How will you be interpreting ‘one form of exercise a day?’

For me it will be a bike ride - keeps you at a safe distance from others.

Will not be doing any particularly dangerous form of cycling - no mountain biking or anything crazy before people start!

Decathlon for me

NuclearWinter · 23/03/2020 21:25

The dog and I will be out for as long as we can. Preferably on our own in the middle of nowhere.

Grasspigeons · 23/03/2020 21:26

A brisk 20-30 minute walk around the block with the kids. We've been doing this for years between tea and bed and its always been very quiet anyway.

biscuitlover11 · 23/03/2020 21:26

Walking to and working on the allotment. Luckily, no gates to open or anything.

Blondiney · 23/03/2020 21:28

Grin @whatkindoffuckery

Yetanotherbloominnamechange · 23/03/2020 21:28

its not hard

A decent bike ride for me is about 40 miles, and I was wondering if this would be pushing it. I suspect a lot of blokes (blokes with the proverbial ‘hobby’ Grin will be doing more though!

Walk the dog round the block with the sprog early evening, like always

Meerschweinchen1990 · 23/03/2020 21:30

I walk to and from work (I still need to go to work) so I’ll be killing two birds with one stone!

UYScuti · 23/03/2020 21:30

I will alternate biking and running

Ohffs66 · 23/03/2020 21:32

I wonder if driving a couple of miles to a desolate field in an industrial area will be allowed. Ddog is really reactive and hates lead walking so we usually take her somewhere we won't see anyone and let her off lead as we live in a built up area. I'm guessing that might not be possible now.

RaininSummer · 23/03/2020 21:32

Will walk dog and try to get into a yoga habit.

SneezyMcSneezeface · 23/03/2020 21:33

Taking it in turns to take the kids out . 1st day I take kids, DP has some exercise out on own, 2nd day I go for a run and DP takes kids for their trip out - repeat and repeat

TheSquitz · 23/03/2020 21:39

I'm a teacher and in the rota to work in Friday. I walk to & from work anyway so that will do for then. On other days, I'll get up at the normal time of 6am and do an hour's walk while the streets are quiet before WFH.

florentina1 · 23/03/2020 21:40

You can go out with members of your own family. I doubt any one will be policing how many times we walk our dogs as long as we keep apart from others. Transferring children between parents is also an essential journey as it is part of the caring for others.

CoronaIsComing · 23/03/2020 21:41

We’ll be going for an early morning bike ride along the prom. I figure on a bike you’re going quite fast and people tend to keep out of your way 😂

For at home exercise we have Joe Wicks in the morning, yoga at lunch time and I’ll continue to do Insanity in the evening. Actually I might get fitter than ever! DS (10) will also play football in the garden and go on his trampoline.

CathyandHeathcliff · 23/03/2020 21:41

Walk to the park or a walk along the canal. Or possibly up onto the moorlands with a back cattier for my DS.

CathyandHeathcliff · 23/03/2020 21:42

@Ohffs66 we’ll be doing that, finding a deserted area.

RoseGoldEagle · 23/03/2020 21:42

Walking in my village with DD at DS’s nap time to get him to go to sleep

MoonlightMistletoe · 23/03/2020 21:43

Running up and down my stairs all day.

mineofuselessinformation · 23/03/2020 21:43

Gardening for me! Fresh air and exercise, in a safe way.
That will keep me going for quite a while.
Plus, dc has a treadmill that I am using.

tldr · 23/03/2020 21:46

Walking round my neighbourhood in the dead of night (around 9pm). It’s deserted at the best of times.

But lots of walking and workouts at home too.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 23/03/2020 21:48

Running/walking the perimeter fence of the Army camp we live on. It's about 2 miles. Mostly fields so plenty of space for people to overtake (I will be accompanied by a 7&8yo whom I live with)

EmmaC78 · 23/03/2020 21:49

Running. I need to check my horse once a day anyway so was planning on running there and back.

I actually thing places will be more busy with people making sure they so there one exercise session a day.

Cinammoncake · 23/03/2020 21:50

I'd be interpreting it as if I really had to Otherwise I'll exercise indoors. When it all gets too much, a couple of times a week I might go out for a walk. It's not forever and the more everyone stays in the quicker we will eventually be able to get back to normal.

browzingss · 23/03/2020 21:52

I want to know how long you can be out of the house for or how far you’re allowed to go. Mainly because I don’t necessarily want to go to the nearest shop to my house for essentials (overpriced corner shop), I’d rather go to my nearest supermarket

I assume that there’s currently no restrictions BUT if people take the piss then stricter restrictions are incoming
