Hi all, new thread as we'd neared the end of the other.

I thought it might be useful to list symptoms we are having / have had:

Day 1 - Diarrhea (mild), slight aches and pains
Day 2 - Flu like symptons, achey joints, fatigue, chills, slight cough, slight chest discomfort, upper back ache
Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back
Day 9 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing
Day 10 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing, sore boobs
Day 11 - No fever, felt a bit better, mild chest ache, slight cough
Day 12 - today, exhausted, no fever, chest easing

@ScrimpshawTheSecond absolutely self isolate, there's nowhere to go anyway but I had no fever or real cough until day 6!

Many thanks Casino. If it is cv, given that the whole family has it, I can confirm the kids are still able to run around and have fun and dh is able to do all his remote working. I hope that it soon passes and I wish anyone who has the same symptoms all the best x

DandyPenguin · 24/03/2020 17:22

Did the original OP, ie the one who started the first thread, ever come back? I hope she’s ok.

IpanemaGallina · 24/03/2020 17:22

@Casino218 thanks for answering. I’ve taken some paracetamol to help the chest pain. I’m avoiding all news now and calming down.

I also had pneumonia 9 yrs ago and it felt different.

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:23

@DandyPenguin if we think is it a cold or flu then instead - well the symptoms are so different from that to me I think no it's not that. If we think is it CV then? Well looking at how CV works - I have symptoms that fit with how that virus works. I'm going to trust my own instinct and I'm a respiratory nurse. That's my view and others may have different views.

Spacecadetagain · 24/03/2020 17:26

@ScrimpshawTheSecond I started with a temp then didn’t really feel I’ll for a few days before temp went up again then a day or so later had the upset stomach

DandyPenguin · 24/03/2020 17:27

Sorry @Casino218 not sure why you’re addressing you last post to me?

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 24/03/2020 17:28

longshot of course we are all self isolating in our house - I've not left in over a week anyway. What I mean is, should I be in a separate room and not touching my family? Is there much point trying to stop giving it to them now, if we've all been hugging kissing etc for past week?

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:29

@DandyPenguin sorry got wrong person x

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 24/03/2020 17:29

Sorry hope that didnt sound snippy, am feeling like crap!

Cailleach · 24/03/2020 17:31

@Casino218 that's only when I'm ill, though. I get red cheeks when I have a fever, never at any other time.

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:33

@Cailleach heat rash?

Littleninja1 · 24/03/2020 17:36

@Spacecadetagain and @IpanemaGallina you both mentioned you've had pneumonia before and this feels different. Could you explain the difference?

My back is now so painful around my ribs and I don't have the crushing band around bra line than many are describing. Mine was concentrated in centre of chest, tight and heavy and now has spread across back and sometimes on one side as well. More like lots of pins spiking me from inside my back.

Littleninja1 · 24/03/2020 17:38

Sorry didn't mean around my ribs, meant across my upper back like shoulder blades and down to my torso @Spacecadetagain and @IpanemaGallina

WotcherHarry · 24/03/2020 17:43

@littleninja1 that’s exactly how my chest pain feels.
I’m day 3 now. Temp 38.5 at the minute, coughing (a little less today), headache (this is better today), generally lethargic and aching everywhere. Confused when my temperature spikes at night. The chest pain is awful though, it hurts all the time and then more when I breathe.
My kids have had coughs and low level temps. A little out of sorts but not much.
I’m a paediatric nurse and I wouldn’t have thought anything of their coughs/temps before this!

Kahlua4me · 24/03/2020 17:47

My whole back feels sore now not just the lower part and my cheeks are flushed again. I am dreading the night coming in case I panic at the same time.

Casino218, just a quick question. I spoke to me gp earlier about my back pain and he has px something with codeine and paracetamol in which my lovely sister in law is collecting. Is it ok to take that or should I just stick to paracetamol? Not holding you to account just wondering your opinion?
He didn’t think it was cv because I haven’t had a temp or bad cough!

IpanemaGallina · 24/03/2020 17:49

Littleninja1 pneumonia started with feeling unwell, temperature, couldn’t get out of bed feeling followed by pain in shoulder blades several days later.

This has gone from sore throat to chest pain/pressure at the front almost immediately but I can still walk about okay (at moment anyway) and temperature not that high.

DandyPenguin · 24/03/2020 17:50

I’m definitely worse now on Day 7 then on Day 1 when my sore throat, shortness of breath and chest prune started.

I feel like I’m going under.

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:53

@DandyPenguin what do you mean by going under?

dreamm · 24/03/2020 17:55

@DandyPenguin Flowers

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:55

@Kahlua4me yes codeine / paracetamol fine. It's non steroidal so you need to avoid. Just a clause - this is just my opinion x

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 17:58

@Kahlua4me just want to say that picture of symptoms is more complex. 70% of those tested positive in study were asymptomatic. Safer to assume and isolate.

longshot · 24/03/2020 17:59

@muminmanchester yes sorry that makes sense!! I did now self isolate from my family as it was about 5 days before I thought perhaps it could be Covid. I’ve not been tested so don’t know if I have it but the family have all had it now in some way but all much much milder than me. DH hardly any symptoms at all and DC’s both a bit ill (fever, cough, aches) and no more. DH said an achey upper back / neck, tiredness and a very very slight cough. It seems to vary so much.

DandyPenguin · 24/03/2020 18:02

Sorry sounds dramatic. I mean it’s taking a hold and I think I’m about to fully get it, like when you have a cold and you feel it’s gone from stage one to fully blooming, so to speak? I feel like I am about to come down with a fever - of course I could be wrong. It’s only yesterday I started taking paracetamol regularly as I was coping with the chest pains and didn’t have headache as I do now.

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 18:03

@DandyPenguin ok you had me worried then 😁
