Going for food ok

Going for a walk in the park - it's not a bloody necessity so it's not ok.

Going to beach- once again not a necessity

Meeting up with friends- no you could kill them or those vulnerable people connected to them- stay home you idiots!

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 23/03/2020 17:30

No, you could go to the park if you keep your distance, we're not on lockdown yet.

But you cannot keep it, because there aren't enough green spaces.

We need more parks!

Falangalangadingdang · 23/03/2020 18:10

We need more parks!

Or you could just suck it up for a while and realise that nipping to the park is not necessary, AT ALL.

But you bring planning and development in to the argument when it's about survival of not only human lives but the nhs too.

BodiesMakeForGoodFertiliser · 23/03/2020 18:48

Well if the predictions are true, we won't have to worry about people nipping anywhere unless work or necessary shops very soon.
Fingers crossed

TabbyMumz · 23/03/2020 18:49

"@TabbyMumzyou f** idiot.

I'm just going to call people out now."

For what? Following the rules?
And what do you mean "call people out".

BodiesMakeForGoodFertiliser · 23/03/2020 19:01

If the "statement for the country" includes Italian style quarantine, remember you all who couldn't understand simple stay at home and just had to have that trip, that it's your fault.

BodiesMakeForGoodFertiliser · 23/03/2020 19:04

Oh. And Dubai airport is shutting down.
Dubai...

This is a very shortsighted argument. This epidemic will be over, but to prevent new ones we need to examine how we live, Living stuffed like sardines helps viruses spread.

And what's the NHS have to do with it? Do you think they will be against green spaces and parks? Why do we have to suck it up for the sake of greedy developers and inadequate councils?

Look ahead, think how we can make things better in the future.

BodiesMakeForGoodFertiliser · 23/03/2020 20:09

Living stuffed like sardines helps viruses spread.

As good point as this is, there will be time and place for that.

Btw this is also why the bog bug hotels are actually quite a disaster. Cute, fun for kids, bit disaster for the bugs apparently.

Roussette · 23/03/2020 20:13

Yes, planners need to rethink, but at this moment in time it's irrelevant because we have to cope with what we've got. No thinking ahead here, it's a day by day social isolation.

And the trouble is... people like HelgaHelga won't take a blind bit of notice of people on a forum saying she's selfish. She wanted to see her adult children whatever and nothing we can say will change her mind. It will take a shock wake up call for all the selfish people to think again.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 23/03/2020 20:14

OK, so when this is over, I'll post and I'll ask for your help with writing to MPs and councils.

BodiesMakeForGoodFertiliser · 23/03/2020 20:21

@ChardonnaysPetDragon do!

Roussette · 23/03/2020 20:37

Fine. I've written to my MP about issues I feel are important before so I'm up for that

Theyrecomingtotakemeawayhaha · 23/03/2020 21:35

We'll see in 7-14 days time how much damage this weekend has caused. And this lockdown and I bet there are some who don't understand that either.
