How will you be interpreting ‘one form of exercise a day?’

For me it will be a bike ride - keeps you at a safe distance from others.

Will not be doing any particularly dangerous form of cycling - no mountain biking or anything crazy before people start!

Our dog needs two walks a day so the three of us in my family will need to take turns in getting her out. That will be our exercise.

Xylophonics · 23/03/2020 21:12

A bike ride too. Can't run anyway so it makes sense .

HarrietOh · 23/03/2020 21:14

A walk along the beach for my lunch break as sadly I can’t run. So glad we can still do this at least.

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 23/03/2020 21:14

A full-on Olympic distance triathlon every day so I get my money’s worth.

cyclingmad · 23/03/2020 21:15

I have an indoor bike trainer but if the weather is warmer than lately and esp when clocks change I'll go out for a ride at 5am in the morning , something I usually do to avoid cars so wont be different

Heathercob · 23/03/2020 21:15

Horse riding, or on the days that I don't ride, walking to and from the stables(work).

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 23/03/2020 21:17

Well if you are wfm you can do pe with Joe Wicks. Presumably we can go into our own back gardens for a game of frisbee.

I will be matching the small people out on weekdays and running by myself at weekends.

Jungfraujoch · 23/03/2020 21:17

If you don’t have an open space near you is it acceptable to drive somewhere in the countryside? I’m thinking probably not!

LibrettoCornetto · 23/03/2020 21:17

Dog walk. Four household members will each walk the dog once per day.

june2007 · 23/03/2020 21:18

1 bike ride/jog/walk a day it,s not hard.

namechangetheworld · 23/03/2020 21:18

Waking the baby in her pram around our village. I assume this is allowed since walking a dog is.

neversleepagain · 23/03/2020 21:19

A walk around our neighborhood with my young dc, about 2/3 miles in total.

Holothane · 23/03/2020 21:19

Walk around our block of four flats.

Dollywilde · 23/03/2020 21:20

Walk, I’m pregnant and while I’ve done a couple of gentle jogs I’m not taking my chances with injuring myself or the baby at this point. Most of my exercise atm is yoga - trying to work on calming my anxiety as well as strengthening my body...

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 23/03/2020 21:20

Early morning run.

Blondiney · 23/03/2020 21:20

Three dogs. Just me and I can't manage them altogether so I'll continue to split them into two walks.

One form of exercise = walking. I'll just be performing it twice.

Tanfastic · 23/03/2020 21:21

Walking the dog round the block.

Suniscomingout · 23/03/2020 21:22

Please don't drive into the countryside for your walk.

transformandriseup · 23/03/2020 21:22

I normally take the baby out for two walks a day but now DH will do one and I'll try to make my walk a long one. We live in a small village so easy to avoid contact with others.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 23/03/2020 21:23

Walk around the block probably. Building it up to a jog to a run.

anothernotherone · 23/03/2020 21:23

I've been walking the kids in the forest since our lockdown started - we usually see a couple of people from a distance on the way there or back and haven't seen anyone in the forest. We live in the middle of nowhere and our schools have been closed for 6 school days, lockdown started at the weekend. In recent years I've wished we could move to a town but for the moment its better to be 100 meters from the forest and 5 miles from a shop....

MeanwhileAtNumber98 · 23/03/2020 21:24

I suppose we will take turns to walk the dog, there are 3 of us so it's doable.

Oly4 · 23/03/2020 21:24

A walk with my kids, probably round our enormous park area

PenguinsOnParade · 23/03/2020 21:24

Walking the dog or the walk to the shop when we need to go. I can easily not go out each day and our dogs can cope with the front garden though so it won't be every day, DD1 has offered to do one of the dog walks so she can get out for air regularly too.

MondeoFan · 23/03/2020 21:25

Walking with dog and 5 year old once a day. Will vary the times from morning or afternoon or after dinner. Change it up a bit. We will also be doing the Joe Wicks workout at 9am everyday indoors
