US news is big this morning. Just woke up to Trump saying we stopped it early in China. ‘We’ that’s a first.

If the government really has an evidence based plan, they should share the evidence with us.

And whether the evidence is from experts in disease or expert economists.

Playing devils advocate here, but perhaps we are going to impose the EU travel ban too? That way there is no backdoor.

It seems to me most people really like the drama of this and as I said on a previous post, seems to me like people are just really wanting some days off work!

They are not trying to stop the spread. They know it will spread, it's an inevitability.

They are looking to slow it down to maximise the NHS's ability to cope and protect the elderly and vulnerable.

The CMO has stated that none of the measure they take will change the total number of people infected only the speed.

It has been suggested that if they share the modelling with the public we will react to it and therefore make it less accurate.

What does a non believer even mean? You can't not believe in a virus...

I see it very clearly I just don't agree with you.

We have a culture of presenteeism and until work places are told that it's OK to let people who can work from home do so, many employers (especially mine who don't take this seriously) will continue to make employees share lifts, loos, photocopiers, aircon.

@Horehound Wanting a day off work? That is really offensive. Lots of us are worried about people in the very vulnerable group and how we or they could die. Bloody hell we are not teenagers looking for a sickie.

There is no soap in my children’s school and never has been. I have tried to send mine in with antibac before and it has been confiscated because of its alchohol content🤷🏻‍♀️

Well ‘we’ did nothing, ‘they’ (the Chinese) took measures to stop it.
