I'm done with this circular discussion now but posters trying to convince people that they would be fine with men who are part of a institutionally racist organisation that are currently the world's most profuse child killers grabbing your children in the supermarket or anywhere else know how daft their claims are. Apart from this small subsection of mumsnetters people generally don't like armed racist killers anywhere near their children.

Well if you're done fine. This thread is about whether grabbing a kid by their arm is assault and it isn't. Hope that helps.

Institutionally racist organsition? Laughable if it wasn't such a serious depressing subject. Hamas & co, the Jew haters are the problem.

Yes; and no one seems to consider that Israeli soldiers in Gaza are also targets and children refusing to budge could be a trap.

Indeed. Children are used by some Palestinians and Hamas so soldiers might want to move them along from harms way whilst being wary of traps. They look very young, you would hope parents might keep an eye on them during heightened times.

Looks like even the pro-palsies realise they’ve over egged the assault allegations and are trying to derail the thread.

My opinion, which you are welcome to, is that if this video with the alleged assault has been sensationalized to this extent, it perfectly explains the lies over genocide, the lies over carpet bombing, the lies over torture of prisoners, the lies over starvation, the lies snipers shooting children, and the rest of the countless lies spewed out by Hamas, regurgitated without question by the anti-semites, and posted all over social media.
If ever a war was just, it was this one.

This incident occurred in Hebron.

Nothing to do with Hamas.

Lies, Lies Lies, there are entire books written about the history of Israel and the Palestinian situation., full of well researched facts with references to back up these facts. And there will be more books.

I agree this is the case sometimes. The clip doesn't show anything in particular. One can only surmise. I have no doubt whatsoever that some Israeli soldiers would never harm a child, unfortunately though there is a lot of evidence showing that children are abducted for detention, and shot at. But its in Hebron not in Gaza. The West bank has never been under the control of the Palestinian authority, and there are Israeli boots on the ground all day every day.

What would you call an organisation that arrest one set of people and call them terrorists for throwing stones but assist another set of people who are throwing stones and who they arrest and who they help depends on they help depends on their ethnicity?

I don't really get into made up scenarios tbh.

I would call hamas terrorists and the IDF an army getting rid of said terrorists and their pals if that's any good.

Why do people keep quoting this as if some kind of indisputable authority had spoken?

Out of approximately 500 members of the IAGS only 129 had participated in that particular vote.

According to IAGS’ own website, those “top scholars of genocide” include students, human rights activists, artists… No academic credentials or background checks seem to be required. Anyone can join for a fee ($30-$125) via an online form.

C'mon now we both know that it isn't made up. The below is just an example. This is a huge part of the problem isn't it, that people won't admit what Israel are, this weird gas lighting thing that we are all just supposed to accept despite so much evidence to the contrary. It needs to be studied.

On October 10, for example, Palestinian harvesters arrived in groves between Beita and Osarin, near Nablus, accompanied by additional activists. Maher, a landowner from Beita, told Haaretz: "Settlers came and started to steal the ladders and the tarps that are placed on the ground to collect the olives. I told a soldier, but he did nothing while settlers set fire to vehicles." He says at least 15 settlers, some with face coverings, chased him and others and threw stones at them. However, Maher says, soldiers then fired tear gas at the Palestinians.

@CrossChecking @LooneyLiberalSpaceWaster Which has got what to do with this thread?

As I said, this allegation of the two boys being assaulted is clearly false.
Quoting Rabbis, armchair scholars, settlers etc is all a derailment because, in the loonies own words, you are defending ‘Lies, lies, lies’.

That ceasefire must be holding as there are hardly any new threads.

No,
I was replying to this.

This thread is about how Israeli soldiers treat Palestinian children in the West Bank.

It is you who want to derail this discussion with your "opinion" on the motivation of the original poster, the motivation of others who have commented and derailed by talking about Hamas and Gaza.

If I were to stoop to your level of debate I'd give you a little bit of my opinion. In my opinion you are neither an Israeli or a Jew. That's what I think. I think your motivation to post at all on this is to cause further harm to Israeli people and to Jews. Derailing threads with repugnant opinion, denial of basic facts, no use of facts or sources whilst attacking reasonable debate has the potential to create two outcomes. 1. some will assume you to be Jewish or Israeli and an example of Jewish thought. 2. That this justifies their own rabid antisemitism.

Antisemitism is on the rise in the UK, and it is happening because in no small part people are pointing at anonymous posts on social media thinking the gaslighting, lies, and propaganda is being pushed by ordinary Israeli people and Jews, and let's face it the mask slips and the reaction is blatant antisemitism.

As for the cease fire, go look in the news. And no, the ceasefire is not the big defining history changing event you think, since your take on history is such a short overview. Yes, more opinion for you, I suspect you have only been interested in the middle east since October 7th. Your insistence that other posters better informed than you are derailing the discussion merely makes you look anxious not to look ignorant and ill informed.

If you accept that posts on reddit and other SM alongside videos as evidence logic would dictate that the facts of Gaza and the west bank are also evidenced by SM posts and videos. And there are very many SM posts an dvideos showing Israeli aggression towards children. Are these not evidence because it doesn't support your opinion.

If all it takes in your opinion is to watch one video to form your opinion, does looking at thousands of videos of live streamed genocide not alter your opinion?

I mean, if SM posts and videos are your only reference points I can give you plenty of evidence of genocide, ethics cleansing, Israeli propaganda, alongside videos of snipers killing kids, Israeli soldiers abducting children.....are these not 'facts' too?

It doesn't take one video to form my opinion I read from multiple sources and prefer mainstream media.

I was suggesting it for this one specific example however because from what others have said, there is a video online showing the actual interaction with these boys.

Live streaming from any war would show death and destruction so it would be pointless for me to watch that footage - I already know lots of people die in wars. That's why it's so foolish to start them (especially with a more powerful enemy) and I'm very happy there is a ceasefire, long may it last.

Google number of children killed in Yemen. 85000 by malnutrition aline and that’s apart from the ones killed directly in the war there. But they don’t matter do they? Neither do the children killed by any other wars as they don’t fit your narrative, which is now not even thinly veiled. Any child death caused by war is appalling, and that is ALL children.

Dude you and others on the the soldiers are just babysitting them side didn't open it. It said right at the beginning of the video that it happened in the West Bank yet so many of you went yammering on about Gaza and a war zone.

Because we don't agree with foreign soldiers going to people homes and neighbourhoods and manhandlinf their children as they play it doesn't mean we didn't watch it.

Is this the most barbaric thing that has happened even in the past week, I don't think anyone has said that it is. We could have posted videos of an Israeli civillian beating an old woman so severely with a pipe that she ended up in ICU.

We could talk about video of Israeli civillians throwing stones at Palestinians while the IDF stand and watch(we all know what they do to Palestinians who throw stones) and then the IDF throw tear gas at the Palestinians whilst the Israelis stand at a safe distance watching.

We could talk about the Israeli woman who was trying to protect Palestinians who was chased down and stoned by 30 masked Israeli civillians until she fell and broke her ribs and elbow, she thought they were going to stone her to death until she told them she was Jewish and then they stopped.

We could talk about the multiple arson attacks that have happened this week alone as the IDF have stood by and watched?

These boys may have just been manhandled but it still isn't OK. Today they are man handling them, tomorrow they are standing by as they beaten unconscious by Israeli civillians.

Edited

Shocking summary there and quite right that these actions escalate and should never be acceptable

The IDF should not be touching, kicking, manhandling or going anywhere near children.
