I’m really interested to see peoples working arrangements now that we have ‘locked down’ and how this crisis might really affect the economy. Are you:
A) working from home and doing 80-100 percent of your job as usual
B) at home and not able to work but still being paid
C) made redundant/laid off during crisis
D) a key worker, still going out to work as usual (including teachers)
E) not a key worker but still being made to physically go into work as usual.

F) A key worker going into work, but not doing my usual role, due to significant underlying health issues.

I don't know if we're B or C. We've been furloughed until the company can open again (car manufacturer)

Seventytwoseventythree · 29/03/2020 20:08

B but am a keyworker so would really love to get set up to WFH and be useful. I am on the list but apparently it will take weeks.

DH: A

Me: F.
I am working even though I was only given 20% of my salary for February & March, and seem unlikely to be paid again before August (hopefully will be for all of Feb-August). Due to nobody releasing (NIHR health protection) funds that were promised/allocated to pay me. I am tempted to go asparagus picking instead... At least I'd be outdoors a lot. Do people tend to pick up nits if they sleep in the pickers caravans?

D) for both of my jobs. The school one I could quite easily work from home. We have 4 pupils in and over 20 staff daily, but the heads decision is to stay open and fully staffed.
The other job is in a supermarket so I’m still working there, although hours now changed so that I have left the store by the time it opens to the public.
