Hi all, new thread as we'd neared the end of the other.

I thought it might be useful to list symptoms we are having / have had:

Day 1 - Diarrhea (mild), slight aches and pains
Day 2 - Flu like symptons, achey joints, fatigue, chills, slight cough, slight chest discomfort, upper back ache
Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back
Day 9 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing
Day 10 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing, sore boobs
Day 11 - No fever, felt a bit better, mild chest ache, slight cough
Day 12 - today, exhausted, no fever, chest easing

37.5+ is a fever. I am around day 11/12 and have developed a cough and runny nose and a bit of diarrhoea but it could be I'm losing weight as I am having to make myself eat. I also have a fast heart when I move and am very thirsty. The last time I was on the other thread I took a huge panic attack and had to have an ambulance out as I was worried I was having a heart attack. I am asthmatic and have been so worried. I am aware this is causing my symptoms to feel worse and my heart rate to speed up. I am roughly around the same stage as OP is.

I said about having the same feeling in chest and lungs for a few weeks. Started 8th March.

Yesterday I started a temp above 38°. Just a temp. Very tired and achy and slept most of today.

But my lungs feel better?

I only started isolating yesterday when I had a high fever suddenly appear with a bright red face.

But I started with upper chest tightness and pulling across bra line and painful breasts 2 weeks ago. I didn't know then this was a symptom others have described.

Nothing was saying CV.

I was very conscious of my breathing during this time and although I could take full lung breaths it felt like my body was forcing me too rather than natural iyswim?

Was getting out of breath quicker than I usually would.

But the interesting thing is that having started a fever yesterday and having slept most of today the chest symptoms seemed to have eased massively. Before it was noticeable but now I'm ill it's not Confused

In fact - I literally just seem to have a fever over 38°.

None if us will get an actual diagnosis unless hospitalised.

Day 9 here for me, had a terrible night's sleep due to fever. Have been feeling better all day though I woke up with a very definate cough. My work asked me to complete the 111 online questionnaire this morning and I now have an official 7 day isolation note. I should've been isolated a week ago when my tight chest started but my work ridiculed me and made me feel like I was over reacting.

In the last hour the cough has worsened, it's unlike any cough I've ever ever had before. So dry and hollow, when I cough, one of my lungs 'pops'. I don't feel fluey today at all though.

TheWooisStrong · 22/03/2020 18:27

Urgh. Day 12(?) if counting from mild sore throat/diarrhoea symptoms. Or day 5 from the hideous fluey ones.
I’ve just started with an occasional dry cough and sore throat deep down.
Also tense in shoulders but I think that’s from being in my phone too much.

itsgettingweird · 22/03/2020 18:32

And if it helps I went through nhs 111 online and with just having fever I've been told to self isolate and been emailed a certificate.

Like I've said. I had pain in chest for period of time before but as no one said CV symptoms and government weren't so strict I had no reason to be concerned but I did know I wasn't right iyswim?

But now I have a temperature and very tired but no symptoms of a cold or sore throat or anything else to cause a high temp it's assumed it's CV.

Does anyone have oral thrush? Both me and my partner have got it. I would've thought it was just thrush, but he had a fever earlier in the week, and we have both been tired and ache-y. I've been searching online to see if thrush is a symptom, and found a doc saying that 2 of the first 10 covid patients in the US had oral thrush, but not seen any reference to it anywhere else. I'm not super sick or anything, but it is very painful whenever I swallow and eat!

Mummyoflittledragon · 22/03/2020 19:58

I think you also get directed to call 111 if you have confusion as it could be pneumonia. Try the 111 checker. I’m getting periods of confusion. Couldn’t remember how to use the salt mill earlier. But I have ME/CFS plus I need more surgery. These both exacerbate my symptoms of confusion, I now have aphasia again so this is something I experience anyway. I know my body. Doesn’t make it easier or less scary and confusing...

Mummyoflittledragon · 22/03/2020 20:00

Alez
Since I had major surgery, I get mouth thrush with every cold etc. So yes, this is possible. It is a sign your body is functioning poorly. I’ve been taking Daktarin for it.

122now · 22/03/2020 20:04

My swab results are due tomorrow🙏 my symptoms are just like yours hrh2020 but I also had diarrohea early on. Feeling very weak in my legs this evening. Been in bed mostly since friday as feeling so weak

Casino218 · 22/03/2020 20:09

Let us know. How have you managed to get a test?

DandyPenguin · 22/03/2020 20:17

Disclaimer: I have NOT been tested, just been told by a 111 doctor I probably have Covid-19

I’m going to do the above disclaimer on my posts when I remember to, so as not to mislead anyone.

I’m on Day 5 and feeling worse.
Sooooo tired. Chest pains and back pains worse. Cough getting worse.

But in scheme of things really not so bad. (I’ve had a very serious illness in the past and nearly died, so am comparing it to that).

Still no fever which I’m thankful about as that makes everything worse.

I asked before but no one answered- anyone else getting a headache/blocked sinuses & sore throat on one side only?

122now · 22/03/2020 20:25

@Casino218 I am a nurse so referred straight away for swab because I'm needed on the frontline 😔

Beebers111 · 22/03/2020 20:29

Tonight I have a very tight chest, like a weight is sitting on it.

No other symptoms. Anxiety maybe?

carlywurly · 22/03/2020 20:33

@itsgettingweird I have had exactly your symptoms except no fever yet. I thought it was some kind of anxiety reaction.

Why aren't they being clearer on symptoms? I've been taking my temperature every morning (always 35. something) and doing that thing where you hold your breath 10 seconds.

We've been social distancing for the past week or two but I've been to the local shop today Sad

Casino218 · 22/03/2020 20:33

@122now didn't realised they had started testing nhs staff. Thank god they have.

You might know- does the swan just tell you you have an active viral CV infection?

122now · 22/03/2020 20:34

It could well be anxiety @Beebers111 but I know mine is just not right. Deep breaths x

122now · 22/03/2020 20:35

@Casino218 I am in ireland sorry, they are swabbing all staff here with symptoms xx

Casino218 · 22/03/2020 20:35

Swan not swan🤪

Casino218 · 22/03/2020 20:35

Swab

122now · 22/03/2020 20:37

@Casino218 yes, it's a nasal swab down the nose & into pharynx, it pick up CV only

Casino218 · 22/03/2020 20:37

@122now oh right I see. Yes Boris doesn't actually give a shit about nhs staff unlike your pm. Well I am glad they are and they should be here.

122now · 22/03/2020 20:39

Does anyone else feel that symptoms are quite intermittent, feeling fine one minute, then symptomatic the next and feeling like you've been hit by a bus x

DandyPenguin · 22/03/2020 20:39

Disclaimer: I have NOT been tested, just been told by a 111 doctor I probably have Covid-19

I thought my tight chest was anxiety for a day or two but as it got worse it was apparent to me it was in a different place to anxiety-caused chest pain.

This started as a tight band below my ribs but is pain in my lungs now and sharp pain in my sternum.

slipperywhensparticus · 22/03/2020 20:39

I'm assuming my heavy chest is anxiety I've no temp mo cough until today which is over three weeks from my heavy chest starting

What in earth is wrong with me

122now · 22/03/2020 20:41

To be fair to our government they have been excellent in their early interventions. We have been preparing our hospital for weeks now, emptying beds with a number of weeks. It feels quite eery there but at least we are ready to go. X
