Not the first sadly, an ITU nurse has ended her life out of fear at work.

Tragic.

2manybloodypets · 27/03/2020 20:13

And I'm sorry to say I'm not a nurse, I'm nothing.

Hugs, 2manybloodypets, it sounds like you're in a really hard place. Do you have anyone you can talk to?

Nogoodnickname · 27/03/2020 20:22

@2manybloodypets did you attempt this due to Coronavirus fears, MH issues or a combination of both? Either way, please seek help from your GP and further resources if possible x

FlissMumsnet · 27/03/2020 20:22

Inkpaperstars · 27/03/2020 20:27

Very sad news, absolutely tragic for their families.

Interesting that it is one person focusing on fears about isolation, and then the nurse who was in a nightmare situation caused in part by people not isolating. The only thing most of us can do right now to try and ease the nightmare for nurses and medics generally is isolate as much as possible. But then we also have to try and take care of those finding isolation a final straw when they are very mentally unwell.

MowzersAsleep · 27/03/2020 20:29

Remember you can come on MN to talk, 2manypets Flowers

ToTheWindow · 27/03/2020 20:29

So this is so sad. Unfortunately I think we will be hearing more stories like this Sad

Andorra155 · 27/03/2020 20:29

We knew of Emily, my children are at school with her siblings. So tragic. So young. She couldn't cope with the thought of being restricted and trapped and attempted to take her own life before we went in to lock down. Her life support was turned off last week. My heart is aching for her parents and siblings. Sadly there will be many more.

Inkpaperstars · 27/03/2020 20:30

@2manybloodypets so sorry you have been feeling so bad. Please done give up, you are very important. Please reach out for support here and with your GP. I saw a GP on the news just now saying that she is still there for people for with mental health problems and so are the mental health nurses. Please accept a virtual hug..((2many)).?

Inkpaperstars · 27/03/2020 20:31

Don't give up, even
