The other thread is filling up fast so setting up the foundation for our new evil lair. One where we follow real guidelines, not made up ones, make sock cocks ,ruin hair and bemoan the shortage of Spanish soldiers.

This is where we'll keep each other sane or descend into madness together... depends on the day.

Just had a post on fb

Clap for boris, Tuesday 7pm
.....
I'm pretty sure he's already had the claps 🤔

isabellerossignol · 06/04/2020 22:29

I've been over on the other thread getting lonely, I knew this one had been set up but I didn't realise we were posting on it!

I chatted to my neighbour today. From the opposite side of the street. She was in her garden and I was getting into my car.

Do your worst. Tell me how I have done isolating wrong. I can take it.

itsnotfair10 · 06/04/2020 22:36

Ooo yes! I think I've finally found my people! The ones that have some sense! I had started to lose hope and then I found this thread!

SarahTancredi · 06/04/2020 22:37

I knew it was you from the title. Love it Grin

TrainspottingWelsh · 06/04/2020 22:38

Oh are we allowed to eat pasta now? I thought we just had to fill our cupboards with it? What if I open a bag and then we have to isolate and starve to death.

We could do a new poem, all for the want of a horse shoe nail. For the want of a pasta bow

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 06/04/2020 22:40

We could do a new poem

Do not say things like these. That's how the sock cock and the stay home you little goblin poster happened.Grin

Willow2017 · 06/04/2020 22:43

The fact I was at home, and they had strayed from a footpath to lecture me didn't deter them.
Wtf is wrong with people?
Did you ask them how they had managed to get on your land while staying at home themselves? That mught have fried thier brain a bit.

Willow2017 · 06/04/2020 22:46

We could do a new poem
Oh lordy dont encourage them! my jaws ache from giggling at these 2 threads enough already!

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 06/04/2020 22:50

isabello it's not that lonely in there. I'm trying my best here wrangling two threads, explaining the difference between travelling and being in your own garden, being dragged into DD's group chats and now the possibility of a poem. Where's my clap?Grin

Willow2017 · 06/04/2020 22:52

It in that Spanish policeman you just need to get up close and personal😉

Squiz81 · 06/04/2020 22:56

Oh I've just found you all I'm so pleased.
It sometimes feels like everyone has lost all sense.

To prove my credentials, I took my children to the deserted playing field near my house to play frisbee today AND also stood on my driveway speaking with 3 other neighbors all in front of their properties.

SheilaFentiman · 06/04/2020 23:03

At last, my people!

Thepigeonsarecoming · 06/04/2020 23:04

Only been out today to walk the dog. Did have to walk past a policeman though who was on the opposite side of the road, had a moment of panic when he said good afternoon and replied mornerrmhello

I’ve lost all ability to exchange small talk...at least I wasn’t arrested for being outdoors and breathing!

TrainspottingWelsh · 06/04/2020 23:08

willow yes, but they were taking their daily exercise so it was ok. Obviously I missed the part where Boris said we should exercise on other people's land.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 06/04/2020 23:10

@Thepigeonsarecoming that's ok you deserve a medal anyways for coming up with the thread title.

Or I can send you the defective, deranged, STD soldier for a clap or two?

OP posts:
isabellerossignol · 06/04/2020 23:12

Thepigeonsarecoming I'm pretty sure you can breathe OR you can go outside. But you can't do both at the same time. I know it's true because I saw someone say so in CAPITAL LETTERS, and they were DISCUSTED.

ilovecherries · 06/04/2020 23:20

I found you all again. When I was out for my walk, a person passed me on the other side of the road and called out ‘lovely day, isn’t it’. He broke many rules, including engaging with a person not in his household, being cheerful, and well - walking while enjoying the sun. I was shocked.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 06/04/2020 23:21

For want of some pasta a meal was lost
For want of a meal the potato was lost
For want of potato McDonalds was lost
For want of McDonalds restrictions were lost
For want of restrictions common sense was lost
For want of common sense minds were lost
For want of minds Mumsnet was lost
And all for the want of some pasta.

Oh no I missed the first thread, I'm looking forward to catching up with that!!

I haven't made the official food and drink sponsor of coronavirus quarantine... Banana bread and dalgona coffee, my IG feed might not forgive me...

ilovecherries · 06/04/2020 23:25

I also had a somewhat unpleasant note through my (undisinfected) flap, informing me that it was noticed that I didn’t clap last Thursday, and could we pls attend his week. WTAF.

Greysparkles · 06/04/2020 23:25

This is a whole new level

Cats , Flaps and The Clap
ilovecherries · 06/04/2020 23:28

We have had banana bread. Loaves and loaves of the bloody stuff. I got bananas in BOTH my fruit and veg boxes at the weekend. Confused. Tomorrow it will need to be carrot cake as we’ve also got about 3kgs of those.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 06/04/2020 23:29

cherries seriously? That's some fucked up shit.

grey are those...carrier bags?? How's the job going?

OP posts:
PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 06/04/2020 23:31

I tried making banana bread for the first time last week. DD didn't like it. Apparently it was too banana-y.Hmm

ilovecherries · 06/04/2020 23:33

Yes, it really was quite nasty, and liberally sprinkled with emoticons, exclamation marks, capital letters and racism, all wrapped in saccharine passive aggression. I’m laughing now, but was really quite upset at the time.
