Hi all, new thread as we'd neared the end of the other.

I thought it might be useful to list symptoms we are having / have had:

Day 1 - Diarrhea (mild), slight aches and pains
Day 2 - Flu like symptons, achey joints, fatigue, chills, slight cough, slight chest discomfort, upper back ache
Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back
Day 9 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing
Day 10 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing, sore boobs
Day 11 - No fever, felt a bit better, mild chest ache, slight cough
Day 12 - today, exhausted, no fever, chest easing

Disclaimer: I have NOT been tested, just been told by a 111 doctor I probably have Covid-19

@122now yes definitely to the intermittent-ness! At times I think Dr was wrong and I can’t possibly have it - then I get hit by chest pain and overwhelming feeling of exhaustion.

I’d really like to be tested to know one way or other, and to be able to say definitively to those I was in contact with before I fell ill that they need to self-isolate.

Littleninja1 · 22/03/2020 20:44

Thanks for starting this thread @longshot Update on my symptoms. Very similar to others. Am on day 10/11 now. Yesterday started ok, significantly less pain in chest than on the Friday when I went to a&e. But got bad again around 12noon. Managed to sit in a chair and read for a couple hours then back to bed. Slept really deeply.

This morning I felt horrendous. Possibly the worst so far. Shaking, fever, chest pain, minor cough. Still getting lots of sinus type pain like headaches and jaw aches. Diarrhea still on and off. Too tired to move or talk or think.

Napped for a few hours and felt much better. Now taking paracetamol religiously every four hours. Was rationing before but our friend found some lemsip in a shop so have more supply now - hurray!

For those who haven't read the other thread - I haven't been tested but the a&e doc diagnosed me with covid on Friday when I went in with breathing problems.

Anyone saying it could be a regular flu or virus - trust me it feels totally different. It behaves different. It may sound similar symptoms but it doesn't feel similar to flu and I have no cold symptoms (nose is only part of me that doesn't hurt!).

Get well everyone Flowers

ShastaBeast · 22/03/2020 20:47

I thought it was anxiety too. Until others in the family started coughing. I think some chest pain is anxiety- the same as I had in GCSE maths lessons.

My symptoms, breathing and feeling ill are intermittent.

Littleninja1 · 22/03/2020 20:48

@122now thanks for letting us know you are being tested. Will be so helpful to get the result. And thank you for everything you are doing to help at this time Smile

Mummyoflittledragon · 22/03/2020 20:49

Casino
All new cases are from frontline staff or people admitted to hospital. There is no other testing happening. This policy of no testing may change as of next week. The government has not announced anything different but 111 said to keep an ear to the ground...

Mummyoflittledragon · 22/03/2020 20:51

122 Flowers. Good luck! I want mine to be coronavirus purely to get it over and done with, not that I’m testing. I’m hoping yours isn’t so that you’re safe.

122now · 22/03/2020 20:57

Thank you girls, I will let you know, and if I have it, I will get through it. The key is regular paracetamol (4-6 hourly) & water, water, water. Do not let yourselves get dehydrated. Rest is also a huge factor so get plenty. Try not worry and focus on the high figures of recovery since this started x

GinJeanie · 22/03/2020 21:01

@Bringringbring12
Why are you on this thread again?

AnaphylacticAnnabelle · 22/03/2020 21:09

This upper back pain several people are mentioning- does it feel like burning and cross the shoulders? Periodically hurting elsewhere in the chest, also the neck?
A bit like muscle tension but running deeper?

Sunshine1239 · 22/03/2020 21:25

I posted few times earlier in week - to update My chest pain/burning went suddenly (I mean instantly) after 2 weeks and although I’m still coughing a lot, I now feel great 👍

JollyHostess · 22/03/2020 21:34

I posted a few days back. I've mainly had chills and body ache, exhaustion, feeling really unwell.
No cough but today my lungs feel sore and my chest feels a bit heavy.
So might not be CV but I have not felt this unwell in years and it has progressed slowly, in recent years if I pick up a bug it's gone in a day or two. I think I'm on day 6 or 7.

Sunshine1239 · 22/03/2020 21:36

Mine was like that Jolley slow for a good week, then bad for four days and now ok

Whatisthis4 · 22/03/2020 21:37

Has anyone had this without the cough? Over last 2/3 weeks I've had most symptoms (random chest pain, back ache, cold/winter night outside in smoking area lungs for a short time, shortness of breath, weird disembodied and weak limb feeling, dizzy when walking, fast heart and buzzing body feeling, brief spiked temperature, very persistent sore throat, shivers, banging unending headache, vacant brain) - except a cough.

JollyHostess · 22/03/2020 21:43

That's good to hear, @Sunshine1239, I'm glad you're feeling a bit better now

stayathomegardener · 22/03/2020 21:48

@122now Thanks you are all amazing.

Thanks for the upbeat post, off for more water!

abitlostandalwayshungry · 22/03/2020 21:48

@Whatisthis4 same here.
first sore throat, ear pain and light fever,
back to normal for a day, then sore throat again.
then headaches and extremely tiered - convinced myself it cant be CV as no coughing, but since 5 days my lungs hurt - like i did run on a cold winter day with a cold. its horrible.
we cant get paracetamol anywhere as its sold out all around us, so relying on herbal tees.

at what point do ppl call 111 ?

SpillTheTeaa · 22/03/2020 21:49

I'm not sure if I had it but in early January I had what I thought could of been a chest infection although felt a bit different.
I started to feel really run down and had aches and pains and the start of a cold.
Second day in I had a cough but my lungs felt awful. Felt a heavy sensation in my chest and was breathless a few times. Very tired a lot and very cold then very hot.
Also had a bad back with it which I don't suffer from but constantly tired.
My lungs literally did feel like they were on fire with every breathe. Had a blocked nose which turned into a runny nose and a sore throat and eventually lost my throat. After about 10 days I started to feel a bit better but just put it down to a chest infection.
I didn't see anyone about it but now has me thinking if it was actually something else!

ShastaBeast · 22/03/2020 21:49

Is anyone coming out of isolation? I’m going to do it tomorrow. No fever just sore chest and cough with asthma flare up.

Need to pop to the pharmacy and might ask about when the chest burning will stop. I can’t anywhere else as it’s so new. I’ll ask if they know of other local suspected cases. I’m picking up ventolin and hopefully lansoprazole for the heartburn.

SpillTheTeaa · 22/03/2020 21:50

I meant lost my voice not throat Blush

Spacecadetagain · 22/03/2020 21:51

Can I join ? I woke up feeling a bit iffy a week last Thursday .. had really sore chest muscles and weird sharp pains. Friday woke up feeling flushed but thought nothing of it until later in the day when I decided to take my temp . It was 38 . Git it down with paracetamol and felt fine by Friday Eve.
Woke feeling a bit “off” on Saturday but temp was normal . Same on Sunday
Woke on Monday feeling groggy like I was definitely coming down with something . Checked temp and it was 37.7 .chest felt a bit tight and felt like I couldn’t quite get a deep breath .
Tuesday had diarrhoea in the morning and temp again fluctuated between 37.2 and 37.9 all day .
Same on weds
Thursday woke feeling ok but after an hour or so noticed I had a bit of a cough but nothing major . Temp up to 37.9 again and even with paracetamol didn’t come down below 37.7 . Also I started shaking really badly . Never had anything like it before . Just couldn’t stop shaking all day and felt frozen .
Friday woke feeling quite crappy .. cough again nothing to write joke about but chest felt like it had an elephant on it and all my ribs felt really sore . Temp 37.9 but after a few hours cane down to normal and by Friday evening I felt fine .
Woke yesterday feeling like my rib cage had been trampled all over . Really sore right chest .. back hurting and nose stuffy . Temp went up to 38 and I felt really poorly by evening then by the time I went to bed I felt fine
This morning felt perfectly normal . Temp 36.9 . No soreness or aches but as day wore on .. rib cage sore again and nose stuffy with raw feeling throat and temp back up to 37.6 .
It’s like nothing Ive ever had before and feeling scared at reports of @turns for the worse “ from day ten 🥺

pinkoneblueone · 22/03/2020 21:52

I wouldn't leave isolation, my chest burning has returned with the back pain I am day 11/12

ShastaBeast · 22/03/2020 21:53

Sunshine123 good to hear two weeks as it’s not far off from when my sore throat & tiredness started. I just want it to be over so I’m not worrying about deteriorating.

ShastaBeast · 22/03/2020 21:55

I’m a week off the chest burning so fine to leave, more like 10/11 days overall. NHS only gives a week off for workers so they don’t have much choice.

Roostersmum2 · 22/03/2020 22:04

@Alez I'm almost certain I have oral thrush. I have a horrible metallic taste in my mouth which I've had for three days. My tongue looks a bit off colour and I have two areas of slight soreness on the inside of my cheeks. I've never had this before now, if that's what it is of course. Weird.

I've been googling around for the past 10 minutes wondering what has caused it.

Coincidently, I also have some potential cv symptoms.

VivaLeBeaver · 22/03/2020 22:07

I’m now coughing more often but still not a lot. Maybe 3 or 4 x an hour. Can’t take a deep breath. Shoulder blade pain still there. And diahorrhea.
