@onlinelinda thanks, it's the pits isn't it.
@Tangledyarn try the vitamin c and a nebuliser to hit it in your throat and stomach. 31 days is a long time.

Trying melatonin tonight.

@Lovelesslily @kevintheorangecarrot I've been having the exact same waves since last Monday. Less frequently but still there. I've never experienced it before either.
@TheDrsWife46 I'm glad it's not just me with the day 7 anxiety. Im lying in bed with this overwhelming feeling inside me and I can't decide if it's illness or anxiety

@mumlurker don’t lose hope @Tangledyarn you too, you know yours will linger. I have friends who are still hoping we can travel to meet on that May bank holiday that’s changed to a Friday LOL I shall not be venturing beyond this county border before July

Day 25 or 22 from cough starting. Absolutely exhausted still. Slept from about midnight to past 11am. Woke still tired with sore eyes. I’d been a bit better before this. Chest is better, just a bit of a productive cough remaining and less frequent.

Heartburn and bloating is the worst now. I’ve added windese to my arsenal as the bloating is so bad, especially after meals. On the other hand I have no diarrhoea or gas from the other end. I stopped the antibiotics (made no difference but may have prevented something I guess) and restarted the prebiotics to see if they help.

Face still flush and hot but no fever. Nose still a bit stuffy. Looking forward to getting back to normal and being able to exercise.

Very tempted to try the test too. £150 I think. DH doesn’t think it’s worth it. We can afford it but the chance it’s inaccurate makes it less appealing. Better to wait for the government approved version at a fraction of the price.

Just to add
The problem with the tests at the moment are they are worried it will give too many false negatives. Not worried about false positives. So I think I will take that as good sign that ours was properly positive, especially on the igG line.

Thanks for the new post.
I thought I was day 13 but I got a text from 111 saying that the family don't need to isolate now so it must be 14.
It's all a blur, especially the first week.
I still have chest symptoms.
I'm less weak but I keep getting chest pain and feeling breathless. My oxygen levels are perfect though.

@onlinelinda
I have literally not been to any shop for 3 weeks! I have been sending my poor mum. 😬

Did your antigen test show you have had the virus then?

@ofwarren
You missed out on all the action at end of previous thread! 😁
It did! I was positive for both igM current infection and igG immunity antibody.
My husband was positive too. While my mom and the other adult who lives with us were both negative. They haven’t has any symptoms though.

I'm lying here unable to sleep. Feels like there's a weight on my chest and skin is red hot again and really sensitive and achy. In addition to this, my partner who we thought had had this is lying next to me and burning up. He's a smoker so my anxiety is through the roof.

ofwarren · 06/04/2020 03:44

Breathlessness is awful tonight. Keep waking myself up with it.
Again though, my oxygen saturation is normal. So frustrating.
I think it's possibly acid reflux that's causing it. I'm on the highest dose of Lansoprazole and still waiting for a delivery of gaviscon.

How are you feeling @Taffyapple8?

Day 28. Wanted to wake up feeling like a new person on day 28 but still have this pain in ribs on left side and one near sternum. Taken some paracetamol and will see what happens.

@Spacecadetagain That's exactly it with the pain. I feel like I've taken a severe beating and keep looking expecting to be bruised...

Woken up with tight chest/burning/breathlessness again and am once again shaking. I really thought I was over this stage. Scared and fed up. Day 16 in the coronavirus house...

Just a few important points on using nebulisers:

Be aware, given we don’t know exactly how long the virus stays in the air, a nebuliser being used by an infected person risks infecting others in the the same household.

Most importantly, cheap nebulisers that are purchased (and not prescribed) often are not to be able to be taken apart easily. This means you cannot sterilise them properly and risk other infections.

Please take care Flowers

Day 29 here and I'm attempted to go back to work, again. I went back day 15/16 for 1.5days but ended up in agony with rib pain, pleurisy and chest infection. Fingers crossed it goes better today.
I managed to go shopping on Saturday and felt relatively normal. Yesterday I did jobs around the house but got a bit achey so took it steady. So deffo going to take it easy today. As it stands I'm only working today as I've no idea how im going to fit the rest of my hours in with no childcare

Bornlazy · 06/04/2020 05:55

@ofwarren if the highest dose of lanzoprazole isn’t helping you I would speak to your GP as they might decide to try you on a different medication from the same group.

@findingschools4myboys does your test result mean that you are still positive for the virus as in having to isolate? Fantastic news that you have some antibodies.

Day 28, I’m back had A day of feeling normal yesterday and back to no sleep as I have had an ‘asthma attack’ from about 1am that was the fluttering in my chest. It’s eased a little but my chest pain is back. Called 111 who wanted me to go to our local hospital which is a hot bed for the virus and I declined and asked for advice. I’m currently waiting on a GP calling me back. The nurse asked if it’s likely to be symptoms from before. I think she’s right damn it. Was hoping to be over this by now.

Just dropping in - never posted here before. Did anyone have an acid reflux type feeling as their first symptom? I've napped most afternoons for a week - just so exhausted and have been up overnight with my throat burning. Just wondering whether the existence of this virus is making me a hypochondriac

I was on the first two of these threads as my symptoms started about 17th March. I seemed to follow the same time line as many others, although not quite so severe.

I am now much better, although have just had a really bad night as kept waking up with various pains and feeling light headed.

Anyway, I did a test last week and the result was negative for both the virus and antibodies. I think it may well have been a false negative as my symptoms were so similar to lots on here so can’t think what else it can be..
