@Spacecadetagain are you still now fatigued plus now the sinus stuff? I’m so sorry but sending you solidarity - I also think I have some sinus congestion but doesn’t sound as bad as you yet

TheDrsWife46 · 07/04/2020 14:53

Dont read this is if chinese deaths might trigger your anxiety etc. Its small sample sizes etc but it mentions how WHO said that recovery can be six weeks or more depending on severity and how long the virus remains detectable in the body.

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/04/04/health/recovery-coronavirus-tracking-data-explainer/index.html

I found it reassuring from a recovery perspective but please dont read if you know that “news” will
Make you anxious.

Noteverything has said what I've been feeling about you too thedrswife.

I don't have cv, nobody I know has it either but I've been following this thread since no3 I think, taking it all in for if/when I get it.

The 'friends'who are saying that to you are just not worth it. How dare they make you feel like shit when you're already finding this experience to be so very traumatic. You have been so supportive to those coming along after you, with the same crippling fears and emotions you had/are still having.

You will be you again. You have survived it and it might have changed you, but not for the worse. Your life is so worthy, just ask your dd's.

Wishing you continued strength for the days ahead. Thanks

Ps I want your 🐶!!

Did anyone start off feeling like they have tonsilitis?
I've got a sore throat today, but it is literally just my left tonsil that hurts and only when I swallow. Its swollen, sore if I poke it on the outside of my neck and looks like its going how it normally does when I've got tonsilitis - my left tonsil always inflates before my right. I've suffered with it all my life, and normally wouldn't question it being that but the virus has got me all paranoid. Sad
Temp is normal btw.

Spacecadetagain · 07/04/2020 14:59

@EMichel102 Yes quite fatigued and sinuses feel quite congested . My gp said some of my symptoms couid be nicotine withdrawel as I went cold turkey nine days ago and she said congestion . Sore throat and fluey feelings weren’t unusual with that and could explain some of the symptoms on top of the viral ones

Spacecadetagain · 07/04/2020 15:00

Oh forgot to add GP said she thinks it wouldn’t be unusual to develop a secondary infection after being ill with this for a while

Pishposhpashy · 07/04/2020 15:03

Cheeseismylife

I have the exact same. One sided sore throat, feels like tonsil pain. Started today.

Lightsabre · 07/04/2020 15:31

Day 11, lumpy throat has gone but tickling in neck area - not coughing really though. Up for 30 minutes today and cooked lunch but felt breathless, a bit dizzy and tight in the back and chest afterwards so back in bed again. No temp and Sats at 98%. Just hoping I continue to improve slowly and don't develop a cough at this stage.

Calyx72 · 07/04/2020 15:43

@thedrswife46 I am rooting really hard for you too. I have read all the threads. You were probably sent to save us with your experience and your empathy and I am upset your friends aren't being nice to you. I bet they are jealous of your house and life (well done with the renovations and with getting the fog!)

I am a physio and completely get the fear that long term pain, illness, fatigue and unknown symptoms such as intermittent pins and needles can bring. Especially the weakness in legs and similar.

I feel for us all Thanks just wanted to virtual hug thedrswife46

I was swabbed this morning, nervous in case it's negative actually since I am day 9 or 11. My colleague who had the same is back at work from today but left early as exhausted. She will go back tomorrow again.

Oh I got the WORST diarrhoea ever - just awful - about an hour ago. My colleague said she had the same just as she began to improve so I am taking it as a positive

I was awake 2am to 3am with chest pain inhaling, dry mouth++ but managed to sleep later. First time I felt that and have it today too

Tearful despite not being low in mood (?!)

Hope you're all feeling better x

Hi there, I'm on day 17 of my symptoms, and I got a painful chest yesterday which hasn't gone away at all. I don't know what to do, do you think I should call 111 by now?

TheDrsWife46 · 07/04/2020 15:51

@Calyx72 fingers crossed for your swab. I think when we’ve all felt this poorly we all pray for a positive text one day that validates how we have felt. For you its harder isnt it because whilst we want you well, it would be nice to be positive and go into the world feeling invincible.

I too got diarrhoea twice, one at start and again at about day 9/10 my mum said “it’s all in your head because diarrhoea isnt even a thing!!!!”

Im desperate for a positive text result one day. I swear i’d frame a photo of it and mount it in my hall.

@EMichel102
I got relief from congestion by using the Neti Pot and salt water gargling. Simple but effective.

pinkoneblueone · 07/04/2020 16:21

I have been using my inhalers a lot to help my asthma and called asthma uk and they suggested I should have been seen yesterday even though I didn’t want to. I spoke to my GP and he told me just to keep an eye on my peak flow and reduce my salbutamol for now. The asthma uk lady was concerned about inflammation in my lungs and wanted me to be seen my doctor didn’t. I’m not actually sure what I should do.

Needsomegoodnews · 07/04/2020 16:24

@EMichel102 and @user34254356 yes, definitely still very fatigued at day 22. If I think about things though, although I still feel like I’m often not getting enough air in each breath even when just sitting around, I can actually get up, walk up and down stairs, walk around the block for 5-10mins and am ‘up’ for much of the day (it’s exactly like you said @WorriesomeDad), which I couldn’t have done in week 2. Still have occasional lightheadedness too and the breathing thing makes me anxious but it’s got to be good that overall things have improved (hasn’t it?!!).

Standrewsschool · 07/04/2020 16:25

Day 24-ish, and day 4 of almost feeling normal. However, have a really dry throat today, which normally I wouldn’t’t even be worried about, but with this bug, anything minor becomes significant. I did spend some time in the garden, weeding but had to stop as my legs were aching. Hopefully haven’t overdone it.

Yep, exactly the same @Needsomegoodnews. I’m happy to feel better and really don’t mind feeling tired, but I’d really would be an awful lot happier if the breathlessness went!

Taffyapple8 · 07/04/2020 16:44

Been having an Ok day then just attempted a meal and had diarrhoea, temperature and am now a mess and my chest is constricted. Feel like I need to burp lots

ofwarren · 07/04/2020 16:47

@coleoptera
They won't want to see you. They will order you a prescription for antibiotics over the phone and send it to your pharmacy.

ofwarren · 07/04/2020 16:50

@eyebrowsofinstagram
Chest pain seems to be a normal progression of this disease.
Have you tried gaviscon? It seems to ease it for a lot of us

pinkoneblueone · 07/04/2020 16:50

@Coleoptera you can call 111 in this case and they will most likely pop you through to a doctor and arrange your prescription by email to send it to a local pharmacy for you

Thanks @ofwarren that's made me feel a lot better- as it's easy to panic when you're all by yourself

ofwarren · 07/04/2020 16:57

@Coleoptera honestly, they are not seeing anyone. They are just prescribing them precautionary.
