@findingschools4myboys how did you manage to get the antibody tests? I would love to be able to take one if I can get my hands on it! I hope I haven't interpreted this in the wrong way Blush

@kevintheorangecarrot how are you now? I seem to think you were on a similar timescale to me? @findingschools4myboys may not be willing to share how she got a test after being shot down in flames for having it. At the end of the last thread we posted clinics who had previously had tests available at considerable cost. It is also worth noting that these are unlicensed in this country and so you make a calculated risk as to whether you are are prepared to pay high costs for a test. All links are at the end of the other thread. Harley street one, surescreen and dnaworkplace. I know that @findingschools4myboys was able to secure a test in London. I wasn’t able to persue that as I live in the midlands.

@littleblackdress04 I too am on day 13 and I dont feel like its left Sad Ive got a tight chest and cant feel my legs properly today from real muscle weakness. However I have eaten a small meal and managed to sit without trembling or shaking.

@longshot Im delighted that you are able to complete small tasks etc. Although I can get up, i couldnt go for a walk (and my little dog hasnt left my side once for two weeks she’d love a walk! - kids have run her ragged in the garden) or make a meal etc for the family. Poor DH has tried his best to keep everyone fed but I havent seen a vegetable for weeks now which cant be helping my own recovery. Glad your feeling brighter x

@longshot
Sorry was just reading over last thread and realised I didn’t get back to you. I haven’t really been self isolating no. First when I became poorly I didn’t for a minute think this is what I had so I was already around everyone. I also Co sleep with my children 😬 but they have had fevers so I believe they probably have got it. I am going to test my oldest two tomorrow. My mom is one of the other adults in the house who stays with us. She has been lying in bed calming me down when I was at my worst so I have no idea how she hasn’t caught anything.

I will send you PM with info where I got test today. Harley street clinic is the one I have booked for week after next.

@TheDrsWife46 thanks lovely I have went back on the other thread and found out how so I am looking into it now :) and I am feeling much better today. I can't believe the breathlessness I had though I never, ever had that before, as well as the other symptoms and that's why I am wondering whether I had covid! How are you doing now? Hope you're feeling better and yes I believe we are both on the same timescale xx

Try olbas oil on a tissue to imhale for sinuses.
Dp still coughing away. He is never ill. And i have a tickly cough now too. So worried we are both going to decline. Even dd2 has still got her cough weeks later.
Just generally feeling anxious and it's really hard to sleep when you keep on waking up worrying.
Think im just worrying dd and i didnt have it and now we've caught it (from food delivery? As that is the only thing weve done in the 5day timeframe).
Or is it more likely dp has now caught it or something from dd but she started getting ill so long ago - before march even. I know it can be long but that is very long considering people are supposed to be contagious before getting ill too. Though obviously dp has been working from home unlike me so wouldnt have been as exposed.

Did most people start with a fever or have one? (As he doesnt have one yet)... He has had sore throat then cough the next day. Which i got on exactly the same day which seems very odd. Given how lengthy the incubation would have been.
So almost more likely to be the delivery as we were exposed on the same day at the same time. (That would be crap though as i never got close to the supermarket guy really certainly not for 15min. I washed hands a lot and was careful to wipe down the food...)
But also if it is that contagious then what hope have isolating people got im sure most people arent quarenting their food or wiping it down.

Is anyone else finding they can't regulate their body temperature?
I'm not feverish as such any more but find if I'm under the duvet I start overheating quickly but if I remove it I get freezing straight away?? Can't find a happy medium.

Signing on day 24. Sigh.
Thanks thedrswife46 for a new thread.

Seem to be much more feverish today, fatigued, back and chest pain still there but less burning.
In and out of bed all day including a few walks outside. Not slept at all.

Will try and repost some helpful links for any new posters.

@Lovelesslily that's exactly what I was like when I had fever and shivers for one night, through to early morning. It was strange but I would cover myself one mo as I was cold then this overwhelming hot wave would come over my body then I'd throw it off.. very weird sensation I've never had anything like it. I've had fevers in the past when I had adenovirus and strep and they was constant, but this one just came and went all night (no bloody sleep whatsoever!)

I would definitely test. What alternatives do we have?

Day 21/22.

My news is that after initially feeling better then dipping down again Weds-Sunday, I have now been relatively well for 2 days , and have got up and finally even got dressed today. I went for a slow 15 minute walk out too. I really hope this continues, and I hope that you all make progress too.

Glad to discover I’m not alone in having problems for an extended period - I’ve been sick for 32 days now , two bad weeks then I was back to around 80% for a week , husband became ill and my symptoms came back with a vengeance. Breathless when moving about but ok sat still , headache and sore eyes again etc so I’m just waiting it out again - I really hope this is the final stage of it all as I’m really low now. The irony is I got my extremely vulnerable letter on Friday so even after this I’m facing 12 further weeks in the house

@stayathomegardener I’m really sorry you’re still having symptoms.

@mumlurker it’s such a long time. Although I’m sure that bit by bit you will improve.

It’s horrible, isn’t it, the constant anxiety about it on top.

I watched a video recently on care for those with CV.

  • Stay hydrated (this is important)

  • It matters less about you eating, so if you don't feel like eating fine but stay hydrated!

  • If you have it on your chest sleep sitting up or face down. Lying on your back is the worst position for potential pneumonia.

Just place marking on new thread! It's been an awful weekend, I feel much worse in myself than I did earlier in the week although my breathing is much better, still have episodes of breathlessness, very sore throat, burning chest and stomach pain. Havent been able to get out of bed for more than a few mins and just feel so fatigued, weal and like I'm going to faint all the time. I don't know what that means but I'm totally at the end of my tether as been I'll for 31 days, may have to push to see a dr in person and have some blood tests as I'm not sure I can cope much longer and my partner is really worried I am so ill. Sigh. Hope everyone else is doing ok xx

@kevintheorangecarrot That's exactly it. I've not got the horrible shaking at the moment thankfully but just can't get to a comfortable temperature to sleep.

My chest also just feels kind of... weird. It doesn't hurt and isn't tight any more but feels kind of bubbly? I don't know if it's a good or bad sign. Also making me feel very nauseous.
I don't like new symptoms, makes me more nervous!
