Hi all, new thread as we'd neared the end of the other.

I thought it might be useful to list symptoms we are having / have had:

Day 1 - Diarrhea (mild), slight aches and pains
Day 2 - Flu like symptons, achey joints, fatigue, chills, slight cough, slight chest discomfort, upper back ache
Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back
Day 9 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing
Day 10 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing, sore boobs

Sorry I’ve not read the full thread. I have come down with some kind of bug maybe Coronavirus yesterday. I felt slightly off all weekend but put it down to maybe catching a cold from my baby. Yesterday I became more weak as the day went on, body aching chest very tight, slight raised temperature and feverish. Went to bed very early didn’t sleep to badly, woke a few times in the night really hot.
Today I still have a bit of a tight chest and still all the same symptoms but a little milder perhaps because I’m taking good painkillers.
I just had about 30minutes of waves of nausea quite painful and threw up a bit. I do feel a lot better because of this now. Has anybody else had this?

stayathomegardener · 24/03/2020 10:05

@longshot I made the decision not to actually tell any friends as didn't feel I could cope with the well meaning how are you's.
Day 13 and as well as odd lungs my cheeks and sinuses feel what I can only describe as numb. Not liking that development.

Kahlua4me · 24/03/2020 10:06

Beckyboo123 I have very similar symptoms to you.

Think I may be on day 8 as I had a slight sore throat last Tuesday but didn’t feel particularly ill until Thursday night.
Stayed in bed Friday and part of Saturday.
Felt much better on Sunday and did some gardening and cleaning!
Monday during the day was good, felt back to normal but went downhill last night. Woke up every couple of hours feeling hot and clammy in elbows and chest but no temp according to my thermometer. Retched a few times but no vomiting. Also my lower ribs are sore, sort of aching, but I can take a deep breath with no pain.

Feel tired today but calmer now the sun is up. Ribs are still sore but probably not worth ringing gp about...

My BP and oxygen levels are good.

KayakingOnDown · 24/03/2020 10:11

@Littleninja1 I think my post wasn't clear. What I meant, and what the Guardian article explains, is that it is highly likely those of us suffering from pleurisy and pneumonia have Covid 19.

RoyalAlfred · 24/03/2020 10:33

Beckyboo123 - sounds similar to me (I have a GP positive diagnosis). I haven’t had a temperature and sleep okay at night.

Day 1:Saturday out nowhere - retching and really bad indigestion followed by diarrhoea. Bad facial flushes.

Day 2: Felt okay - slightly chesty and very lethargic (self-isolation from this point)

Day 3: tight chest and mild cough - online GP appointment

Day 4: waves of nausea back and face flushes.

tangledyarn · 24/03/2020 10:50

@stayathomegardener same until a couple of days ago (day 18) been telling people I have a chest infection as havent been able to cope with interacting much via text as just felt too bloody Ill to be reassuring ither people. Now my breathing and heart rate are a bit better I've told a few people that I'm a 'suspected' case and have had to tell work as am nhs.

Bringringbring12 · 24/03/2020 10:53

@pinkoneblueone

* Woke with a fluttering in my chest, I think i have pleurisy, but it's odd that my husband and I should both have it. I think my inhalers are making my heart rate drop to low as looking at my heart rate on my Fitbit app when I woke suddenly it was below 52 bpm. I have done a few yoga poses to help ease my mind and take my mind off things *

I have had pleurisy. Not a chance. Not a chance that yoga would have been possible.

Pleurisy is intense pain in the chest. Mine followed from pneumonia. You feel like death but more than that... the pain.

If you’re doing yoga, no doc would diagnose pleurisy

Casino218 · 24/03/2020 10:55

Day 15 and definitely feeling better. Cough gone. Chest tightness easing. Some pleuritic pains. Will be tired later in day and probably ache more.

And no... I haven't been tested but I've got enough respiratory nursing experience to deduce it's Covid 19.

Beckyboo123 · 24/03/2020 10:57

Thank you everyone, because we’re not being tested it makes you wonder whether it’s cv or something else. I’m isolating in our bedroom my DH and 2 DS age 4 and 7 months have the rest of the house. It’s not even been 24hours yet and I’m missing my beautiful boys so much already.

tangledyarn · 24/03/2020 11:00

@bringringbring12 Same. I've been struggling to just walk around at all. Theres no yoga here. Though am trying to meditate in bed :)

Bringringbring12 · 24/03/2020 11:01

@tangledyarn

Precisely!

Bringringbring12 · 24/03/2020 11:02

Yoga poses and pleurisy don’t belong in the same sentence!!

tempestterra · 24/03/2020 11:12

tangledyarn sorry i thought they were meant to be rolling out testing for NHS staff. Hope you make steady improvements Thanks

I definitely couldn't do yoga at the moment. It hurts to breath let alone breath whilst holding a poseGrin

DorsetCamping · 24/03/2020 11:15

Oh God, am so worried. DM (75 and compromised immunity) has just told me she's been sick

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/03/2020 11:19

God, I feel dreadful today. Absolutely awful.

Meercatmama · 24/03/2020 11:27

Hi
Day 9 for me and actually managed to have a warm bath but now a bit breathless. Had a few temperatures in the night but generally ok Woke this morning at first with a headache that has slowly cleared and now feel at bit better if breathless. Still have the pain under my left shoulder intermittently. Just glad to few a bit better

Aisforharlot · 24/03/2020 11:30

My suspected mild case has been:
Mild dry cough, generally feeling ill.
Diarrhoea day 2
Cough and fatigue, no fever. Slightly crackly lungs on breathing whilst lying down, feeling breathless whilst walking short distance.
Gradually feeling better, still fatigued.
Mostly better now, day 10, still tired by early evening.

Aisforharlot · 24/03/2020 11:31

Oh, and headache on and off,

hopsalong · 24/03/2020 11:38

What do people think about the idea of letting a fever run its natural course? I've been taking paracetamol for days because it makes me feel more normal, but I'm starting to wonder if maintaining a higher temperature would be more likely to knock this virus (whatever it is) out. Found this medical summary quite interesting www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4703655/ and have also been reading about the old practice of inducing malaria and its fevers to cure syphilis (imperfect because some patient died of malaria, but good enough to win someone a Nobel prize in the 1920s)!

Have even been wondering: might the death rates be higher in Italy than in China because people are resorting more quickly to antipyretic. We've already been told ibuprofen is bad. How do we know paracetamol isn't making things worse too? (Obviously once the fever is so high it's going to cause more damage than good the case is different.) No answers/ knowledge just wondering why GPS seem so keen to get everyone on a high dose of paracetamol.

isitorisntit · 24/03/2020 11:39

Morning. I'm on day 9 (or 11?) feel quite scared and have now bwwn in bed for 2 days. As soon as I feel the worst is over, I get hit with new symptoms.

Friday I felt like I'd been snorting Bleach. Since then, no smell or taste. Anyone else? This is making me so sad. What if I never smell my children's heads again??

Currently very sore chest/back/ achy lower back, pelvis. Yesterday, very bad kidney pains, but they quickly passed.

But the smells... Has anyone one lost their sense of smell and got it back?

littleblackdress04 · 24/03/2020 11:40

So these are my symptoms - last 5 days; face flushes & cold hands, tickly throat, upset tummy, some chills, temp normal, dry throat & nose

Today (prob day 6 or 7) I have a sore chest- hurts to move about, pains in chest area etc

No cough- just very occasionally

I don’t know what to think?? I don’t feel great!

AppleBlossomTimeNow · 24/03/2020 11:49

Day 13 - temperature has gone down & I'm coughing less. Feel like I'm 'drying out'. Sinuses & ears are sore. So, so tired.

Bingeslayer · 24/03/2020 11:49

Have not rtft but can anyone advise please.like to state i get quite regultra sore throat so, was actually overdue.
Woke up yesterday with really sore throat on right side, also really bad headache, throat much better today but headache still bad,no signs of cough or fever.is this symptoms?

Cailleach · 24/03/2020 11:50

New and weird symptom....I always have bright red fever cheeks when ill, but the last two days have seen them become a really deep red almost purple colour and now they have broken out in fluid filled blisters about the size of a pea.

Anyone know what this might mean?

Cailleach · 24/03/2020 11:51

Day 13 by the way, and feeling much better in myself.
