@mumlurker I am similar in terms of fatigue, never known anything like this either. Awful. Feel like I’m losing my mind. What day are you on now?

pinkoneblueone · 11/04/2020 10:03

What day are you both on @Meercatmama. I despite being ill I am loving Being with my family as I worked so much before.

Porcupineinwaiting · 11/04/2020 10:10

@mumlurker yes I've had it a few times before , also get an autoimmune version when gut problems flair up. All I can say is that it is really, really important to listen to your body and rest rather than try and "push through it" like we are told to these days.

Meercatmama · 11/04/2020 10:12

I am on day 27 and husband is on day 13
What day are you on pinkoneblueone

mumlurker · 11/04/2020 10:15

@longshot

I think this is day 30? I still have other symptoms but the horrible headachey exhaustion is really getting to me - it's definitely not a pleasant sort of tiredness and it's hard even to distract myself with a book or film.

My GP is happy with my stats and seems to think i'm post-viral now, but with nothing else to do I start worrying I have something else wrong with me that's gone undetected. These sorts of anxieties are new to me - this viral really does seem to mess with your mind...

mumlurker · 11/04/2020 10:19

@Porcupineinwaiting

Yes just staying in bed and sleeping when I can. Did you take any supplements or anything like that when you were recovering?

Porcupineinwaiting · 11/04/2020 10:24

I always take supplements tbh as my gut is s bit shot and doesn't absorb too well. Right now I am taking high dose vit c, standard multivitamin, high dose vit d and a calcium/zinc thing. I do know I am vit d deficient but luckily not very as was diagnosed 9 months ago and have been supplementing ever since.

hollieberrie · 11/04/2020 10:30

Morning all,

Day 31 here and feeling fairly perky, just the cough, wheezy chest & occasional heartburn which are all manageable. I'm very anxious about it coming back though, i cant relax at all.

@longshot I'm so sorry that you feel so poorly at the same stage. I only picked up a couple of days ago after an awful week so hopefully this will happen for you too very soon.

Quarantinequeen · 11/04/2020 10:36

Day 29 can I join please?

pinkoneblueone · 11/04/2020 10:39

I am on 32/35 as I felt rundown a few days before the sore throats and cough kicked in

Standrewsschool · 11/04/2020 10:48

Day 27 - feeling generally okay, although slight dry throat and still have occasional cough. Also nervous about having a relapse, especially as due back at work next week.

Got offered a test yesterday (admin -NHS) so had it done -mouth and nose swab. Be interesting to see the results. Hopefully come back negative, although I would like to know whether I’ve definantly had it.

Meercatmama · 11/04/2020 10:49

So glad it is not just me who cough has kick back in and the soreness at the top of my chest Still on the antibiotics so that must be helping.

Sambucus · 11/04/2020 11:10

Hello to all my fellow travellers. Day 25 here - some improvement but still having to take paracetamol regularly to preempt temperature spikes. Wish I knew when it would get better. I can’t find the post now but someone was wishing we knew more about the whole spectrum of symptoms. I agree completely but we can all help with this if we complete the daily symptom tracker set up by Kings in London regardless of whether we are ill, well or somewhere in between . They’ve already identified the link with loss of smell/ taste and the more data they have the sooner we will know more. More than 2 million people are already doing it. Ps I don’t work for them, I just think it’s nice to be doing something positive which might help.

Egghead68 · 11/04/2020 11:12

Hi - day 22ish and in bed with fatigue and upper chest pain. Yes - I do the King’s symptom tracker. Takes less than a minute each day. Another day closer to recovery for us all...

Egghead68 · 11/04/2020 11:15

I am thankful not to have needed hospital admission thus far and that I am not in much pain.

Littleninja1 · 11/04/2020 11:25

Morning everyone. Have you seen the info from South Korea on patients testing positive again after "recovering"? They are now investigating if the virus re-activates. Very interesting as perhaps this explains our ups and downs?

Here is a screenshot from the guardian live feed about it.

Morning, day 39 and woken up feeling I've relapsed a bit again. Headache, nausea, tummy upset and complete can't-get-head-off-pillow exhaustion. My chest isn't too bad though (slight burning sensation only) and no temperature today so far...

I don't think it helps that I never get a full night's sleep - seems to come in 3 hour snatches.

mumlurker · 11/04/2020 11:47

@Littleninja1

I does feel a bit like glandular fever - the way it seems to lie dormant even on 'good' days.

eyebrowsofinstagram · 11/04/2020 11:53

Hi there,

I think I'm on about day 20 now and I'm significantly worse than I was at the beginning. I can't have a shower or stack and empty the dishwasher for the last few days.

I wake up in the morning more depleted, and can't really talk on the phone now.

Not had bad temperature since Thursday, but despite that I'm able to do less. It is just lungs and breathing.

Just called 111 and waiting for a call back from a clinician. Really don't want to go to hospital, but I'm not sure what else they'll advise?

Tangledyarn · 11/04/2020 11:54

@longshot @mumlurker I'm the same. Day 36, the fatigue and near fainting are awful. Am so weak and shaky, I had a shower this morning and feel like I cant recover from it, breathlessness, sore throat, chest pain increased again. Definitely feel like I'm losing my mind.

www.oregonlive.com/coronavirus/2020/04/seabiscuit-author-laura-hillenbrand-on-coronavirus-symptoms-it-felt-like-i-was-breathing-through-gauze.html

Interesting article from someone who has it, they have been advised recovery may take up to 2 months

Littleninja1 · 11/04/2020 12:12

@eyebrowsofinstagram most of us have been totally out of action with this due to breathlessness, chest pains and fatigue. I know that's probably not a comfort but if you've had it more mildly earlier on you may not have got used to the feeling. Do check with 111 but also try not to worry. It comes and goes so much that getting to know your new normal every few days takes a while. Are you able to stay in bed and rest? Does lying on your front help with the breathing?

longshot · 11/04/2020 12:15

@Joeaj23 thank you for posting that it’s very useful. I have really struggled these last two days, mentally as well as physically as at times just feel so bad and the racing heart sends me over the edge into anxiety etc. I have no mental health issues but this illness has made me feel like a different person at times! I know I’ve got to hang In there and believe I can recover and take each glimmer of recovery and feeling slightly normal as a success. Having to summon up every bit of energy to do that today.

eyebrowsofinstagram · 11/04/2020 12:24

Thanks @Littleninja1 as long as I can recover I can put up with any hardships. That's reassuring to know it could be a normal pattern. I've been mostly resting since 23 March, and off work even though I work from home. Just turning on my laptop and trying to reply to emails was too much.

Just worrying about the fact I seem to be getting worse now. Will see what clinician says in any case

Quarantinequeen · 11/04/2020 12:31

Yes it reminds me of glandular fever too. Has anyone else not had any change/loss of smell and taste? Other than that I've had textbook symptoms.
