How on earth can this be justified? Organisations like MAP which have worked for years and are fully registered. Another example of Israels inhumanity.

Yes many jewish people are lovely nobody on here has referred to Jewish people except you, the discussion is about the Israeli governments actions, actions that many many Jewish people oppose

The journalist you support in turn supports Hamas and there is photographic evidence of his close relationship with them which proves what the idf said about him is true. Hamas as you know are dedicated to killing Jewish people - lovely people you say, at the same time as defending Hamas sympathisers.

Everexpanding · 04/01/2026 16:50

Hamas were the rulers of Gaza before October 7th so yes am sure most Palestinian journalists met with, interviewed and were maybe even hugged by members of Hamas, not a crime punishable by assassination part of their job

Everexpanding · 04/01/2026 16:52

Friends of Hamas are enemies of Israel and vice versa. Hamas were a terrorist death cult long before October 7th so to be friends with them is to support what they stand for and what they want which is to destroy Jews.

I can't believe that the situation has reached such awful levels that we have lists of posters calmly justifying the end to most of what remains of the aid in Gaza. Apparently a hand wave and 'security concerns' justifies the end of whatever medical treatment and food can be scaped together. Medical sans frontieres have stated that they're supporting almost all the remaining working hospitals and medical facilities.

There is no possible excuse to justify the removal of these NGOs. Of course these organisations understand how registration and war zones operate. They know what is needed much more effectively than the Israeli Government. It's just unfathomable that posters are prepared to believe that almost every major NGO couldn't get themselves sufficiently organised to pass a perfectly reasonable registration requirement. Of course that's not what's happened. Israeli have devised yet another way of preventing aid of desperate Palestinians. As all non Israeli media have been threatened, attacked or banned, aid workers are the only method of reliable information reaching the International Community. Israel need to put a stop to that so this serves two purposes. This comes after consistently blocking almost any aid from entering the country, banning organisations distributing food, targeting refuge camps, destroying medial infrastructure, deliberately targeting medical workers and allowing many members of the Israeli government to call for the death or removal of the Palestinian people.

This is blatant genocide and perhaps the greatest horror is that the Western World won't do anything no matter what new atrocities Netanyahu commits. Israeli's position is too convenient and they're too afraid of Trump. Any attempts to acknowledge this and or plead for Gazan's to receive aid are calmy dismissed as antisemitism. It's such a tragedy.

@ilovepuppies2019 I agree. And of course in a decade or so I strongly suspect those posters who have constantly supported Israel’s horrific behaviour will vehemently declare they were always “against the genocide” 🙄😡

Twiglets1 · 04/01/2026 17:01

Couldn't be bothered to read the whole post @ilovepuppies2019 but I will repeat that all the organisations together who will be unable to operate in Gaza in 60 days only represent 1% of the aid currently coming into Gaza.

So this sentence we have lists of posters calmly justifying the end to most of what remains of the aid in Gaza is wrong.

Think what you want Missy, I won't be calling it a genocide because it isn't one and I will always support Israel, even while criticising certain things done by their current government, certain members of the IDF or by the Settlers.

As was already explained It is not about the percentage of aid ** these organisations including MSF run or support most of Gaza's field hospitals and primary healthcare centres, emergency shelter responses, water and sanitation services, nutrition stabilisation centres for children with acute malnutrition, that is what is at issue here and why so many foreign ministers came together to issue a statement condemning Israel’s actions.

Currently, MSF supports one in five of Gaza’s hospital beds and assists one in three mothers during childbirth

israel’s actions will add to the suffering of the women and children of Gaza

I was replying to the comment by @ilovepuppies2019 about aid.

Jeez you leave for a while and come back and someone is pro the execution of a man based off a photo of a hug. A literal snapshot with zero context as to what came before or after. Savage.

The IDF were targeting him for other reasons but people always say where's the evidence this person was connected to Hamas because funnily enough security information is not widely shared. In this case there is photographic evidence of his close relationship with Hamas but it still gets disputed so what can you say.

What are the other reasons? Is every person photographed hugging Puff Daddy or Epstein a sex trafficking rapist?

If you had to live under Hamas what would you do upon meeting them?

Can’t be bothered to keep going over old ground when people’s opinions are entrenched anyway. Though seeing as this is a new question, if I had to live under Hamas I would be keeping my distance from them as far as possible and doing nothing to come to the attention of their leaders.

Yes lots of entrenched opinions….

I said what would you do upon meeting them, I for sure would smile and hug if it meant keeping myself safe, and able to still do my job.

I wouldn’t be meeting the leaders because I wouldn’t put myself in that position in the first place. If I came across them by chance I would be polite & respectful nothing more. Nothing to make them hug me like an old friend.

Some of that aid is irreplaceable and it is much more than food. Almost all medical aid is supplied by one now banned organisation. Another organisation won’t simply pick that back up. The organisations disgree with you and I think many of the largest organisations in the are in a better position to know than a poster on Mumsnet. Or course the largest NGOs done only provide 1 per cent and the job won’t just be done by another NGO.

Exactly. MSF provide irreplaceable aid. They are the major medical supplier.

This decision is utterly unjustifiable. The notion that MSF just can’t get it together and meet reasonable registration requirements is pure fantasy. The decision to ban aid meets a clearly established pattern.

There are other medical NGOs that have fulfilled the new requirements.

On page 3 of this thread there is a link to those NGOs published by Jerusalem Post.

Of course it would be better if no organisations had to pull out but ultimately that is the choice they made by not providing the information required.

The existence of Israel must be supported. The genocidal actions of N’s government must be fought.

It’s been confirmed as genocide by essentially every international source possible. Denying this places countries on the fringe and well outside of international law. The time for debate over what to call this level of rampant killing has passed as it’s been resolved. Disagreeing with a definition changes nothing about the atrocities happening in Gaza.

I would hope they all efforts would be on stopping the killing and improving the situation for the people of Gaza. Removing essential aid very clearly makes the situation vastly worse which is the design of the decision.

No worse than the journalists they have in Gaza that never criticise Hamas (all of them).
