Hi all, new thread as we'd neared the end of the other.

I thought it might be useful to list symptoms we are having / have had:

Day 1 - Diarrhea (mild), slight aches and pains
Day 2 - Flu like symptons, achey joints, fatigue, chills, slight cough, slight chest discomfort, upper back ache
Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back
Day 9 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing
Day 10 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing, sore boobs
Day 11 - No fever, felt a bit better, mild chest ache, slight cough
Day 12 - today, exhausted, no fever, chest easing

It's day 12 for me btw.

tangledyarn · 23/03/2020 08:44

@user I'd say about day 17 ish. I'm ok, struggling but getting better, have a lot of chest pain, breathlessness and just generally feel fluey. Am mostly in bed but been managing to get up for a bit now..but if I try to do anything more than sitting I start to feel terrible..hot, sore throat, chest pain gets worse so am just resting, but not feeling how I did a few days ago. Hope you feel better soon X

KayakingOnDown · 23/03/2020 08:52

Day 7 of chest pain. Day ? of Covid? It seems so long ago since the tickly cough started. I still have a tickly cough from time to time but it is the kind of cough I would think nothing of in normal times.

Chest pain, shortness of breath - these are the worrying symptoms for me.

tempestterra · 23/03/2020 08:56

Day 6 for me. Not too bad yesterday, but then in the evening felt I had a hippopotamus sitting on my chest with sharp dagger pains in my rib cage. It was so painful but I found getting up and walking around eased it.

I've got thrush of my tongue which started yesterday, and despite regular bushing, the forest of fungus doesn't want to move.

Pain behind my shoulder blade, and still have diarrhoea but not feeling as sick as I was.

squashedfliebiscuits how are you doing?

Meercatmama · 23/03/2020 09:00

Day 8 for me woke up feeling ok but again have got diarrhoea Put it down to actually eating something last night. Then read the article in the Daily mail and freaked out. Trying to take one day at a time and not panic

tempestterra · 23/03/2020 09:00

kingaroo I agree re NHS not up dating symptoms, but I'm guessing they get their info from public health England. As all the official UK website info seem to come from PHE, which doesn't seem to be looking at info from other countries. Someone linked a very good US study on the previous thread, which was much more up to date and helpful.

DandyPenguin · 23/03/2020 09:02

Thanks @user34254356 I would say that’s good to know but ...!!

Did you have a temperature at all then or do you know?

@KingaRoo this is what gets me, there’s a range of symptoms and - disclaimer klaxon: not tested! - if we indeed do have covid then we’re proof that within a certain collection of symptoms there’s a big range of which ones, for how long and in what order.

tempestterra · 23/03/2020 09:04

meercat I've found the best thing is to not read any newspapers or watch any news reportsGrin
As Noel Coward once said "where ignorance is bliss tis folly to be wise" . I was aware that days 5-8 tend to be the most unpleasant though. So looking forward to getting to day 9!

DandyPenguin · 23/03/2020 09:05

Days 5-8 tend to be the most unpleasant? Oh goody.

tempestterra · 23/03/2020 09:07

Sorry dandy CakeBrew

tempestterra · 23/03/2020 09:09

And I'm only going on what I've read, so it may be wrong but seems to follows what jerseygayle wrote up thread

DandyPenguin · 23/03/2020 09:11

Oh no it’s ok! We’re you hungry on day 5?

DandyPenguin · 23/03/2020 09:12

Or rather day 4. I was ravenous yesterday.

And did you have a temperature?

My chest compression is certainly worse this morning

DandyPenguin · 23/03/2020 09:20

I'm waking up in the morning with bright red fever cheeks, feeling shitty; breathless, wobbly and dizzy, then feeling much better after breakfast. Then ok all day until about 2pm, then knackered. Then in the evening a resurgence of the bright red cheeks, hot face, wheeziness, cold chills

@Cailleach this is interesting to me as I’m wondering if my 10 year old DS had a mild form of the same virus (be it covid or not) the other week. Not the one just gone, the one before that.

He had a bright red cheek, but only on one side of his face, that came and went throughout the day. Slight fever for 1.5 days. Felt weak and un well. Only lasted 3 days. What was odd is that he - sorry for detail - had green stools the night before his flushed face for the first time ever.

tempestterra · 23/03/2020 09:21

Had a temp up until yesterday (day 5>
Was really hungry on day 4, but if this is CV (and not had diagnosis) then it's gone for my digestive track, as have foul bowel, so although I was hungry I ate a very small amount and felt very sick. I'm now just eating a small amount of fruit each day, and keeping fluids up. After day 9 I plan to eat a bit moreSmile

Mummyoflittledragon · 23/03/2020 09:25

Day 8 for me. Felt a lot better day 6. But yesterday I felt shit. Today not much better. Been nebulsing saline since day 2 and so far it has really helped. No bronchitis, sinusitis etc. Got the ventolin inhaler out yesterday because I was getting pretty confused - I imagine low oxygen - and I was thinking I was on the edge of needing hospital and finally remembered I could try ventolin first.... Couldn’t remember how to use a salt mill for example yesterday afternoon. I’ve hardly slept as it causes insomnia for me. But on the upside I can breathe.

122now · 23/03/2020 09:43

Just to update, no phone call yet on swab results. Had a very high temp last night, took paracetamol again and continued with lots of fluids. Woke at 2am completely saturated and a feeling that the virus had left my body. I am not breathless, aching feeling is gone and better on my feet. I have strength back in my voice too. This is day 18 for me, I'm so glad I have been isolating. Will let you all know when I get the phone call, but basically it's not pleasant but it will pass girls. As I've said in previous posts, water, water & more water. I drank 4 litres some days, minimum of 3 litres and have a good stock of paracetamol and you will all be fine xxxx

SquashedFlyBiscuit · 23/03/2020 09:55

Day 18. God.

longshot · 23/03/2020 10:10

@122now did you have pains in your back / lung area after the ‘worst bit’ far days 6-8? I’m on day 13 and they have come back. I have pains under my shoulder blade and radiating a bit to my arm. I think maybe it’s pleurisy? I’ve never had that of course...

Breathing is ok but I do not feel right. Also jelly legs but otherwise not too bad Wondering whether anyone else has been like this at this stage? Don’t know whether to call the Dr again.

@122now really glad you’re are feeling better even if it has taken 18 days!! Shock

tangledyarn · 23/03/2020 10:15

@longshot yep day 17 and still a lot of pain, chest tightness and breathlessness.and just feel well quite unwell I guess..as in mostly in bed...its the gift that keeps giving!

SchrodingersKitty · 23/03/2020 11:01

Day 13 and I felt better on getting up and for first hour or so after. Just coughing. Having spent the morning trying to work now feel considerably worse - sick and dizzy and more lung pains. I might have to stop for a few hours and accept that my students may not get their lecture in time.

longshot · 23/03/2020 11:08

@schrodingersKitty I have been the same! Fine for first hour, thought i was really recovering, now lying on sofa again!!! Arggghhhh. I have called work and been told not to work today and recover. Thankfully I have a very supportive team.

GrapefruitsAreNotTheOnlyFruit · 23/03/2020 11:09

Day 11 for me. The nights seem to be the worst for me. When I fall asleep I suddenly wake feeling like I am gasping for air. Then when I woke this morning I felt weak and nauseous. Feeling slightly better now but very anxious. I phoned 101 and I spoke to someone who just asked if I had a cough and when I said no said I sounded fine and should keep drinking water. I am exhausted but scared of going to sleep.

Abelino · 23/03/2020 11:14

Last night while watching tv I had 3-4 instances of a sharp stabbing pain on my sternum, quite high up. They went away quickly.

This morning the same area feels very bruised, heavy and achey, but there's no visible bruise.

I have a slight cough but no other symptoms (I don't have a thermometer, but I don't feel feverish). As a result I doubt it's Coronavirus but I suppose it could be something else that needs attention, but I know my GP will be run ragged with phone appointments so not sure what to do.
