I think we are now seeing the cumulative impact of the anti senitism that has built up over the last 3 years where there has been a permissive environment with politicians hesitant to intervene in events in the streets that have incubated anti Jew sentiment.

All political parties apart from the hate apologist Greens are now waking up to the fact we need better policing and perhaps legislation. I for one will acting a vote for a party that recognises hate marches for what they are and also willing to tackle the vile posts appearing on social media (and Labour have reacted too late too little). Enough is enough for a Jewish community that lives in perpetual fear.

Not so funny, at least the World will and are judging the IDF and their supporters.

I think it is entirely possible to believe that Israel absolutely should not be torturing prisoners and deserve condemnation for that, but also to regard these flotilla fuckwits as masters of their own fate, akin to the sorts of people who decide to go on cycling holidays across Iran, but with an added dollop of self-promotion and a huge amount of self-righteousness.

I suspect that some of them would have been disappointed if Israel hadn't roughed them up, as that is what they went for and we can see from Scrappy-Doo's behaviour at the Spanish airport that they aren't all peace-loving pacifists.

Once again the majority of your condemnation, mockery and disdain is for the victims of the abuse not the perpetrators breaking international law, always a reason and excuse why they need to. As I have already said on this thread it is a shame Israel don't allow adequate aid to the people in Gaza making the impetus for these flotillas redundant.

Good we are in agreement that none of us can expect anything but torture and abuse from the IDF and Israeli government. They believe they are completely beyond reproach which is a scary prospect for Palestinians and again highlights the need for independent journalists to get access to document exactly what is happening.

Well it keeps the spotlight on what’s happening in Israel - which may have been one of the goals of the flotilla.

The governments speaking out in defence of their citizens- I was surprised, but it reinforces other concerns that are coming out about the way prisoners are treated.

They were probably starting to pack before realising the footage wasn't from Israel so they lost interest.

But it doesn't does it? It doesn't keep the spotlight on whats happening in Israel, WB, Gaza, or the plight of the average Palestinian on the street who is still stuck between an increasingly oppressive Israel and a violently oppressive Hamas or completely corrupt PA.

It doesnt amplify a single voice speaking out for empathy and reconciliation between the two groups.

It keeps the spotlight on the activists themselves.

It doesn't help a single person who's getting fucked over repeatedly by these groups.

Absent, of course. These comments are only made in regard to Israel internal investigations.

It is horrific to imagine how Palestinians are treated inside those camps. What can be happening when monstrous sadism is unleashed against the totally powerless while banning any scrutiny by the outside world?
