Love that article @CaveMum

Brilliant cheering stuff.

My personal cheer is that I took the car and went to an isolated wood for a walk in the sunshine, and on the way I saw a bank of flowering cherry-trees beside the road, seven or eight of them, and a forsythia hedge in full golden blossom; and in the wood the wild raspberries were starting to be in very tentative leaf. I saw two dogwalkers in the distance but otherwise it was a very peaceful, empty place.

Thanks @spudlet
Hope you’re ok @gingerbread.
Love all the spring pictures!
My DDs age 12 and 9 have begrudgingly been to school today as the children of keyworkers and it wasn’t AS bad as expected apparently. They were super hot on the distancing/ hand sanitizer quite rightly, but it made me chuckle after there being none of that last week with x50 as many kids
I’ll wave to @daffodilthatch as good to see daffodils out in force at this time of year ( I can always change to tulippasta or similar if needed Wink

Delurking to say this thread (and the past 3) has changed me from being unable to eat with anxiety and crushing feelings of impressing to casually going about my little day in the sun with my toddler today without a care in the world. The articles shared here are the only ones I will read and it’s honestly changed my whole outlook: taking the guidelines for distancing/isolation seriously but not panicking or, worse, delighting in scaremongering. Grateful for you all!

BatCountry · 23/03/2020 20:22

Crushing Feelings of impending doom* That should say. Can you tell I haven’t logged in to post in over 2 years....

Evening all

Had a lovely day with ds, we did a big rainbow picture for the window. Our rainbow has sunglasses on!

Hi guys, please talk me down. My son tonight was coughing a bit more than usual, thought it was just a dry throat but took his temp anyway. 37.8 in 1 ear and 38.2 in another. Sent him up to put pajamas on and took it again about 5 mins later and was 37.3. I've given him some Calpol, opened the window and he's now in bed. Said he felt a bit headachey. He very rarely gets ill but I'm referring on the edge. How am I going to sleep tonight? I'm 30 weeks pregnant and meant to have a consultant appt and gestational diabetes session at the hospital tomorrow. I'm so scared for him. Please be kind and reassure me

Thank you for the new thread!

I set up CBT today. It'll be over video but that's fine. I cried a lot during the assessment but I'm glad I phoned.

Bloodybackpain · 23/03/2020 20:57

@Layladylay234 so sorry to hear this, how old is your son? Do you have a partner to help care for him?

Layladylay234 · 23/03/2020 20:58

@Bloodybackpain He's ten. My partner is here but he thinks I'm overreacting,I can see it in his face. He doesn't see any point in worrying. But how can I not.

Bloodybackpain · 23/03/2020 20:59

Big deep breaths after tonight’s announcement.
My ds and I are watching a bit of Cheer on Netflix every night curled up in bed - it was definitely the best way to read BJs announcement tonight on live updates whilst Texan cheerleaders bouncing around on screen!

Mrsorganmorgan · 23/03/2020 21:01
