Conspiracy - where is the queen?

Greybutterfly · 27/03/2020 22:18

Is it just me or has anyone else been wondering where the queen has been in all of this?

This is the biggest crisis she has faced under her reign and yet she has not appeared to offer and support, encouragement or condolences.

To me this is highly disrespectful or is there another reason she is unavailable ... is she herself suffering from the virus or could she have passed away and we are being shelved from the truth?

I do care about the Queen. But I'd rather all 93 year olds stayed safe and well at this time rather than expose themselves to any risk.

Sparklingplasters · 28/03/2020 10:19

She made a statement and has been seen. That’s enough.

playthestation · 28/03/2020 10:37

A 93 year old woman likely needs a high level of personal care, on any given day. I do not imagine that she would be capable of doing her own hair and makeup, or possibly even getting bathed and dressed.

Oh wow. Do you really think all people in their 90's need the same level of personal care Hmm

Shocking. The assumption. Lots of people that age actually live alone. Go out daily to pick up a newspaper, do their shopping. Some even go to the pub, the bingo and even dance classes. WTF

alloutoffucks · 28/03/2020 10:39

The Queen will have staff already caring for her. You really think she is sitting round in her pyjamas eating pot noodles because there are no staff who can help her? Of course staff will already be helping her. But a few individuals who will be following rules to stop them transmitting the virus to her.
If the queen is dead or too ill to do an interview then of course one will not happen.

alloutoffucks · 28/03/2020 10:43

Sadly I suspect she has died.

playthestation · 28/03/2020 10:45

Sadly I suspect she has died.

Confused
HoffiCoffi13 · 28/03/2020 10:45

Sadly I suspect she has died

🤦🏻‍♀️

It's just you. There's always one Hmm

What are YOU doing to be patriotic? Singing the national anthem as you wash your hairy hands.

Juancornetto · 28/03/2020 10:59

The last thing we need at the moment is a state funeral. The most helpful thing a 93 year old head of state can do at the moment is stay out of harm's way

@CassieAuLait and @Daffodil101 - both hilarious - thank you for the laugh!

A Spanish Princess has died of coronavirus.

Honkingallthewaytothebank · 28/03/2020 16:23

I still believe that more should be being done in this climate. A simple statement saying the queen is in good health does not cut it. There should be continuous praise for the nhs and the country as a whole

Like wheeling her out to tell us to keep calm and carry on?

Continuous praise for the country as a whole?! For what, stockpiling loo roll and suddenly getting into daily exercise in a big way now it’s restricted?

I don’t even know if this is AIBU but you most definitely are. She’s bloody 94! She’s following advice and remaining indoors!

TheMotherofAllDilemmas · 28/03/2020 16:54

A Spanish Princess has died of coronavirus.

An 86 year old princess who was a university lecturer and lived life pretty much as a commoner. Not quite the same kind of royal as the queen, who shouldn’t be incomodarse even if the country is falling to pieces.

She was pictured yesterday on the phone to Boris.
We saw her leaving BP for Windsor and Philip flying to Windsor from Sandringham to be with her.
We have been told repeatedly she is at Windsor and in good health.
She released a general message of support about 6 days ago.
She released a message praising the NHS and essential services on Thursday.

What do you want? A video of her knocking on front doors, stepping back 2m and saying politely 'Good afternoon. I was just wondering if you are all alright?'

TheMotherofAllDilemmas · 28/03/2020 17:23

Did you see the phone in the picture? How do we know if the photo is not from long ago? 😁

CassieAuLait · 28/03/2020 19:41

Boris was using an ancient phone, too. I wondered if it was for security reasons: had to be analogue, but in Homeland the CIA use mobiles for even the most sensitive calls.

TheMotherofAllDilemmas · 28/03/2020 22:48

Boris’ was just an office phone, the queen’s a relic from the past.

I had an old aunt that refused to move to touchstone phones, we kept combing the city every few yours to find a disc one every time the previous one died. They were very difficult to find even in the1990s but then the Queen may be like my aunt but have better sourcers.

TheMotherofAllDilemmas · 28/03/2020 22:49

Years not yours

playthestation · 29/03/2020 10:43

I would presume they have the simplest of phones because they still work when there is a power cut.

Pigsnduvets · 29/03/2020 10:50

she ran past my house yesterday. Twice. I called the police & dobbed her in. Proof is on Strava.....

(She’s chillaxing at home. As per government guidelines Wink)

BlackCatSleeping · 29/03/2020 10:50

I don't think extraterrestrial lizards can die. They just shapeshift.

I can't even imagine being in my 90s and still being as active as the Queen is. Charles has been busy feeding the squirrels and keeping Camilla locked up. I think Kate and Wills are organising some kind of mental health initiative.

Redwoodmaz · 29/03/2020 10:53

I think she will make an address to the nation when this situation is even worse - which it will be.
