Anyone know what time to expect it today? Is Boris doing it today?

I see the BBC have a Coronavirus daily special 4.10-5.40pm today so presuming it will be then?

Do you think we'll have any announcements today? I'm hoping there are more lockdown measures announced. I think it's time to shut non essential shops and enforce social distancing.

I'm feeling quite anxious and not at all sure what I would consider "good news"

Me too. Sad

All the journalists are finally taking there seats ans I'm hoping and praying boris makes an appearance today, and I agree with a pp there should be some bullet points with the information as he can confuse matters with his ummin and aring then handing over the question to someone else.

covetingthepreciousthings · 22/03/2020 17:03

Should be any minute now...

Part of me wonders if it's just going to be a conference about the 1.5million NHS letters that are going out to people.

DoubleAction · 22/03/2020 17:07

I think that's what I'm expecting OP. And TBH more vigorous enforcement of that is a big step. Still loads of older people out and about and companies insisting that their vulnerable staff must be at work.

Mixitupalot · 22/03/2020 17:07

Still no sign off Bojo, this better be a bold move.

covetingthepreciousthings · 22/03/2020 17:08

this better be a bold move.

You'd hope so with this delay!

covetingthepreciousthings · 22/03/2020 17:10

Here we go..

OP posts:
covetingthepreciousthings · 22/03/2020 17:13

Oh think it might just be about the shielding and the letters.. I'm really nervous that there isn't going to be any lockdown now.

OP posts:
MidsummerMeadow · 22/03/2020 17:14

FFS more of the same. We are fucked.

VivaLeBeaver · 22/03/2020 17:14

Yes, looks like it’s just about shielding.

covetingthepreciousthings · 22/03/2020 17:14

I'm hoping he's going to ramble on to the point...

OP posts:
RedDiamond · 22/03/2020 17:15

No lockdown then Hmm and Boris supporting going out but please remember to stay 2 metres apart. Oh boy...

SouthWestmom · 22/03/2020 17:17

more of the same . People will just carry on

covetingthepreciousthings · 22/03/2020 17:17

Sad I'm so upset that there doesn't seem to be any stronger measures

OP posts:
SouthWestmom · 22/03/2020 17:17

What are they doing to help the homeless? I've heard nothing at all.

SouthWestmom · 22/03/2020 17:18

He should have condemned the ridiculous images over the weekend

EstuaryBird · 22/03/2020 17:18

Congratulating people on how well they’re doing!! Does he not read the papers or look at social media at all???

covetingthepreciousthings · 22/03/2020 17:19

He should have condemned the ridiculous images over the weekend

Exactly Sad

OP posts:
RedDiamond · 22/03/2020 17:19

But no shielding for those with high blood pressure. Why is this?

SouthWestmom · 22/03/2020 17:19

Some pub in Canterbury had crowds of people sat outside its 'takeaway' business and loads of last drink photos

NordSjoen · 22/03/2020 17:20

As usual, totally unclear and rambling. No comparison to the excellent, trenchant and crystal clear Nicola Sturgeon. Or even the slightly blustery Rishi Sunak “it’s on all of us”.

Whoever is writing Johnson’s speeches needs a fucking lesson in brevity and clarity.

Absolutely nothing new said. FFS.

sociallydistained · 22/03/2020 17:20

So far not pleased ...

nellodee · 22/03/2020 17:20

This is still the fucking herd immunity plan.

Bastards.

SouthWestmom · 22/03/2020 17:20

Oh fuck off with this waffle
