There's speculation that he will implement a full lockdown.

How will this differ from what we're doing now?

Serious Sitting-Down Johnson reading from Autocue. Lots of self-justification and more pleas to ask people to be sensible.

Don't think this bunch of fools have any idea how difficult this is going to be to enforce on the council estates where the young will gather outside rather than be cooped up in tiny flats.

BuckingFrolics · 23/03/2020 20:36

Poor sodding police. Having to mingle with selfish fools to break up gatherings.

GabsAlot · 23/03/2020 20:36

so its immediate?

Ondalay · 23/03/2020 20:37

It's not the council estate kids. It's Mary and Horatio from Hertfordshire who feel it's their god given right to wander around Waitrose after a leisurely stroll in a stately home.

GabsAlot · 23/03/2020 20:37

shit from tonight

Dickorydockwhatthe · 23/03/2020 20:37

Thats what I worry about is the police maybe that's why he held back.

Ondalay · 23/03/2020 20:38

Happy enough with it. Doesn't bother me as that's what I've been doing anyway.

Apolloanddaphne · 23/03/2020 20:38

Well we are all in lockdown now.

chomalungma · 23/03/2020 20:38

Separated parents?

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 23/03/2020 20:38

Oooh. Does it mean no post deliveries?

TheLadyAnneNeville · 23/03/2020 20:39

That’s more like it. He actually IS a Prime Minister, then.

thenightsky · 23/03/2020 20:39

Happy enough with it. Doesn't bother me as that's what I've been doing anyway

Yep, me too.

StillDumDeDumming · 23/03/2020 20:40

Anything about visiting hospitals- can’t bear to look my dp has had a brain haemorrhage

YgritteSnow · 23/03/2020 20:40

I'm sorry but people are still going to take the piss. Parks still open and one outing a day, people will push the boundary of that and stay out for hours. It's not going to make any difference at all.

Pickles89 · 23/03/2020 20:40

I only caught it from the 'we'll reassess in 3 weeks' bit - what's the actual lowdown please?

Ondalay · 23/03/2020 20:40

It's not lockdown thank God.

Justaboy · 23/03/2020 20:40

I bet you what you like the Army wil lbe used now, won't be long!

Jellykat · 23/03/2020 20:40

Does that mean the bastard holiday makers/ second home owners that have bled our supermarket dry over the weekend, can't fucking go home now?

HeIenaDove · 23/03/2020 20:40

Better make sure the council estates have electric then.

Mockerswithnoknockers · 23/03/2020 20:41

There is space in the leafy suburbs. Anyone who doesn't come from an area of high density occupation has no idea. The big kids are off school. They will gather. They will play silly buggers with the police.

Iwantacookie · 23/03/2020 20:41

Does that mean I'm still allowed to go collect lunch from the school?
Some people still wont get it

SouthWestmom · 23/03/2020 20:41

Go out for exercise once a day
Go to work if essential
Medical care or appointments
Care for a relative
Shopping for food and medicine

Chocolateteabag · 23/03/2020 20:41

@StillDumDeDumming - he said you could leave home for a medical need or care for vulnerable people - not sure if that means you can

supercee · 23/03/2020 20:41

Finally. Happy (for want of a better word) with that. Special shout out to those who interpreted go out only for essential supplies/brief exercise to mean let's grab the fam and head to a popular beach/y hotspot with a picnic.

LochJessMonster · 23/03/2020 20:42

Does the ‘one form of exercise a day’ include walking the dog? So I can only go out once a day with him, and then no other exercise?
