I am worried about the lack of standards during the coronavirus pandemic. Where have all the pedants gone? Mrs Malaprop is running riot as people climb over themselves to be more observant of the ROOLZ than their co-posters.

Maybe the pendants are all now the posters yelling 'murderer's everytime someone coughs.

Or is a misplaced comma a symptom? I think we need a clap for dyslexics as they will have additional stress of not knowing if their inability to construct a sentence is a sign they are about to take up a precious hospital bed - we just have to avoid 6pm.

morning all,
well I feel I must have sinned because I actually had a lovely day yesterday and did not spend my first day on annual leave wailing! Managed to drag 5 out of 6 teenage dc out for a walk, with DH and our 3 dogs. As you can imagine that made for a big group of us and the looks we got from folk who clearly thought we MUST all be form different households! Anyway, we alked through our local woods and the dogs had a swim in the lake, it was all very lovely. then we came back and played badminton in the garden , had a BBQ and then toasted marshmallows round the fire pit. We drank wine, played music and had a generally fab time.
Now awaiting the police to come and question me on why I felt entitled to have FUN at a time like this....hey ho.
Today will mostly be spent doing very little....I might actually bake some hot cross buns which will avoid the risk of pissing people off by daring to BUY them with my next lot of shopping and also please the lockdown purists who seem to decree we should now be baking EVERYTHING daily ! (I do nomrally make hot cross buns every year !) Will see if I can be bothered later!
