Hi all, new thread as we'd neared the end of the other.

I thought it might be useful to list symptoms we are having / have had:

Day 1 - Diarrhea (mild), slight aches and pains
Day 2 - Flu like symptons, achey joints, fatigue, chills, slight cough, slight chest discomfort, upper back ache
Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back
Day 9 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing
Day 10 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing, sore boobs
Day 11 - No fever, felt a bit better, mild chest ache, slight cough
Day 12 - today, exhausted, no fever, chest easing

I've been following this thread, since I had the fire in lungs feeling as well. I've not documented day by day, but sore throats started here around 6 March, and since yesterday I think my lungs are okay (fingers crossed). More air, no more pressure or fire. Hopefully that's it now.

KayakingOnDown · 26/03/2020 16:44

Good news @whatyouwalkingabout.

Day 10 here of chest pain. No better

But heartened by the view that my lungs can heal, long-term.

IpanemaGallina · 26/03/2020 16:58

Thanks whatyou for sharing good news.

I’m feeling so nauseas. Did anyone actually throw up or does it just go away?

user34254356 · 26/03/2020 17:00

@throughabush that's very helpful info from your GP. Mine has also offered to give me antibiotics if my fever doesn't ease. Fingers crossed we all get through this quickly. What day are you on?

treedragon · 26/03/2020 17:04

Who else is just generally off their food too?

AppleBlossomTimeNow · 26/03/2020 17:05

Day 15 - remaining symptoms are sore tongue, brain fog, low mood (tearful), headache & tiredness. Still coughing but less frequently. I feel lucky that I got antibiotics when I did, and that I got off lightly compared to some people but I am so bored & frustrated now.

Katkincake · 26/03/2020 17:11

Checking in for day 14. Just a light headache and odd dizzy spell and on/ off lower back pain for me today (so far - I usually get flushed / hot and dizzy around 6pm) yesterday I had a complete panic attack when I was struggling to breath. DH has to breath with me to calm me down. Sending get well wishes to you all, this is a tough bug to shift

tangledyarn · 26/03/2020 17:14

@treedragon I'm barely able to eat anything, am trying but I just have no apetite at all, cant remember that ever happening before!

Spacecadetagain · 26/03/2020 17:16

I’ve had on off loss of appetite too and had days where I felt quite sick

Andromeida59 · 26/03/2020 17:21

Can I join in?
Started about 2.5 weeks ago, pain when breathing and dizziness. Fatigue and general aches and pains. After 4 days tested for Covid19 and it eventually came back negative. Was getting better with no symptoms for about 3 days. Tuesday night, woke up. My chest felt heavy. I feel warmer and I have started with a cough, albeit intermittent. I feel so much worse, I am in pain all over, heavy feeling in chest and so very tired.
Spoken to Dr about another matter and he has told me to contact them if it gets worse. I feel bloody awful and feel very teary. This sucks.

I'm off my food. Forcing soup down and sweet tea. I've ordered some of those medical milkshakes which are high in calories and vitamins.

Does anyone else take supplements?

Casino218 · 26/03/2020 17:23

@Ipanema CV just keeps on giving doesn't it?

Casino218 · 26/03/2020 17:25

@Andromeda the Chinese ophthalmologist that first noticed the virus tested negative a number of times but he had the virus. Your symptoms certainly fit.

Lovelesslily · 26/03/2020 17:39

Day 5 (though tight chest and sore throat actually started 2 or 3 days before...) and burning sensation is much less today but am very short of breath when trying to talk or walk to another room.
As others said so frustrating wanting to talk and it is just so much effort.

Cough is a little more persistent today as well, which I worry will ramp up and hurt my chest more :(

But overall better today than when I woke and posted here in the night - then I'd been shaking so uncontrollably I'd panicked I was having some kind of seizure ... luckily that subsided and managed to control it.

Just hoping against hope I've got a mild/short version ... I am 30 and reasonably fit usually. Lost 5lbs since Sunday...

Luckily my dad (lives with me, 70) still showing no signs. Will keep well isolated from him for another week I think!

user34254356 · 26/03/2020 17:43

i have a lot of mucous at that back of my throat. Anyone else feel the same? Not sure if it's post nasal drip or phlegm from lungs.

IpanemaGallina · 26/03/2020 17:43

Think I’m also at the shaking uncontrollably phase. My fingers are tingling. I have put a call into gp as breathing a little harder.

InanOcadoQueue · 26/03/2020 17:45

I had the same as you IdrisElbow a week of what I'd call a very sore throat that just didn't get any better or worse, but not debilitating, then on day 8 burning feeling in chest and short of breath. Bit tired. Slight cough. But not that bad. No temperature. GP thought I had it but I'm not convinced.

longshot · 26/03/2020 17:47

I think I’m the only person on here who is still eating and drinking normally, no major issues there but obviously haven’t been bothered to make food very often but when put in front of me do feel hungry. I’ve taken comfort in this.

Today for me (day 16 since first symptoms of mild diarrhoea and aches) has been hard. I feel a lot more like myself, quite a bit more energetic but the pains in my chest are quite bad. I’ve got them all across the centre and in my shoulder. The tightness has eased a bit and I can breathe ok. I feel because I don’t feel ill otherwise perhaps I am healing. I have no idea but wanted to share in case others feel similar.

@whatyouwalkingbout it is so good to hear stories that have had it for weeks and now feel mostly better. I think we all feel scared on here and it is good to know we shouldn’t all expect full recovery in 7 days.

I have found this especially hard this week as a friend who had it after me is already recovered and feeling well, out cycling every day. I’m still struggling to hang the washing out. I guess we are all different!

Mummyoflittledragon · 26/03/2020 17:50

I’m day 11 since the cough. Day 14 from the start of feeling ill. Antibiotics have really kicked in now. I’m feeling tons and tons better. Cough is very limited now. So I’m going to be able to go out walking. Yeh!

longshot · 26/03/2020 17:50

@hollytom - how do you feel in yourself aside from the pains? I have the same pains as you for sure. All up my sides, all across the centre of my chest and what feels like a constant ache that’s almost in my left breast! But as I am starting to feel a bit better otherwise, fever is gone, more energy I’m figuring maybe it’s going...? I could be totally wrong. I feel that what I am now experiencing is a milder version of what I have already had if that makes sense (a bit tired but not exhausted, pains but not breathless).

OP posts:
longshot · 26/03/2020 17:52

@Mummyoflittledragon glad you are feeling better, what did you get the antibiotics for? My GP will not give any which makes sense if viral but at 16 days on with constant chest pains I’m wondering if I’ve got something secondary. Impossible to know I guess. Did you still have fever? Dr told me that unless I had a fever still it wouldn’t be bacterial.

OP posts:
hollytom · 26/03/2020 17:56

@longshot yes feel a bit better so trying to do more and then get breathless and have to sit down. Two separate people have said they felt like this when they had pneumonia with pain in ribs etc which led me to ring GP. It’s frustrating isn’t it?

littleblackdress04 · 26/03/2020 18:04

Hi everyone- I am quite breathless today but have had no cough or temperature??? Anyone else just had the chest symptoms?

isitorisntit · 26/03/2020 18:06

Hi, finally I asked for for some medical support. Called GP surgery, receptionist listened to symptoms, put me thru to GP. He said sounds very much like I've had CV and has prescribed antibiotics in case of secondary lung infection (they are seeing more as the bacteria is getting into damaged lungs). Said cough likely to last 4+ weeks and they just don't know if you will be immune once you've had it. They cannot confirm I've had it until there's a reliable antibody test.
