Feel like once the hostages are handed over Israel will start bombing again

It seems too good to be true, a final end to the war.

After all the plans that were announced with regards to annexation and the Israeli far-right government members, I can’t help but feel that once all of the hostages are released Israel will go ham on Gaza.

There will be nothing to stop them bombing everywhere.

No hostages to avoid bombing.

No families pleading with the Israeli ministers.

Israel has broken so many ceasefires and this was with the hostages lives at stake.

I don’t know, but I can’t celebrate with everyone as I don’t believe it will last and my heart says that’s it’s going to get worse.

I wonder if our disgrace of a PM, as well as Macron and Carney, still support and recognise a Palestinian State now they can clearly see what that means, now the IDF has withdrawn and Hamas are killing anybody who might potentially support or lead the rebuilding of Gaza as a peaceful, independent State?

I hope they double down. Not only should they recognise it, they should actively help to facilitate its creation.

Yes, dragging people out of tents and shooting them is not a good look for a government.

Recognising a Palestinian state is not the same as supporting a Hamas led government. No international Western democracy has expressed any support for Hamas so stop making things up

Israel having had to put security measures in place to prevent Palestinians trying to and succeeding in killing their citizens, (which is basically what the so-called occupation is as the Palestinians have rejected all opportunities to create their own State preferring to put their efforts into the annihilation of the sovereign State next door), has still hurt their citizens because thousands of Israelis have still been murdered and taken hostage.

That would have been the tip of the iceberg WITHOUT the ‘occupation’, so it sounds to me like you want more Oct 7ths which the Palestinians have vowed to carry out again, and again?

Can you clarify that?

I suppose it does benefit Israelis that they are not being constantly murdered in rocket and terrorists attacks, and Israel still exists.

How else do you think Israeli citizens benefit from Israel having security measures to minimise the attempts to slaughter them?

Here was me thinking that you couldn't see my posts. You completely ignored my post to you about Israelis sexually abusing almost 70% of Palestinian children in detention. Maybe you could clarify why that is and why after reading my post about the rampant sexual abuse of Palestinian children you are still talking at me about Israels 'security measures' which include this prolific abuse of children?

Well I think it would be very, very awkward for Israel to bomb Gaza again after all those speeches.
I actually think Trump may have achieved peace. For how long who knows - but lets keep the hope.

I ignored it because it’s such utter bollocks it doesn’t deserve a response.

Such a serious allegations of mass sexual abuse needs more than ‘testimonies’ from children brainwashed into an ideology that’s very function is to demonise Israel to aid in it’s charter of Israel’s annihilation which it can’t achieve by military means, so uses insidious propaganda based on the premise that the global phenomenon of centuries old Jew hatred virtually guarantees every accusation, no matter how illogical and outlandish, made against them will be believed.

It started with the ‘Great Catastrophe’ 77 years ago,

It would be a very bad mistake if Starmer goes ahead and recognises Palestine.

Timeforabitofpeace · 13/10/2025 19:17

It would not. Most people think it’s fair. It’s their country, and Israel should not be allowed to steal it.

Does I S R A E L get a country too or do we just chuck all the Jews oops sorry Israelis in the sea?

Israel has a state what makes you think recognising a Palestinian state would mean it ceases to exist? Or did you just want to make a sick joke in an attempt to be funny?

Just stop now.

No one's chucking anyone anywhere. Every person that lives within Israel/Palestine/Gaza/West Bank needs to stop and start a new chapter without the hate, resentment and grudge.

It needs to stop. Now.

So you do think Israel has the right to exist where it does? Thats actually a relief you think that so I'll take back my comment.

I will post it for you to read. The article is dated 22nd September 2025:

Hamas has executed three Palestinians accused of “collaborating” with Israel on the streets of Gaza.

Footage posted on Hamas-affiliated Telegram accounts showed armed and masked members of the group lining up three blindfolded Palestinians in a public square in Gaza.

Chants of “Allahu Akbar” were heard among the crowd as they gathered to watch and film the public execution.

One of the Hamas members was heard saying: “Pursuant to the content of Palestinian revolutionary law and based on the Palestinian revolutionary court, a death sentence was decided against those who betrayed the homeland, betrayed their people and betrayed their cause, and put [themselves] hand-in-hand with the occupation in order to kill their own people.”

The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis provided The Telegraph with an English translation of the execution video.

The three men were ordered to kneel before three executioners shot them in their heads and upper bodies with rifles.

Notes with handwritten Arabic were then laid on the bodies, reading: “Your betrayal will not pass without punishment. A harsh punishment awaits.”

Israel Hayom cited a Hamas official saying that two other terror groups, Islamic Jihad and the Mujahideen Brigades, participated in the execution.

The public executions came just hours after the UK, Australia and Canada announced their recognition of a Palestinian state. Hamas has a long history of executing Palestinians accused of collaborating with Israel or, most recently, stealing aid.

In early May, Hamas executed six Palestinians and shot another 13 in their legs after they were accused of looting humanitarian aid.

Horrific: in western Gaza City, Hamas militias stormed the tent of a displaced man, dragged him into the street in front of people, shot him in the legs.

We know from our latest research before the war that most children in the military detention system face appalling emotional and physical abuse, including 86% of them reporting being beaten by Israeli authorities in detention, and 69% reporting having experienced sexual violence and abuse.

This is what Israelis do to Palestinian children in detention. I don't know how anyone could argue that they don't need to keep their hands off Palestinian children when they are sexually abusing almost 70% of the children they take and beating 86% of them. Vile people who need to be locked up themselves.

69% reporting having experienced sexual violence and abuse

Save the Children reporting the same statistics in July 2023;

and 69% strip-searched, according to new research

Some report violence of a sexual nature...

Hmm funny but if you'd followed the thread of the conversation you would see that I was looking for evidence for this statement:
Yes, dragging people out of tents and shooting them

Which was made before any article about what they were referring to was posted and I wanted to read more about it because without context it looked like innocent people were being dragged from tents and shot.

isn't really the significant issue to my mind.
No not now that I have the context. So I was right in looking for evidence of the original statement which was misleading.
