lots of therapy and take citalopram which I've increased since starting this horror show. And I have still found it very difficult- i think this situation leads to PTSD due to the fear of dying factor.

user34254356 · 12/04/2020 20:44

so true @Bornlazy - there is no singular message as everyone is still figuring things out including the GPs. I am just clutching to the straw that given we are all near the 30 day mark that things are unlikely to take a turn for the worse.

@godplusall thanks for sharing. So you probably need to be feeling fairly poorly. Fingers crossed none of us have to face that.

longshot · 12/04/2020 20:45

@godhelpusall I am worried about sepsis, not had it but my rapid pulse has scared me and the fact I’m still so achey!

Is anyone else still suffering from muscle pain / aches at 33days ish? It seemed to go and come back again (like most symptoms I guess).

Bornlazy · 12/04/2020 20:48

@TheDrsWife46 I wonder if the virus has mutated from when it first started or if the people in China with mainly gastric symptoms were discounted as not having CV.

I do think that one of the symptoms is anxiety and not just because it is terrifying but because it actually does something to our nervous system. Maybe once your virus has gone completely the anxiety will go too and you won’t feel the way you do now about the whole experience.

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 20:50

I'm also assuming by this stage we should be ok. But keep talking to each other, share your fears here. I have found this group so helpful for that.

user34254356 · 12/04/2020 20:52

@Longshot yes i have muscle aches ie flu like symptoms come and go.

sepsis hadn't even crossed my mind and now it's one more thing for me to worry about which my oximeter wont help me monitor. Last night i stayed up all night thinking the muscle ache in my leg was a blood clot and tonight it's sepsis night. I also suffer from health anxiety issues and so find it hard for family to take my seriously.

Runnerduck34 · 12/04/2020 20:54

Really interesting to hear that others are getting symptons like heartburn, acid reflux, Ive also been experiencing symptons like these. Started to feel better on day 21, now day 24 and think my optimism are being cured was sadly ill placed! No longer as tired but still getting breathless doing everyday things, chest tightness eased but still feel like Ive got heartburn and had bad headaches and diarrhea which I hadnt had before, not even sure if i have covid 19 but know Ive been feeling unwell now for what seems like forever, whatever it is it just keeps on giving. Hope everyone thats been on here for a while is seeing an improvement.

Bornlazy · 12/04/2020 20:55

@longshot I still get muscle/joint pains. Not helped by only taking paracetamol when I would normally attack it with ibuprofen. It is the kind of pain I’ve had with flu.

Meercatmama · 12/04/2020 20:57

Good evening
I agree that the anxiety is awful with this virus. On day 28 today and had a good day until this evening back came the tickly cough and aches in my back. It was my last day of antibiotics today so dreading any relapse. I actually thought at one point today I felt almost normal but this evening back came the anxiety that I have not had it and what if I catch it on top of this. Thinking about it logically my husband has had the same symptoms and is 14days behind me and we match most of the symptoms people have had on here so it more than likely we have had it but it shows how your mind goes into overdrive with anxiety Wishing everyone a peaceful night and I am so glad of the support on here which has been brilliant

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 20:58

@user34254356 I'm sorry if I have increased your anxiety. It is very unlikely that any of us would get sepsis, although I think having had it before I'm more likely to get it. But please do not stay up all night worrying- it's a very tiny chance and you would feel very very poorly if you had it.

godhelpusall · 12/04/2020 21:13

@Meercatmama I think you know when you've had it. It's nothing like anything I've had before, weird symptoms that come and go. Frankly the lack of smell thing was the dealbreaker first me- so bizarre
