We aren't going to lockdown tonight.

Stop scaremongering.

Maybe at the end of the week or next week. I reckon 10 days. But not tonight.

Even still, you can still go to the supermarket, pharmacy and walk the dog.

Stop scaremongering!!!! You're sending people's anxiety through the roof!

stoptherideiwanttogetoff · 23/03/2020 23:01

Well OP that backfired didn't it!

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 23/03/2020 23:01

I dont know how anyone can have watched what is happening in other countries over the last 3 months and not realise the same thing would happen to us

Mittens030869 · 23/03/2020 23:09

*Well this aged well.

Anything to say OP?*

The OP won't come back. They never do! The 'it's only flu' brigade have never admitted that they were wrong, have they? They've just gone quiet.

Stressheadme123 · 23/03/2020 23:17

This is hilarious.

Refund your crystal ball got me

Smellbellina · 23/03/2020 23:25

Mittens is right, they don’t tend to come back. There was another post last week from someone asking people to explain what all the fuss was about, didn’t come back after BJ closed the schools, was a long term poster I recognised too

StressoeZoe · 23/03/2020 23:28

That's very unfair to the OP who did come back and gamely admitted she was wrong. It's not that hard to click on show all messages and see the OP's posts which show highlighted.

Sostenueto · 23/03/2020 23:28

Thank you totallyfucked and same to youFlowers

Splitsunrise · 23/03/2020 23:28

This aged well Grin cheered me up though!

Smellbellina · 23/03/2020 23:32

OP’s posts aren’t highlighted on mine, expect it might be the same for others

@Smellbellina ???

I thought this was a default settting. I never set it on mine. You can change your preferences in the Talk preferences that allows you to set the colour of the OPs posts and your own posts. It's one of the reasons people will say 'name change fail' because if an OP changes their name mid thread, it will still show they are the OP as their posts are highlighted.

Yes

Smellbellina · 23/03/2020 23:56

Thanks @StressoeZoe I tried the link as it’s a pet hate that I can’t easily identify the OPs posts, unfortunately it didn’t give me the option. Used to have it, don’t know where it went!

LEELULUMPKIN · 24/03/2020 00:00

Bet Mystic Meg is quaking in her boots with OP for competition.

Abracad · 24/03/2020 00:06

Awkward OP.

Perhaps this will shut up the posters who have sought to minimise this situation on repeat.*

  • I know it won’t. But I can hope! Grin
Mittens030869 · 24/03/2020 00:08

Confession: I missed the OP's posts admitting that she'd been wrong so, if you're reading this still, OP, I apologise. Blush

Spidey66 · 24/03/2020 00:08

I keep expecting to wake up and say to my husband "I had a horrible dream last night. There was a virus sweeping across the world and we weren't allowed to leave our homes because of it and there was no food in the shops." But it's not a nightmare, this is our reality for the foreseeable future.

Mittens030869 · 24/03/2020 00:10

It feels as if I'm in the middle of a thriller, though if that were the case, it would have been an example of germ warfare, like in one episode of Foyle's War.

TealWater · 24/03/2020 05:40

For those who think only people with 'underlying illnesses' contract and die from it, here is a young and otherwise (previously) fit and healthy male Dr on his deathbed from Coronavirus. RIP

WARRIOR IS A ONE WHO DIES ON THE BATTLEFIELD..!!

Dr Usama Riaz, contracted virus while treating patients, emphasizes severity of this virus. He bravely fought against corona & left a message for all of us. His last words...

I've been on 'lockdown' for a few weeks, some of us are vulnerable in our circumstances. Yet people have been out flagrantly congregating like Muppets. Now we have nurses and doctors dying on the front line. Recently - healthy 36yr old woman on a ventilator because she contracted the virus at work, she's a nurse treating patients. Why did it happen you may ask? Because people couldn't be bothered to stay the at home when politely asked.

Some of us don't and have never had the option of keep calm and carry on.

Sostenueto · 24/03/2020 08:29

For all those on here worried about joint custody or orders for contact with children Micheal Give has just confirmed that all arrangements can continue after correcting his first statement so any arrangements with x partners as regards contact with children can continue.

Sostenueto · 24/03/2020 08:30

*Gove

Feefee345 · 24/03/2020 08:57

Wow... tubes are rammed this morning!!!!

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 24/03/2020 11:47

If it’s any consolation OP, I’d say you’re the first person to actually start the lockdown threads discussing the actual lockdown. Grin

BuyingaHome · 24/03/2020 19:19

I got it wrong - fair enough. Day 14 of lockdown for us anyway...

Pretty surprised at some of the responses on here - especially to the person who threatened me. What is wrong with you? No need at all.

Hope you're all staying safe inside!
