So BoJo has COVID-19!

OP posts:
MinkowskisButterfly · 27/03/2020 12:19

Hope he, and everyone else infected make a speedy recovery.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 27/03/2020 12:19

Wishing him, like everyone else infected, a speedy recovery

Same

@PatricksRum
Hahahaha

I'm no Boris fan, but what the actual fuck is wrong with some people? you

Baaaahhhhh · 27/03/2020 12:20

To all those who are saying he is lying, he doesn't have a cough etc etc

You really have not been looking, hearing, listening to evidence at all. Yes a high temperature and a cough are the two most common and concerning symptoms, but how on earth have you missed all the other "mild" symptoms, sore throat, cold, mild fever, loss of smell and taste, or actually, no bloody symptoms at all!

We have all been told to stay inside even if we have mild symptoms, just in case it is Corona, so don't expect everyone to be at deaths door ffs.

monkeytennis97 · 27/03/2020 12:20

Wishing him well of course. I can't stand his politics but don't wish ill on him.

My worry is for Dr Harries and Dr Whitty

pingbloodyping · 27/03/2020 12:20

So who takes over if he dies?

adiposegirl2 · 27/03/2020 12:20

😱 At this thread

After this pandemic is over, I'm done with MUMSNET.
You are all a bunch of hypocritical wolves in sheep clothing when I'm sure are quite unhappy with your real lives and self so you come on here to reconstruct your narratives to appear more balanced. You all spew keyboard drivel when the internet is here for you all to actually fact find the correct information and if it's not there just call/ email the correct authority/ organisation.

I'm my 15 plus years of being on here the only poster I've come across who knows what they are talking about is Flowery

I laughed at the irony, not hoping he becomes seriously ill.

The likelihood of BoJo experiences serious complications are very low due to his position as PM he will receive the best of the best care (from the medical staff the gov so clearly undervalues) and if that's not available will more then likely pay privately. You can guarantee if there were no more respirators to go around he would most definately magic one up for him and other tory members. Hmm

to total scum who gloats about this , wait until you are the one with the virus and needing medical help.

The virus we'd all have been less likely to catch and need medical help to survive if Boris hadn't been so bloody blase about it in the first place.

'Some of you will lose loved ones' as if it were nothing. Failing to secure EU help in getting a lot more ventilators. Waffling and giving vague advice.

I think people are referring more to the evidence of him being a serial liar. I hope he wouldn't stoop so low as to lie about this, but he seems a man very much lacking morals.

I'm not sure why the glee tbh. We might not like him but he's all we've got right now.

He also got you here. Let's not forget about it. Him and his herd immunity unicorn project, not stopping Cheltenham Festival, football matches and big concerts (Stereophonics and Lewis Cappaldi, anyone?) when the whole world and the WHO were thinking he's gone bananas trying to infect as many people as possible.
Let's also not forget that Mumsnet only two weeks ago looked like a cesspit of psychopaths and morons, slagging the elderly for "clogging up the NHS beds", defending the herd immunity project like it was really doable, crying for their poor shattered children whose school, parties and exams were cancelled, talking about how important it is to keep the economy running even though some people will inevitably die in the process, all praising the BoJo for his Winston Churchill attitude of keeping calm and carrying on.
All happening in the time when, I repeat again, the whole world already hit by covid were looking at the UK like they've gone mad.
I don't wish corona on anyone, I'm not gloating but I would be a hypocrite if I were sad about it.

BeijingBikini · 27/03/2020 12:22

Are people really shocked that the rich/famous get preferential treatment and can buy anything they want? That's how the world works, we don't have communism. Let's face it, Boris won't be queueing in a corridor for a ventilator in Northwick Park - he'll be tucked up in a nice private hospital if he gets worse.

Pumpkinpie1 · 27/03/2020 12:22

Sick no gloating no just exasperated because whilst we’ve been self isolating & extremely careful #Boris has been shaking hands ignoring distance guidelines FOR WEEKS !
How many has he infected?
I don’t wish this in anyone but he’s supposed to lead by example & forthought . Blaming admin errors fir the ventilatior fiasco , having to rely on volunteers to bail out his Nhs underfunding !
Whilst still planning an Easter MP recess ....,,! Shambolic

pingbloodyping · 27/03/2020 12:22

'But wanna know why on earth he like the rest of the rich and famous are getting useage of the ever elusive Coronavirus tests yet Doctors nurses and HCP are being left without essential PPE and tests..'

like him or loathe him he's in charge of the country, so yes should be tested. It's people like Prince Charles, first sign of a sniffle and he's tested - any NHS worker right now is of more practical use than PC, test them.

itsgettingweird · 27/03/2020 12:23

What was Sajids reply?

Totally agree that this bringing out the worst in people.

I'm no BoJo fan but I'm human. I hope he recovers well. I hope he rests as well as this will be a long term thing.
I also hope his partner and their child are ok.

Did laugh at at "leading by example of herd immunity" Blush

pingbloodyping · 27/03/2020 12:23

'I'm my 15 plus years of being on here the only poster I've come across who knows what they are talking about is Flowery'

get a room you two...

DroppedBoxxedRuth · 27/03/2020 12:23

FFS, he could have slowed the spread in the UK but instead he did NOTHING for too long, then did too little too late.

Can we not please now put him up on a pedestal because he's tested positive??

Srslydontgiveacrap · 27/03/2020 12:24

Why am i thinking the Queen has something to with it? Hmmmmm

Neveranynamesleft · 27/03/2020 12:24

I thought that one of the rules on here was that everyone has, and is entitled to, their own opinion. I can understand the unsupportive comments + jokes about him as he really doesn't do himself any favours by being well, who he is. Yes the government have come up with support for many at this difficult time and let's face it he's taking advice from hundreds of different angles, but we should have gone into lockdown sooner . I would never want anyone to fall sick but dont knock on my door for a paracetamol for him.

Flyinggeese · 27/03/2020 12:24

Also slightly off topic but I think there should be a rule on MN that if an OP doesn't engage with their own thread the thread should be pulled. Just screaming a headline then leaving is not helpful.

SirChing · 27/03/2020 12:24

Oh no, I hope Carrie and the baby are ok. And that Covid 19 recovers quickly from its nasty case of Boris Grin

Seriously though, I am a Labour voter and I do genuinely hope Boris is Ok. I may not like him or his politics, but I don't wish harm on the bloke. That's just horrible.

alloutoffucks · 27/03/2020 12:25

@Baaaahhhhh He says in the video his symptoms are a high temperature and a cough. I don't comment on videos without watching them.

Bigoldwimp · 27/03/2020 12:25

@RunningAwaywiththeCircus or perhaps his symptoms are milder because of it.

DowntownAbby · 27/03/2020 12:25

@cornishdreams1 I agree.

Some people on MN make it very difficult at times to remember that most people are good people.
