I’m really interested to see peoples working arrangements now that we have ‘locked down’ and how this crisis might really affect the economy. Are you:
A) working from home and doing 80-100 percent of your job as usual
B) at home and not able to work but still being paid
C) made redundant/laid off during crisis
D) a key worker, still going out to work as usual (including teachers)
E) not a key worker but still being made to physically go into work as usual.

I'm furloughed on 80% pay along with half of my company. They've lost a lot of business so who know what the future holds.

It is very hard to see the impact on economy now. Real impact will appeared on September, October, November & December.

Lots business couldn't cope with no business or 40-50% of their usual sales for 3 or 6 months. Unless the government help, highly doubt many business can handle full pay salary/wages for all employees for half year without pay cut or lay off/redundancy. Obviously school and hospital, government job are excluded in this situation.

flowery · 29/03/2020 14:28
