MNHQ...Why is this thread getting removed shortly?

Serin · 27/03/2020 20:35

Why would this be removed?

2manybloodypets · 27/03/2020 20:37

You have made me cry with your lovely comments , - thank you from the bottom of my heart, my god it means so much to me that some one cares. X

SabrinaTheTeenageBitch · 27/03/2020 20:39

I have felt similar and emailed Samaritans for the first time today. I have suffered from pretty significant health anxiety for years but the way I feel in the midst of this is something else.

I've had a tight chest for a week now and had a major panic attack where I was convinced I had it. I have coughed once or twice but only when I think about it rather than my body spontaneously doing it (kind of like when you try to hold a cough in) and I'm so distressed by the feeling of not knowing if its anxiety or something starting. I don't trust myself to tell the difference anymore

I can't imagine months of wondering if Im going to die

Andorra155 · 27/03/2020 20:39

@2manybloodypets you matter! please come here and talk to us. Do you have anyone close to you to talk too? Other than all your pets Smile xx

user48675 · 27/03/2020 20:39

You are someone, hold on 2manybloodypets and keep talking (and writing/walking) whatever it takes x

Inkpaperstars · 27/03/2020 20:39

@2manybloodypets we really care, I have tears in my eyes right now too for you. Please stay with us x

Bowerbird5 · 27/03/2020 20:40

2manybloodypets You are not nothing at all. Isolate your self, read books, do some crafts, do some yoga, don't watch the news only funny programmes. Talk to the Samaritians. Speak to the GP ask for a call back from GP or nurse.
Think about your friends and family. If you have a garden go in there and start to prepare it to grow things. Gardening helps a lot of people. Lose yourself in a novel. I have read loads of books over the last few months. It helps you to switch off.
You are a unique person.

YoursTunbridgeWells · 27/03/2020 20:40

@2manybloodypets I am sorry. I nearly did this week. There' s no help where I am. Nobody is answering the phones any more .

FlissMumsnet · 27/03/2020 20:43

We hope you don't mind, but when users are feeling as you do now and are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources.
You can also go to the Samaritans website, or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

We really hope things seem brighter very soon and thanks to all for your kindness and compassion

Yes to gardening, if you have one.

HeronLanyon · 27/03/2020 20:44

beautifulteeth · 27/03/2020 20:44

2manybloodypets

You do matter and you are so
Important lovely.

Huge hugs from me to you 💕

HeronLanyon · 27/03/2020 20:46

Really good advice mn - I once sought some help from Samaritans. Was really helpful. Always like to see them recommended. Really amazing service easy to use once you are ready to pick up the phone.

sockittome123 · 27/03/2020 20:46

Another one saying "you matter", to ANYONE that needs it, whoever you are, someone cares Flowers

UYScuti · 27/03/2020 20:53

A hug from me too ((( 2manybloodypets )))
this is a tough time we all deserve help and support, that includes you!

Desperada1234 · 27/03/2020 20:59

OP, even if this thread is removed, please know that people care.

I am also contemplating (again) taking my own life because I can't live like this. I have been here before, and only RL friends, hugs, DP, cuddles, kindness etc have got me out of it.

None of these is available now. I don't live with DP so can't see him. Ditto friends. My teenagers are currently at war, because we are all in the same small space.

The Samaritans are fuck all use, because they just listen. Which is fine, if that's their remit, but no use to me.

And, MNHQ, some people post just to have a listening ear which isn't a sodding Samaritan saying "I am listening". They don't post because they want other posters to send them money or otherwise give their souls. They post because they desperately want someone to listen to them.

Roostersmum2 · 27/03/2020 21:00

Sending you a huge virtual hug 2manybloodypets

You do matter, your life is important.

Of course it doesn't feel like that when you're in the grips of depression and that's because depression clouds your ability to see clearly. Please keep talking on mumsnet and access support IRL when you can Flowers

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 27/03/2020 21:00

Poor Emily, such a waste of a lovely young life. I know many people are struggling with this right now. My thoughts go to her and her loved ones and everyone feeling alone and afraid right now.

Please know you're not alone, don't be afraid to reach out, there will be someone there, even if it's just a listening ear.

2manybloodypets you are important and you are loved.

@Desperada1234 - in Frasier's immortal words, "tossed salads and scrambled eggs." I'm not trained, I just wish you well. Please don't harm yourself.

londonrach · 27/03/2020 21:05

Sadly not the first or wont be the last. Suspect if had thoughts this way anything might have led to this but this last week has been very isolating and stressful for alot of people xxx
