The other thread is filling up fast so setting up the foundation for our new evil lair. One where we follow real guidelines, not made up ones, make sock cocks ,ruin hair and bemoan the shortage of Spanish soldiers.

This is where we'll keep each other sane or descend into madness together... depends on the day.

I thought of this thread whilst driving home from work (NHS) with the roof off my car, it felt wrong as if not allowed to enjoy a drive with the wind in your hair.
Also stopped to by Easter Goodies and am having a takeaway delivered , to take the pain away from having to work on Good Friday and B/hol Monday.
This thread really cheers me up, thanks all!

sorry for my moan! I know the clap is well intentioned (!) I think it is all the bloody competetivness of it that makes it worse, Our neighbours on both sides are insufferable with stuff like this!
Anyway...today has been relatively sin free for me. My second day off and I have basically just lounged around doing bugger all.(which was much needed actually) Possibly due to recovering from slightly too much wine last night - but we had a fab day yesterday so I dont care!
Going to brave the shops tomorrow. There will be wine and chocolate in my trolley and good luck to anyone that tries to stop me. I will also go for a run tomorrow and then may order a takeway. Its all about balance!
Have yet to try the questionable crafts so may give that a go tomorrow to Grin

Bananabixfloof · 09/04/2020 19:09

discovered booze? How is that possible

I'm a total slattern, been leaving the wine bottles on the worktop rather than put away in our (external wall, so cold) beer cupboard. Therefore I haven't even looked in it til today.
Am now drinking cider and eating chocolate, flagellating as I do so, of course.

Max
Moan away its allowed on here.
Enjoy yourself, it is allowed despite the MN Stazi and the curtain twitchers.
I think if anyone deserves to slob out for a day or two (or three) its NHS workers! I dont know what my excuse is! Grin
Quite fancy a takeaway tomorrow myself, wonder if my local chinese is still doing it? Could murder a beef in black bean sauce right now! Thought I had a jar of BBS in the store cupboard but I dont.

Whitechoctwix thanks. Its pretty impossible to keep 2m away from anyone else in a shop when you are working with other staff or from customers who lean right over you when you are at a shelf! I have decided that if I havent caught it yet then I never will Grin Thanks for being considerate as well, many people just dont see the staff as people. Although when on the checkout most of the people were very nice and considerate, some numptys just didnt think before licking their fingers before passing you their money! Yeughghghg. It sure opens your eyes to society as a whole!

An advert for these hats with isolation visors just popped up when I was browsing the internet (for non essential purchases)

I might get one for the BBQ were are having in our garden (just involves our household I should add)

Squiz81 I keep getting those adverts as well and I have no idea why!

Barrique · 09/04/2020 19:36

It’s my birthday tomorrow so I have bought fizz, chocolate fudge cake and a bag of carrots, which sounds wrong on so many levels but planning a roast on Sunday so roast carrots are essentials.

I would have entrusted DH to buy cake and fizz but last time he went shopping for my birthday he came back with the Scalextric set that he’d always wanted (that was 2006 before you ask).

Blobby10 · 09/04/2020 19:38

I have sinned most grievously just now- I did decide gin and was Easter eggs could wait rather than join the queue of 50 other people waiting for each supermarket but then I went out on my bike. It’s a road bike (dropped handlebars) Not only did I cycle for 1 hr and ten minutes but I went further than half a mile from my home! And I wore Lycra 😱😱!!!! How long must I self flagellate for oh wise ones? 😁😁

Willow2017 · 09/04/2020 19:45

Ohhhh Blobby you are doomed! Expect a public flogging at least!

TheGreatWave · 09/04/2020 19:47

I have returned from the shop, I hate going to the supermarket at the best of times but that was well stressful.

DH has taken DS out for a walk, the kid has seriously done my head in today.

The shed came, as did my JL order, that I only did about Tuesday I think. A funky ice cube tray and also reusable ice cubes. Very indulgent.

I did feel a bit of guilt about the shed as it was a two man delivery, which isn't very good really.

I feel overwhelmed at the moment, not sure why though.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 09/04/2020 19:53

Moan away Max it's not only allowed but encouraged on here. Then we'll throw nice things at you from a distance.

For anyone that is eyeing the carrots or cucumbers maybe give this company a go?

Thanks @WhiteChocTwix I’ve carefully molded them in my own mini mes. One more successfully than the other to be fair, but they’re both little legends, though it may come back to bite me on the arse.

I have returned from the shop, made and inhaled a carbonara, and poured myself a first very large gin of the evening.

Annoyingly I have to work for at least a couple of hours first thing every day this weekend 🤨 but i am grateful to be neither unemployed nor in the frontline so 🤷‍♀️

@TheGreatWave the supermarkets are a nightmare aren’t they. Stupidly stressful. I am in a very fuckety fuck fuck sort of mood this evening. I fear if I let my stroppy sweatiness subside then I will just be sat here crying into my gin so I think I’ll stick with it.

soupforbrains · 09/04/2020 19:56

*SWEARiness not sweatiness although it has been rather warm today...

TheGreatWave · 09/04/2020 20:06

I don't even drink. Back in the olden days I spoke to the woman behind me in Sainsbury's who was buying a lot of wine, I joked that her preparation was much better than mine of bread sticks and mild cheddar, she advised not to turn to the wine. I should not have listened to her.

DS has coped so well so far, but today it has been a total shitfarce, and I have really struggled.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 09/04/2020 20:12

@soupforbrains you ok? Anything in particular that's bugging you or the whole situation?

I just got my fastest ever time on Strava running the fuck away from clappers.

Maybe that is the actual meaning of “going like the clappers”?

I live in a mega safe Tory seat and the hypocrisy really does make me puke.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 09/04/2020 20:15

@soupforbrains see my above post for SOLIDARITY in stroppy sweatiness. Grin

BatshitCrazyWoman · 09/04/2020 20:21

Fireworks?? FFS. This self-congratulatory post appeared on my local FB the minute the clapping died down. I also live in a safe Tory seat.

Blobby10 · 09/04/2020 20:24

@PaulHollywoodsSexGut I did that last week- was on a major route march with Bon Jovi blasting through my headphones when i realised what the really weird noise was - got some filthy looks from those banging pans and clapping 😂😂😂

TheGreatWave · 09/04/2020 20:29

It is fantastic news that BoJo is doing well and is back on the wards. However I can't imagine him being a good patient.

"Nurse! Nurse!"

Willow2017 · 09/04/2020 20:30

Not a cheep again from my street! I set my phone alarm which was an epic fail as I was also setting it for the mornings at the weekend and forgot that 7.55 was am not pm! I am losing my few brain cells each day! But still no clapping. I am relieved I didnt miss it again if everyone is doing it, I feel I should do it at least once!

Blobby excelent taste in music btw. Grin
