I’m really interested to see peoples working arrangements now that we have ‘locked down’ and how this crisis might really affect the economy. Are you:
A) working from home and doing 80-100 percent of your job as usual
B) at home and not able to work but still being paid
C) made redundant/laid off during crisis
D) a key worker, still going out to work as usual (including teachers)
E) not a key worker but still being made to physically go into work as usual.

Absolutely no change for me as I WFH full time. I am still massively busy as usual

On maternity leave, so F? DP is NHS so on full pay, so in financial terms we're thankfully no worse off.

No office space so both DH and I are sharing our kitchen table! Fortunately kids are secondary age so this hasn't been quite so difficult for us. I'm really feeling for those who have young kids although my employer is being very supportive of those colleagues with small children.

I've never been able to WFH before - quite enjoyable so far despite not having what I need tech wise!

A doing 15 hours a day plus weekend work. Trying to save the business.

FuckThisWind · 29/03/2020 15:24

I'm a part time self employed person who can no longer do that job due to proximity to others (Sports therapist)

I'm also a part time key worker. But I am very close to being highly vulnerable (severe and recently unstable asthma) but not enough to be on the shielding list.

I am therefore in limbo at the minute. No play from self employment until the chancellors promises in June. And no desire to put myself at risk in my key worker role (supermarket) so have taken 2 weeks off. I am waiting to hear from GP this week as currently being reviewed for my asthma. Not entitled to sick pay so who knows.

Business as usual, but with grey roots.

Gammeldragz · 29/03/2020 15:26

D. DH is kind of A as his SE job is mostly from home and he is currently still able to do it, involves a bit of driving to drop off and collect things but doesn't come with 2m of customers.

A survey monkey poll would have been really interesting.

Ronnie27 · 29/03/2020 15:30

A) but also apparently a key worker so will have to go out and about if job demands although so far managing to avoid.

A. But doing about 110% of my usual workload. The time I would usually spend commuting is now work time, and then some. I'm a law firm partner so doing all of my usual client work (it's an area that is unlikely to get less busy due to Covid), plus having loads of meetings around HR matters and finances on top, and worrying about pipeline to keep my team busy and make sure their jobs are safe. Plus child education and cleaning to fit in.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 29/03/2020 15:36

D/A

Though doing some work from home maybe 30% from this week depending of staffing
