Hi all, new thread as we'd neared the end of the other.

I thought it might be useful to list symptoms we are having / have had:

Day 1 - Diarrhea (mild), slight aches and pains
Day 2 - Flu like symptons, achey joints, fatigue, chills, slight cough, slight chest discomfort, upper back ache
Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back
Day 9 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing
Day 10 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing, sore boobs
Day 11 - No fever, felt a bit better, mild chest ache, slight cough
Day 12 - today, exhausted, no fever, chest easing

Spacecadetagain my back does feel as though I have been kicked by a horse too.

I am sorry you are feeling scared, I felt like that last night but I am only on day 8. Dreading the next week and already convinced I will die even though my symptoms are very mild compared to others on here ☹️ .

Have you rung 111 if you are feeling a lot more breathless than you were?

Cailleach · 24/03/2020 16:48

@Casino218
These don't really show the true colour of it which is a very dark pink.

The blisters have gone down on both sides and now look a lot like nettle rash. My face feels hot. I haven't used any different face creams or other products in the last few days.

@Kahlua4me no I haven’t yet . One of my problems is I’d just recently found out I was anaemic too so obviously some of the breathlessness could be that .. I haven’t started on my tablets yet .. also wondering if sonic isn’t helping . Today I’m feeling really scared.. no idea if I’m really day 12 as it’s twelve days since I had my first high temp but then felt okish for a couple of days . I woke feeling five on Sunday and temp was completely back to normal but then freaked out at reports that you feel better then take a turn for the worse Sad

Spacecadetagain · 24/03/2020 16:53

Typos ! I meant panic not sonic and fine not five !

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 16:54

@Cailleach you don't get rosacea do you?

Littleninja1 · 24/03/2020 17:00

@Spacecadetagain this sounds like you are naturally worried. I know it is so hard to resist but try and stay away from reports about covid. I was also getting a lot of anxiety that wasn't helping me recover and since avoiding all news it's helped massively. I didn't even know about the lockdown Smile

Try to take each day at a time or even each hour. Don't think ahead, you aren't there, you are here now. So when you breathe right now are you able to breathe? Does it feel tight and heavy but you are actually breathing? That's how I was. The pain was frightening and unknown but I realised after a&e that that doesn't mean I'm not breathing.

Can you focus your breathe on your diaphragm? Put your awareness there rather than your chest.

I am not a doctor and don't want to give wrong advice so this is from my experience. It told myself it will pass, that I've felt bad before and it got better. That my body is fighting this and right now I am coping.

Is anyone there to help you with food, drinks, medication etc?

Sending hugs xx

TheWooisStrong · 24/03/2020 17:01

Urgh, definitely feeling rough again.
Shivery, weak, headachey. Yuck.
O2 and pulse 99/68 though so normal. I’m wondering if this is the post viral fatigue bit - would definitely fit with needing a 4 week recovery, and also waking up feeling better then getting worse throughout the day.

DandyPenguin · 24/03/2020 17:02

@Cailleach Poor you, looks sore. I would say it’s not covid going by list of “official” symptoms but I’m not a doctor. Looks like an allergic reaction if not rosacea.

Sulusu · 24/03/2020 17:02

Sigh.
I woke up feeling crap this morning, flu like and have low grade fever. Came back from unavoidable travel a week ago, have quarantined since, and took every precaution when flying. But I bet I have it. I have ME and mild asthma, even a normal chest infection gives me bronchitis. I am terrified.

My chest is really tight and lots of pain across upper back, with a dry cough.

I also have isolated myself from DH and DS now, it's very hard in same house though.

Cailleach · 24/03/2020 17:03

@Casino218 no - never really had acne as a teenager either.

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:05

I've hit the red wine. It's very good for relaxation and pain relief 😁

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:06

@Cailleach but you did say you get very red cheeks that can be rosacea and when spots come out that can also be it

muminmanchester · 24/03/2020 17:06

I am pretty sure I'm starting with it, I had diarrhoea, chills and aches over the weekend, felt better yesterday but today my chest and upper back are sore and I am feeling quite tight Chested. My sister has had it (untested but pretty sure based on symptoms) and we saw her the day before her symptoms started; she's 7 days on now.

I'm panicking about looking after the kids if I get to the point where I can't get out of bed. they are 4 and 1, unfortunately DH was in a car accident in January and broke his pelvis so he is still out of action for childcare, he can't walk without crutches and can't lift weights (ie the baby) as he also broke his hand. He can manage the 4 year old ok enough but the baby is a different story, plus she is going through a 'mummy only' stage and screams the house down if I'm not in eyesight.

Anyone any advice?

Hope everyone else is feeling ok and managing to rest

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:08

@muminmanchester I'm about day 15 you will be ok as you sound young if have baby. It will be uncomfortable but you should be able to just get on with it

Spacecadetagain · 24/03/2020 17:09

@Littleninja1 yes I’m a little bit stressed now ! It just feels like I’ve got a tight band round my ribs .. like my ribs are crushing my lungs .. it’s horrible ..

muminmanchester · 24/03/2020 17:10

Thanks @casino218 that's reassuring. I'm 34. We have a decent enough stock of painkillers, hoping they will see us through.

Spacecadetagain · 24/03/2020 17:10

@Littleninja1 I’m divorced . Ex h lives four hours away so just me and my dc .. I had pneumonia 15 years ago and it didn’t feel like this ... this is just odd ..

tobesuretobesure · 24/03/2020 17:11

I posted not so long ago and have since listened to my ds having a huge (dry) coughing fit. I wondered whether anyone else has experienced the symptoms I mentioned as I'm trying to figure out whether we all have cv and I think there's not a chance of a test for a while. Would so appreciate a reply, thank you

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:12

@muminmanchester take the paracetamol 4-6 hourly as you get better pain relief if more regular.

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:14

@tobesuretobesure just assume it is the virus. Without testing we cannot be 100% but a cough is a symptom. Yes your symptoms fit the description of CV.

DandyPenguin · 24/03/2020 17:16

@Casino218 did you order a private test in the end?

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:18

@DandyPenguin no I read a few reports that said a number of people who died tested negative so I just though it's not worth it.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 24/03/2020 17:19

Hello, all.

Sorry to everyone feeling poorly.

I've had diarrhoea, shivers, sore throat, achey joints sore lungs and sore kidneys since last night. Sleep has been hard - partly as I'm terrified.

Anyway, I checked 111 which said as I don't have a cough or temp it's irrelevant.

Should I be self isolating within the house? I don't want to pass it on to partner and kids but presume it's quite likely to be too late to stop that anyway as we've been in the house together a week.

DandyPenguin · 24/03/2020 17:19

Yes I read they’re not necessarily reliable and that the first provider of them stopped selling them.

longshot · 24/03/2020 17:20

@muminmanchester just wanted to reassure you. @Casino218 and I have been on here for about a week now and I have been following everyone's posts. I think there are points that are really hard and other stages where you feel OK / normal ish (in my experience) for a while.

I am mid thirties, really quite fit normally and I think there were 2 days where I had to stay in bed most of the day but the other 12 days I have been up and about a bit, sat in garden, read a book just feeling exhausted at the same time. If you can nap when your baby naps I think you will get through it with paracetamol frequently and lots of water. I would plonk 4yr old in front of TV as much as is needed as I appreciate your DH can't help so much. Can DH cook and do all of those things? If so and you can just rest with baby I think it is do-able.

I am feeling a tiny bit better this afternoon, don't want to get my hopes up but REALLY hoping I might be starting to improve.

I now have the diarrhea some of you have mentioned late on (not too bad), still a sore chest but not terrible and I have a bit more energy. I have played with the kids and managed to sort some washing. This is the best I have felt in 3 days! No doubt I will be back here tomorrow saying I feel awful again!
